Well I got 2 questions... one of them I found an answer on but I figured sense I'm doing this might as well ask it anyways...
1. Do you need data for Google wallet? I found no but want to be sure.
2. Will I still be able to use wallet with root access??? I get a device not supported message click here for details on the wallet application.. here's what it links me too
Thanks!

1. Yes, you can use it without data connection on the Nexus.
2. Yes, you can still use it.

Is there an app out there that can show what is currently using wifi on the Nexus 7? I just picked up my tablet and I noticed that there is wifi activiy and I would like an app that shows what exactly is using the connection since I don't have anything running that should be having a constant connection? So kind of like a firewall but without the need to block programs. I just want to see what is using the connection
Just look at the notification bar. It is posted there.

The notification bar does not tell me what process is using the internet. The wifi icon just shows network activity. I want to know what is causing that network activity
Oh, my bad man. I thought you needed to know which network you are on. Sorry about that. In fact I've been looking for something like that too.
You could always try using the data usage feature in your settings to see what might be doing it. Go to it, wait a minute or so and then refresh it. Whatever numbers have changed in that time are the culprits.
Afterwards I'd recommend Droidwall if you actually do want to block certain apps from the internet. Assuming you're rooted that is.

Yeah same here. I've been waiting for them to find some way to make it work for 4.x for a while now. That app was awesome

The thread is old, but for those that may need such tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471272
320dpi is too big for my tastes.
I prefer 268dpi for more densely packed info while keeping ui elements close to center.
But! Whenever I want to search for apps, I need to set dpi to 320, reboot, clear market data and then open it to shop as I please.
Is there any workaround I'm missing? Anyway to keep a custom dpi while still keeping compatibility?
Please and thank you.

Could you elaborate on the second method? Is there any way to do it without a modded play store app?
When I Google, all I'm finding are results to change product/device name so other devices can have same compatibility as Nexus devices.

Try Paranoid Android?
Every time I load up Google wallet it says unsupported device. Will it still work if I want to make a payment at a store?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
yes it will work
Yes. I did it last night.
I thought that you need to temporarily unroot your phone in order to use Google Wallet?
No, there's no problem with root. It'll just say unsupported device, but Google Wallet works just like normal.
Yup, you can use it with no problems. Ive used it more than 10 times when i went on my christmas shopping. Its so awesome. Cashier's face is priceless when they see you pull out the phone to pay. Lol.

Nope, that would be renting / buying videos from the Play Store.
Is there any way I can get the Samsung Remote app to be installed on my Nexus 4. It seems to be incompatible?

Ive never gotten it in full screen even when I had my galaxy note.
I had it in full screen in my Nexus S. But then I also could download it from Play. Hop someone know a fix to get it to my Nexus 4. It's a great app to navigate i my TV and I miss the automatic Qwerty keyboard.

Where did you find it? Can you share this app? I need it working badly also.

here ya go. its a free app anyway but hopefully i dont get in trouble for sharing it.
My Nexus 4 was stolen a few hours back.. I have activated the android device manager but I had only activated the remote ring option. The remote lock and wipe options aren't activated.. As I see this options are greyed out...
Now what I am requesting help here is:
1. If the thief changes the Sim card, can I still track the location of phone using device manager? I called Google helpline and they confirmed this but I am not sure if they understood my question correctly.
2. All my Google and other passwords are saved on the device. So if I change my Google account password, can I still access the android device manager remotely?
I couldn't find these specific answers online hence creating this new thread... Any inputs are appreciated!

If you use Android Device Manager you should be able to see where the device is right now.
Adm won't show where my stolen phone is. I can make it ring apparently, that's it.

That's odd I also read a while back that it should allow you to track it if that doesn't work you can install plan b and do a remote push and then track it! Hurry time is of the essence

Looks like the device is off as the location is not updating. Or is it possible that the @s$%&# has deleted my Google account - will that remove my remote access to the device manager as well?
Also can anybody answer my 2nd question: if I change my Google account password, can I still access the android device manager remotely?
Apologies if I am sounding too demanding, I am just seeking help of fellow xdaers as a last ditch effort to track my nexus ..

I know that India is far away form Europe, but I'm pretty shure that you have pockets in your trousers, too... And I'm wondering, why you haven't been using them... N4 isn't such big that it can't be hidden in a pocket... I will fight to death if someone will be going to steal my N4
