How to install gtalk.apk?

Hi,
I'm a new user on android and I search googletalk.apk for install on my htc desire with orange france rom
Anyone can upload this apk?

I can't install gtalk.apk , how to install it please?

Won't install for me either.
Looking in logcat that comes with the ASE, I get the following message:
E/PackageManager( 75)ackage com.google.android.talk has mismatched UID: 10113 on disk, 10119 in settings
Any idea a) what this means, and b) any way round it? I.e. by editing the settings file, or changing the UID in the apk using a hex editor?

I've just put this onto my Orange HTC Desire.

just a crash when I clic on menu => more => condition and confidentiality
but gtalk work for tchat with my contact, so it's ok
edit: uninstall and reinstall = fix crash

To be exact Titanium Backup states that Google Talk Service 1.3 and Google Talk 1.3 are missing, so i assume only gtalk apk is not enough.

Sorry if I offend, but why would anyone think GTalk to be important? Yahoo Messenger, Kakao Messenger and WhatsApp all have more users than GTalk, and of course, in any chat app, that is the most important thing--the number of users.

[WIP] visualADB for Windows

Hi Guys,
I am kinda bored (and I hope it is the right forum here), so I decided to learn c# and make a GUI for adb on windows.
actual state of what is actually working:
- it recognizes if the phone is plugged in
- you can see /
- you can change to a dir, but the file listing of the dir above doesn't disappear.
- you can remount the device as r,w
- nothing more...
TODO:
- fix bugs
- add "push" button to upload files to device
- logcat button to view logcat
- an easteregg, cuz I want to be funny....

it's pretty useless until now... but I like to share.

just paste the exe into /platform-tools
Windows only, you need .NET Framework 4...
btw: source will be given, when it's stable and I don't have to shame for the code, cause until now it's full of bad comments

first of all thanks to sohan rawat and other dev. to hard work.when i finished download rom eset smart security says :
android/plankton.I trojan horse !! . and dont allow zip files ..other side download link says d-h.st/LcC VİRUS STATUS O.K
whats the problem ??

To start off with there are no viruses for android - only apps with a given permission which you agree to when you install it
nothing can be changed on your device unless you installed it giving it permission to do so
Simply having a file on your phone will not effect it at all
some anti virus give what are called false positives - it thinks a file maybe dangerous because it's coding is written in a certain way which could alter how other files of the system run either intentionally or not
either way they are harmless
there is no such "virus" threat to installing this rom

no bro its not virus its a app . some antivirus dedct it as virus bt it not. plzz dnt flame anythng bad about rom. this app is from v1 now v2.5 comes no bdy hve any prob ? its a play store app . u cn chk this on play store.. and read marcussmith2626 post for more info..

That apk brings up a pop up message displaying a received sms and giving options
it's a false positive - why? Because it's an app that manipulates other apps - as iv already explained before some coding will be flagged as they are designed to alter the way the system and other programmes work
there is no virus!

like hell I do,yes but there is a problem with my current ROM,MTP Application and USB Settings apps are deleted,just read the names and you'll see that those two apps are responsible of connecting with PC!
since I don't have them,I cant's install a new ROM,see?

Look bro Mtp, Usb or whatever apps u are asking doesnt Relate to connecting ur phone.in Download mode!
Just Switch it off and open Odin and select d file and
PRESS VOLUME DOWN, HOME,AND POWER AT THE SAME TIME TILL U DONT FEEL A VIBRATION and peave it
Then select yes to boot in download
And connect ur phone and let ur pc or laptop do its works they will load the driver automatically and just Flash!!
DONE

Move usbsettings and it's odex file to system/app give permission rw-r-r, and mtpaplication and it's odex to system/priv-app give permission rw-r-r, reboot and test if now your phone is recognized by the pc.

Did work? Or didn't? If didn't work maybe you should take it to Samsung care because is possible that is hardware problem.
