Thanks!!!
Flashing works, i am a little busy, i'll return and i'll try to make multitouch work with all apps later
update? I know there's a lot of skilled people in this forum, please try if these works so us noobs can know if it's safe to install..
These are drivers from x10 I'm pretty sure it will take more than a few minor tweaks to get working on x8. I really hope I get proved wrong though.

if I try this is there any risk of bricking, etc.?
Dammit, man who wrote that article is TOTAL n00b... he didn't even mention that it's for SE, nor that it's for Xperia, and ONLY for SE Xperia X10... that thing there is Bin4ry's flash bundle for X10 dualtouch...

Wait... don't tell me that you've successfully flashed this kernel and got multitouch? At least in multitouch visualizer??

Flashing the kernel is an success, aplying the multi-touch to all apps bricked my device. I restored Xrecovery backup and that's what unbricked it, try doing the step that aplies multitouch to all apps and tell me if it worked for you
He flashed the kernel?
I thought it wasn't possible to flash kernel on x8 show us a screenshot of your kernel version please?

Doubt it, I'm sure the MT drivers in the package are kernel dependent therefore wont work on stock x8 kernel.

U cant, U8800-51 is more like U8800pro than U8800, U8800 has different wifi,bt chip, and U8800pro only has different proc.

Have any rom to upgrade my u8800-51 to gingerbread?
You are spanish language native? i've made a guide to upgrade unofficially, and (of course) with some bugs, u8800-51 to cyanogenmod 7.1 (Gingerbread 2.3.7)
So, i upgrade with the pro version official?

Put the dload folder on sd card and press vol+, vol- and power the downgrade starts automatically. If pink screen appears, it is wrong
there's no need for that, just backup the phone with cwm

I've sent you the guide in a private message, backup froyo, etc..
Te mande la guia por mensaje privado xD, hay instrucciones pa respaldar froyo iwal :B, saludos
I can not rooting the device, the following message appears: "Following the device does not have drivers installed" "IDEOS
USB/VID_12D1 & PID_1038 & MI_01 "what should I do?
That's because you have not update the drivers.
You must to go to control panel, then click into device manager and there you check the IDEOS device, right click and click on update, then search manually (Mobile Partner > drivers > select adb_driver) and that's it.
sewa2k I read your "how to" thread on mobilecloseup.com and I have few questions to you:
1. the reboot bug could be fixed?
2. is there any mod more "stable" for the u8800-51 which can supports 2.3?
Thank you in advance, gracias
I don't know what is happening with my tab. Every time the screen goes off the tab shuts down itself. I'm running Taboonay 3.0.1 ICS on v. 7 unlocked bootloader. I used Afterota to install custom recovery and the unlocked bootloader and I'm affraid the combination between these 2 was not the right one. Could you please help me with some advices about how to fix this?
Thanks

Your tablet is having SoD (Sleep of Death).
Read the opening post in the taboonay thread one more time and focus on things that are written in red.
Thanks. Followed the instructions and it worked. No more SOD. Thanks again

I remember similar problem on HTC Desire where it was due to wrong graphics driver. Maybe you flashed something wrong, but I cant say for sure.
Otherwise it can be a loose display cable or hardware issue too.

Maybe you've flashed a kernel from another device or the other things I mentioned, I can't help you with that. Maybe hardbrick guide can help you out.
