I tired it for a few days. But using some of the basic features like weather and traffic drained my battery like crazy. It needs location access for a lot of stuff. I could find no option on how often to refresh.
But it was fun while I had it. Everything worked like it should. But a oem 1500 battery and our older phones don't hang to well.

As far as battery life goes, I don't think it uses anymore than a static BG does, from what I've seen after 5 days of usage.

This has been around for a long time I rocked it on my N1 pretty much since i got it. I use to rock it on the evo to but it gets such poor battery life that I had to stop using live wallpapers.
If you like it pay the guy the 50 cents. Support the developer don't **** him and download it behind his back or post it here as warez.

Have you ever seen GB on HTC devices? All the factors of GB are gone there too. This glow effect and screen off animation is a trade mark of Google Nexus S I guess. Thats why Samsung and HTC don't have it on their devices.
But the good thing is that you can get these effects on the GALAXY S
I'm on Darkys RC4 and I have all of these effects Thats why I prefer Custom ROMs over Stock ROMs!

what i found was that the batterystats.bin is deleted automatically once the charger is connected / disconnected every time with xxjvk...
For me there are no change from JVK to JVB ....
Btw : it's just a FroYo with a better design...
Could you check that you are able to find
android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct.xml
in /system/etc/permission which is absent in JVK?
This is a reason why JVK has a multitouch problem.
I haven't taken the plunge as yet but I guess they got rid of bugs and stability issues in this build. Don't think the build was based on looks but rather performance.
That's why we have stock roms, to improve on everything from the looks to performance the stock roms are missing

The browser is annoying as i9000xxjvk, more specifically, the scrolling. it just scroll for 2 pages and stop. What I want is to swipe my finger and I can scroll from top of the page to bottom.

1.) Recalibrate your battery once
2.) Pull battery off and let it outside the phone for at least one hour.
3.) Put it back to the phone, boot charge up again to 100% and recalibrate it again
After this your stats should count precise again...

Just change the filter to total since boot rather than unplugged. Sensor usage depends on how you use the phone as well not the same for everyone. If you're on the interwebs or youtube and rotating alot or using the phone the sensor for when to dim the screen, it will be much higher

JT has a really nice version of ICS. Right now it's my daily driver.
~This is going to take crackerjack timing, Wang.~
I finally flashed his 4th build although I had been planning to wait until it was sbrissenized (meaning ICS with TSM Parts for anyone who doesn't already know what I mean by "sbrissenized"). So far I'm liking it... It'll be even better with a couple of Maraschino cherries
Has anyone seen John Connor?

battery isn't that great, but it did run Pandora for my work place for 5 hours yesterday (screen off of course) and that only took a 20% hit. Not near as bad as I expected. My Gmail keeps stopping though and I kinda need that. That's literally the only problem I've had. And randomly during a call my screen won't come back on till reboot, but might be my undervolting. I'm gonna reflash and see if that works before I go try that new CM7 KANG build. Hope this thread stays decent...

Only problem is my phone is getting some lag with the latest build... Perhaps because ICS was designed for newer hardware than what the Fascinate has (especially in terms of RAM)...

Well...the launcher is SLOW. Once I replaced it with ADW and a qtpie ICS theme it's much, much better. One trick I've found is enabling 2d hardware acceleration, and then downloading spare parts and disabling compatibility mode so apps don't get all screwed up.
This smooths things up quite a bit, along with a slight overclock. Everything is smooth as butter, and I'm not exaggerating here! I do however suffer from random reboots, this could be caused by my overclock though. I also limited background processes to 4 to see if that would help anything, I'm still testing it.
As for the extremely loud in call volume, Chopper's tasker setup is working perfectly so that's not an issue. And then no voice recognition software or tethering works, no tethering actually sucks because I own a WiFi only tablet.
Also I've noticed when I receive a call, the person on the other end hears static if my screen is on. And for some final touches I bulletproofed my launcher with a part of the supercharger script.
No MMS...could care less about that.
Battery life is mediocre, I'm still calibrating it though.
Sorry I kinda jumped all over the place.
Those are my thoughts on Ice Cream Sammiches.
I am really surprised at how amazing jelly bean really is on the s3, with ics it was fast and smooth already but now it blazes.
it is faster and smoother than my iphone 4s on ios6 and my wp7.5 hd7 of old which now belongs to my brothwe. it equals in smoothness that of my iPad 3 and in many ways is faster add depending on the app it generally opens them faster.
it is s real winner. battery life could be better but I'm more than happy at the moment and it was well worth the wait!

I have both. I think that the SGS3 was already faster on ICS than the gnexus on JB. The gnexus is slower to load apps and lag a lot on places like the widgets menu.
I can only recommend Paranoid Android on the S3, I'm simply amazed by this ROM...

That's your opinion. I've tried both, and the S3 is faster, and better imo.
Certainly on AOSP it is without a doubt, ill always choose AOSP first and foremost now there can be no going back to Sammy ROM's only as a secondary ROM, i can live without FM Radio (i always use Tune in Radio PRO anyway much better highly recommended app) and other small things you don't get IN AOSP the good far outweighs the bad.
I have to agree Project Butter is a lot better than in the leaks, but there is optimization to do, like the widgets draw, which still lags until it is fully pulled into memory.
I can't wait to see what the updates have to offer.
And would u mind telling us how u managed with the freaky lag we get when we try to open phone dialer after it being closed 4 a while? Why do they call it a phone when the thng it does the worst is opening the phone app!
Just be thankful you don't have the WiFi issue that it gave me.
Beforehand, no problem connecting to the WiFi.
Now, I have had to disabled "power saving mode" in the menu *#0011#, because whereas previously on ICS, it would connect if the WiFi got dropped (say, it went to sleep, or I disabled it), unless I do this, if it gets dropped, it would not reconnect until I reset the phone.
Very, very annoying.

Wow! Google should have never brought project butter up in the first place. Now we have some weirdos having a weird placebo effect thinking that the GS3 firmware does not incorporate PB when it would be absolutely retarded and more difficult for Samsung to take it out of the source code and add in half butter. That is like the most hilarious thing I have ever heard. No developer would rewrite PB to operate at half.
There is a possibility that touchwiz animations do not look as smooth as AOSP animations to some eyes but I highly HIGHLY doubt it that they would change the genetic code. lol
People need to stop tripping or otherwise Google is not going to even bring up any transition improvements to prevent this crap from happening to their OEMs that use Android skins.
