Invisible Shield - Galaxy S III General (US Carriers)

Anyone have the full body Invisible Shield on their SIII? How is it holding up?
I sprung for the full one with installation on my TBolt, since I generally prefer to carry the phone in my back pocket, but I found that the smaller side pieces peeled up rather quickly. Thoughts?
Edit: Someone move this over to accessories please.

I have the full Invisible Shield body condom on my device and have a Belkin surround TPU to protect the sides of the device as well as provide a minimal amount of screen and back cover drop protection.
Anyway, Invisible Shield is holding up quite well. Got the SGS3 the day after the pre order launch day and installed Invisible Shield about a week later.
trick was that I did not pocket my device for 2 weeks after installation. I had the same protection kit for my Epic 4G (SGS) and the screen and back film slid all over the damn place. Invisible Shield advised that I needed to keep the device cool and free from pockets for up to 10 days after install to allow proper curing (which seems to differ from what they say in their instructions).

Ok, thanks for the info

I use ghost armor and its awesome.. carbon fiber or matte give the phone a great grip/handle

I have the full body maximum coverage on mine and a Belkin TPU on top of it. It is working great. I have had a full body Invisible Shield on every Android device I have owned with great success.

Just fyi... guy at sprint store said the sgs3 scrren needs to "breathe" and if it doesn't then you risk burning out pixels...
I told him he was full of it... but he seemed pretty sure

I like ghost armor. Here in alderwood mall they have two kiosks ( with a high turn over rate i might add) where guys install it for you. Although they charge alot for a full body install which is ridiculous. They are like auto shop, charge alot for a labor.

Ghost Armor is a ripoff and garbage imo. I have given them multiple chances and their stuff scars fast and easily and it starts peeling up fairly fast. Not to mention more orange peel than Zagg.

Who has a screen protector?

If you have a screen protector can you please post which one? Please include a description of it, does it help with glare, fingerprints, and any sacrifice in display quailty? How much you pay and a link if not bought at a retail store.
I know people have them, but not much commented on how they are once installed. Thanks.

Zagg invisible shield. It helps remarkably with fingerprints and glare. No impact on touchscreen. 20 bucks at their online store. Got it in 2 days.

I think I'm going to try out the Zagg. As much as I don't like the idea of spending $30 on a screen protector, its worth it. I have $50 at best buy anyway. Wish they had a display with it set up. Or does anyone know of a way to rerun a screen protector if your not satisfied with it?
I really can't go any longer without one.

Upon further investigation, if you buy the zagg from the directly, which is $10 cheaper than best buy, they give you a 45 day money back guarantee. I may just take advantage of this if I can't test one out.

I've ordered some from the company before and they are good to deal with. I think they also have a lifetime guarantee if you register your protector on their site.
Using GadgetShieldz
I've just ordered Gadegetshieldz, they don't make it for the A500 yet, but you can use the "DIY" version and trim it to fit before applying it. I've used their products for almost all my phones, I prefer it over Zaggs or Skinomi stuff.

It'll take about 1.5 weeks to arrive (since it's a India company - oversea mail), but it's cheap and does the job. In fact, i have one for my iPad (1st gen) and I like it a lot.

I got this one too. It's surprisingly easy to apply.
Attached is a photo I took with the front cam of my Iconia. There's an unprotected gap at the edge of the front where you still can see the reflection from the windows.
I bought the Zagg directly from their site. Installed it just a few minutes ago. Pain in the rear to get it lined up and laid down. I'm interested in seeing how well it calms down over the next couple of days. I installed one on my sons Ipod as a dry application and granted even though it's much smaller it was way easier to handle and install than this wet application was. I will reserve judgement for a few days and see how it turns out.
Xoom Protectors
I bought a pack of 3 from the Verizon store for $24.95 - they go on easily and although they don't cover the bezel, they do cover the entire screen area with about 1/8" over all around. Nice protector and very durable.
ZAGG Invisible Shield
I've been using ZAGG Invisible shields for quite a long time.. Most are pretty easy to install. With the exception of this one.. Took a few tries but I got it on there. One of the best things I can tell you about them is that if anything goes wrong with them. They give you a lifetime replacement warranty. Just make sure you register the product and you are covered.. So what I like is that they stand by their product.
Just in case you are interested about that tidbit.
Zagg Shield
Very disappointed with the Zagg shield. a real bit** to install and I hate the way it feels. The drag on your fingers is definitely there. I should have realized I wouldn't like it because I had one for my Omnia phone and I ended up taking it off of that as well.
I really liked the Zagg body glove on my wife's phone but hers is not a touch screen.
Oh well, live and learn.
I had the Zagg shield put on the Acer A500 and I like the feel of it. Easy to clean and seems to reduce some glare.
I paid Best Buy $15 to put it on. Best decision.
I watched the BB person apply the shield. The process took about 20 minutes, and she got it right the first time.
After watching, I am convinced that I would have messed it up.
The stylus is useless with the the zagg cover right?

I want to buy a Samsung Google Nexus S I9023 but it does not have a Gorilla Glass. If I use a screen guard, will that be enough protection and will it impair the touch experience?

Yes it will be enough as long as you don't throw it at a wall or drop it(although I still recommend the gel case or hard case in addition to screen protector) and I haven't noticed any hindering of elegance and I am using the Zagg screen protector. It may take a week but it will mold right in and you'll hardly notice it is there.

It was really a relief. Anyway am from India and will have to look for local equivalents but hearing that it would not impair the experience was a deal-saver Thanks really.
I use the phone without a screen protector for about 3 months now. I don't have a single scratch on it. I always take good care of it and never put it in a pocket with anything else (except maybe a handkerchief).

Same with me; no screen protector and I've had mine for about 4 months without any problems whatsoever. I don't even take any special precautions except to make sure there isn't any sand or anything on the screen before I wipe it.

I didn't have it more than two days before the protector was put on it. This is, of course, only because I get a discount on accessories occasionally at the store I usually go to. So 25% off sounded pretty good without having to buy two accessories for the usual deal.

Anyone super over protective?

anyone else super OCD about getting any scratches whatsoever on their phone? especially when you order a case and it takes awhile to arrive!
No.i just left it in the box until case arrived.
Nope, I'm running naked, and don't plan on getting a case. Scratches happen.
As I always say to other Harley Davidson owners that I see with pristine scratch free clean bikes, "while your busy polishing and washing, I'm riding!"
Its just a phone, use it enjoy it, its bound to get scratches, dings, cracks etc.
I've been paranoid as sh!t using this phone naked while waiting for my case.
Already dropped it once, luckily it landed on corner and bounced safely, not a scratch yet.
But damn this thing is so sexy, can't take my eyes of it
Man this phone is so big it is ridiculously easy to drop. Better safe than sorry. Get a case.

Out of the like 11 years I have had phones I have only dropped them twice. Once my Omnia and once my OG Droid. Neither got anything more than a tiny scratch, both fell on pavement. I'm pretty good about not dropping them. They're my little electronic children!
With this phone I do have a case in the mail, and I'll be ordering a screen protector soon, if not just go into Best Buy when I get it and get one there.
My case won't arrive for another week along with the screen protectors. Going on a trip this week and am kinda worried right now.

Do you have a case for your phone?

Hi, I've had the nexus for two days now and yesterday I dropped it from about two feet to the kitchen floor. Nothing happened to the phone. The floor is sort of like plastic? I'm not sure what kitchen floors are made of. Anyway, this is my first glass phone and I'm very paranoid that I may crack it someday. I've seen what happens if you drop a glass phone, i.e iPhone and nexus and its scary. My previous phone; I never dropped it once (at least that I can recall), but this phone is a lot slimmer and easier to slip from the hand.
I primarily ask because I'm one of those people who would rather have a 'naked' phone. I feel like it shows the true beauty of phones, but I also don't want to have a shattered phone
I also take good care of my phones. But you never know what can happen.

Absolutely man, buy a good case and a screen cover. Its worth the extra 30 or 40$.
I use a pouch case (the shocksock leather one, looks very nice on the phone) which protects the entire phone when it's in my pocket but allows me to use it without a case or screen protector. Worked for me for two years with my HD2 (not a single scratch or dent apart from once when my friend dropped it when using it) and hopefully it should work for me with this phone too.

Tmobile store now has the hard body glove case and the silicon case. I got the hard case and it is great did not noticibly change the weight or size of the phone like a lot of cases
I bought the Acase Superleggera Pro from Amazon for $15 and have had it for a few days. I can finally rest easy about dropping it since it has the hard shell on the outside with the silicone layer on the inside almost like an Otterbox (2 stage case). All port cutouts are precise and buttons are easy to press. I've owned 2 other cases and both seemed to offer little protection for it. I just hope I never have to test it lol.
I'm just like you: anxious and not liking cases and I definitely advise you to use one. I bought a 3$ TPU case and it protects the phone well plus it makes it less slippery.

Using the official bumper + skinomi screen protector. Works very well for me. Dropped the phone once, ~1meter fall (from my pocket) on wooden floor, the bumper definitely saved it.
Take a case and a 2 protectors(face and bottom) to protect the phone from scratches. Both cost about 10 €
I use them since the first day and everything is fine for me. It saved my phone more than once.
Bought a Cruzerlite android army case. Fits really well, looks good, and the TPU material is soft and protective.

It's just stuffs with no animal products in it. This is the way I live, I hate violence, I hate slavery, so I won't support it in any way. I know it sounds funny when you don't know about it, but it's the only way we can reject animal cruelty. I could say a lot, but I think it's not the place to talk about it.

I'm using an ionic styled black case that you find on amazon for under 10 bucks. Great protection, doesn't add much bulk imo and it feels very good in my hands. Plus I feel safer with it on and that's what's important...ones own peace of mind.

I am using the Verizon screen protector, but other than that, no case. I hate cases and haven't found one I like for any of my phones (iPhone 3Gs, Iphone 4s, Lumia 920, LG G2). The only case I've ever considered was a wood back replacement for the iphone 4s' glass back, but I couldn't bring myself to spend $80 for it.
I just have a screen protector on it. Been browsing the accessory page trying to find a case I really like but haven't been able to choose one yet. I'm on the Next plan (ATT) so I have 12 mos before I can turn it in if I want.
I was.. But I switched to a poetic palette case because it was a little too slippery for me. Though I'm not a clumsy person and rarely drop phones, I had to get a grip on it. I may go for a glass screen protector since i plan to keep this for a while.

That's my concern ours the slip it has to it. Was thinking about a zagg type back skin.
LG G2
Someone a couple weeks ago used a fine still wool to buff off the slippery texture, though I didn't feel it myself so I couldnt vouch for it. It also changed the look of it to more of a brushed metal look. I may be in the minority but I like the pattern on my At&t version more than that.
LG G2
I'm using it naked and plan to have it in fantastic condition in 18 months. Did the same with LG Dare and Galaxy Nexus, though they have small scratches on 1 or 2 corners.
I just rarely drop things. I keep care for my important belongings.
Always nude never ran protection on any phone, ya just gotta be really careful
Vzw screen protector & the ugly folio case. I paid retail for my G2 wasn't gonna take a chance. So, I'm looking for a case with a small footprint. G2 is too cool to have a bulky case.
Always naked....always...DroidX...GNex...G2. I love the people that brag about how thin their iPhone is and they have this monstrosity of a case that makes it 4 times as thick.
I only use it fully naked in the house. Otherwise I have to put some pants on.
