ive just installed vegacomb coming from Corvus5 and when it comes on i get a message about if ive paid for this rom ive been robbed, ive installed the 9n version over v1 and v2 modded stock and am wondering if this is normal i havent as far as i know installed any updates on the base vegacomb. Vegacomb seems to be running fine but this message is like a nag screen is it normal and if its not how do i remove it there seems to be so many versions have i got the wrong one or do i need to do some other flash. Im going to install Honeyice over the top as that includes all updates and hope this fixes the issues.
Hi!
You didn't use the search function did you?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254361
I installed the leak after getting pissed about how long it took to get ics and how terrible honeycomb was. The leak has been incredible and made my tab sooth as butter... However I am afraid I won't get the official update which hopefully will be patched to include the ring.
How can I flash back to stock 3.2.1? I have I have looked all over and haven't seen a clear cut solution
Thx
if u r on hc bootloader all things bein equal then try a nand restore - worked for me.
if it doesnt or u on ics bootloader then its an EUU/manual apx downgrade procedure.
i've since flashed flexreaper, acer ring works perfect and so i'm sticking with it till the furore dies down and acer have their rom stable
Hay,
About 3 weeks ago my Slider informed me of a software update that i very quickly applied expecting it to be the 4.0.3 ICS update that the US version has...but to my horror i found that it was the generic Transformer TF101 update... not good, as it broke my keyboard!!! When looking in About my Tablet it said it was a Transformer TF101 running Android 4.0.3 Firmware Version 9.2.1.21 - no big problem there but it also said No Mobile Dock connected and the keyboard did not work!!!!
Quick call to Asus, and they informed me that there was no update to ICS for the UK Slider yet and that it should not have been able to download the update. They also told me that to fix it, i would have to send the Slider to them to be re-flashed / replaced as it is not possible to downgrade from ICS to HC - shows how much they know lol!
After rooting and installing CWM i decided to take the plunge and flash a custom ICS rom that claimed to work on the Slider -Revolver 4 RC3 with the compatibly files, but still no dock connected or working keyboard, had the same problem with ADHD so i thought i would try Revolver 3 (HC) but this also failed to fix my dock problem. I gave up and re-flashed back to stock HC and all is good appart from the Slider informing me of the OTA update.
Many people have been saying that the Transformer update would work on the Slider along with many of the custom ROMS such as Revolver and ADHD (or install the compatibility pack and use any), i have tried many ROMS now including the official Slider UK update from the Asus site, that again is just the Transformer one that the Slider downloaded OTA and non of them work with the dock / keyboard.
Any UK Slider owners out there running a custom ROM with working dock, if so which ROM you using??

Ill be straight to the point.. most of us have been using cm9 which is ics 4.0.0 since august 2012,each week, well sometimes every two weeks, since they are missing weeks. Cm9 is a nightly, which means there are bugs and issues, since teh rom is not stable. However, most of the problems have been fix and I have had not had any real issues with it, I do use it day to day, till a new custom rom (based off a previous cm9 nightly release) comes out that I want to try. but the roms has come a long way since build 1.
If something went wrong? like you bricked your phone. There is two ways.. create a back up in cwm before you flash cm9... or you can used kdz, which is used to recovery your phone if your brick it or you want to upgrade or download your firmware.
Also please give me more info about your phone. Like what baseband you are using, what country etc.
Also there are some stock custom roms, which are modified version of stock (2.3.6). With features like 1000 GHz overclock, new launcher, file manager and other useful tweaks/mods

Upgrade to the latest firmware using the Lg firmware site. Also make sure you do a back up when you install cmw, before you flash cm9. Also you might want to download the 1GHz Kernel, even if you dont plan to overclock, it will get rid of the battery bug on start up.

Scanning the forum today, I came across this:
[ROM] Z.A.D.Mix7 -Stock Base Rom-

It looks like it would solve all the issues I'm having with my A7:
Enable multi-user mode
Enable on-screen buttons
Replace ZTE's built-in apps.
Is this a safer route to go in general than installing Cyanogenmod (when it's ready)? I've got CM on my Nexus 4, and yes, there's nice stuff there that's probably not here, but is a de-bloated stock ROM more likely to be bug-free? More likely for the camera and sound system to work fully? Also, will a debloated ROM allow for OTA updates - or allow for them to be sideloaded? I guess I'm asking, if I were to install this, what would be the procedure to get Nougat once ZTE comes out with it? Wipe and re-flash? Or wait for a de-bloated ZTE nougat ROM and flash that?
In order to flash a ROM on your axon 7 you need to unlock your bootloader which causes your warranty to be void and you can no longer receive OTA updates. Also if you are running a custom ROM you will have to wipe your phone before flashing an OTA update. However if you are running the stock rom you will probably only need to flash the update. I've tried both CyanogenMod and Z.A.DMix7 and honestly Z.A.DMix7 is definitely the way to go. In my experience using Z.A.DMix7 it seemed to be as stable as the stock rim and didn't have any major bugs. The only problem I had with it is that since it it rooted there is no way to log into Snapchat. How ever if you don't want root I think there may be an way to remove root from the ROM however I haven't tried it so I'm not sure if it'll work.
I use the debloated rom with android n-ify, xStana, and gravitybox and it is much better than the stock rom. I haven't tried the cm rom. You would have to flash the stock rom and recovery to get OTA updates.
