Hi all I have x2 Nexus 7 32gb versions.
The old one came with build JRO03D and the new one came with JRN84D.
When I updated the new N7 to Jellybean 4.1.1, the build became JRO03D, question is, which is the newer build number ? I thought it was the JRN84D as it was the new Nexus batch that just got delivered.
cheers
JR003D is 4.1.1 where as other is just 4.1

hi sorry, my bad, they are both 16gb.
Maybe a noob question, but did Google release one baseband for all the Nexus 4 devices all over the world? If that is so, why for example is Samsung releasing different basebands for different regions?
Can somebody who had an official OTA download post the number of his/her baseband? Just to check, thanks!
There is only one version of the Nexus 4, therefore there is only one baseband

It's correct that there's one, international baseband, but it has been upgraded several times. It though it was like this:
4.2.1 = .33
4.2.2 = .48
4.3 = .84
Here's a picture of my current one:

also, what are the differences apart from the compilation number?
JWR66V is the main.
JWR66V is full of bugs but JSS15J is much better, stable and got better GPU speeds within the kernel but the reason it was not released for the Nexus 4 is because it was suppose to be for the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 7 itself has that update anyway.

Yep, unfortunately if you want fully stock then that is not really an option but you can look in the development forums for the perfect one for you, there is literally more then 1 available.

Ok I was updated with the new ota parnoid android rom. Tried to flash it and immediately it failed. I really don't know how to read the error codes, but I did see it said my Nexus 7 (2012) was a tilapia instead of a grouper. I know for sure i suppose to flash only grouper roms from parnoid. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? I'm trying to flash the cm11 rom and stuck.

Tilapia is the GSM version (cellular data). Grouper is the WiFi only model. You may be using the wrong version.
I'm using the ota update they usually send. This time isn't not working properly. Even if I try to flash any rom under a gig i it won't flash. I think since I updated to 4.3 things not operating right

Root is in the ROM. Has nothing to do with version of OS

Just update ! It's all.
Guys,
Am on the latest version of PA rom on my Nexus 5, i.e pa_hammerhead-4.4-BETA1-20140603.
I want to now upgrade to the latest RC1, i.e pa_hammerhead-4.4-RC1-20140611.
How exactly do I do that? Just flash in recovery and move from PA 4.4.2 to PA 4.4.3? Or do i need to first update device 4.4.3 and then PA 4.4.3?
Or is a clean wipe and install enough?
Specifically, how do we update the the radio and boot loader before flashing the ROM. Are the updated 4.4,3 radios already included? Meaning I can just download the ROM via the PA OTA and flash? I am also on 4.4.2 last Beta mentioned above.

I am still on the D820 November 2013 radio. Should we update to the 4.4.3 radio dated May 7? What happens if we dont update the radio.

It doesn't matter. It's a choice of if you want to update or not.

So if I have the latest 4.4.2 PA ROM, I can just skip flashing the radios and bootloader and directly update to the 4.4.3 PA ROM?

I updated my nexus 4 from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 and I have some problems with it. WIFI, notifications, home button doesn't work. Anyone have solutions for it? I don't want to wipe data.

Your problem was from changing the kernel... Wipe clean and reflash and don't touch the kernel!

So Im forced to do it.. It doesn't work because franco kernel don't have support for 4.4.3 or what?

You need a 4.4.3 kernel.
Before reporting bugs you should always try the rom as it ships. You should not report things when you have modified them with kernels or mods, xposed, etc
