My Nexus 7 wants to read everything out loud in my browser. How do I shut it up? I've tried disabling text to speech but that doesn't want to turn off either!
Uninstall talkback. Or disable in accessibility settings.

Had to try it to see what it was like. Man,it was annoying, LOL.
No offense to anyone who actually needs this because of a disability.

OK, did that several times and I think it took this time! I threatened my Nexus 7 with a factory reset and that apparently made it straighten up. It was effecting my browser and limiting web sites I could access. I couldn't even get back to this topic!

Found something wierd with developer options on this build. Not sure if I should post this in q&a or here, but general gets more traffic so.
Anyways I always disable animations fully when I turn on dev options. I have noticed that they do not stay set. The middle option, switches back to one. Not after a reboot, just at some point during sleep or maybe when a certain app or routine gets run. Not sure. Might be a setting that I have on interfering with my settings. Anyone else notice this?
I will probably reset and go through the setup again bit by bit to see what's causing this. Very noticeable when normally nothing but quickness happens between apps, then the stock animations start showing up randomly. Thx

I have the Sprint variant and I never noticed this until you pointed it out but yep, happens on the N900P as well.

So it is a bug! Definitely going to reset and setup bit by bit and see what does this. I also have a pebble. Do u by any chance? Forgot to mention that in the op, but who knows.
Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk 4
I do not own a Pebble, no.
I noticed the same thing, it happens to me mostly when I use the camera...I'm tracking to see what other apps cause it...if any

I set them all to .5 and they stick. Still see animations, but they are very quick. Also turn everything to "fast" in Nova launcher.

I tried that too, that's how I figured out the camera was causing it to switch back to 1x....

Cool, Def seems to be the culprit. Happened immediately after I opened camera too. Haven't seen anything else that I might be yet, but it might just be the cam. Thx

Has anyone found a workaround for this issue? anywhere? Verizons latest update fixed the call quality issue but the transition animation bug is still there...
No but the camera is the only thing that makes happen on mine too. On the update too. It's obviously a back burner issue. Hasent been too big of a deal for me, but I would love to see it solved.

Since I got my Note 3, I've been using S-Voice to do things like turn Wifi on and off by voice. But since I've been using it, it randomly get triggered. I left Hi Galaxy as the default phrase. Not sure why it's doing this. Any idea why it's doing that?

If you find s voice comes on randomly check your location services and that car mode isnt enabled to come on with a certain action or location. It was happening to my wifes when she hit a wifi point at home it would come on automatically but turing of location services for car mode to her wifi spot fixed it up!
I did disable the 'wifi location' and it worked
Hello again.
Not sure if this has already been discussed. Apologies if it was - I tried searching with Tapatalk but couldn't find anything.
I set my vibration settings to heartbeat but it doesn't seem to do anything. When notifications come through, I'm still getting the default long buzz. Anyone else run into this?

Hahaha yes I definitely am. It's sticking in terms of the option being persistent in the settings, but when it comes to it actually being used, I'm still getting the default long buzz. Will try a few of the other options and see what happens.

make your own one see if that sticks
Maybe this is a stupid question. Does the vibration pattern affect notifications or just the ringtone? I hate having such a long pulse for a short notification tone.
Apologies if it only affects the ringer. I'm just getting used to the Note 3. Can't wait for some good roms to come out for the Verizon version!

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I know. Same way here bro. But lock screen notifications helps a lot.

Works like a charm. Except one issue.
Only since installing the upgrade, every sms I send results in a toast saying "insert a Sim to send sms." I am on Sprint, correct APN settings, mms and sms are confirmed working, but still getting the toast.
Just annoying.

Maybe just uninstall hangouts and reinstall it. And fix permissions

same here but it seems to work again after a while, almost like the contacts needed to refresh or something.

Confirmed. Didn't like the new noise so I'm still using the old one XD
It's bugging me that it's always there is there a way to remove the notification and disable it from checking.

This will also have the unintended side effect of making location on android device manager unusable. I have been working to find a way around this but haven't been able to yet.
