hi
I would like to know what is different between QuickSilverCM - CyanogenMod 9 and CyanogenMod 9?
Basically QuickSilverCM 0.2 = cm-9-20120715-UNOFFICIAL-p6800 + TWEAKS + some magic (bluetooth) from lowtraxx.
Waiting for QuickSilverCM 0.3, which (maybe) will be based on cm-9-20120719-UNOFFICIAL-p6800 (bluetooth & autobrightness by locerra) + tweaks & various fixes by lowtraxx :highfive:

This depends on your taste. They are both built from the same Sources, but in mine I removed the Stock Browser and replaced it with Chrome, added Google Now and Google Ears and made some speed tweaks to init.d and build.prop. I worked with locerra yesterday to get the bluetooth issues sorted out and added the light sensor tweaks from Aorth, so basically the base is the same, just the machines they were built on differ

You are going to need to flash each individual one and try it out and if you are not happy with either one you can always flash back to stock, a bit of work but that's the only way to do it

If you already flashed over a new kernel, you can probably just reflash the whole ROM to get zig's kernel back.

What I would do is flash the rom first and the radio in bootloader. Cuz if you flash the radio first and then try to get into recovery, it will just keep asking to flash the radio. So flash the rom first and then flash the radio in bootloader

flashing oh what fun
Liked it...but had issues:
- Was not receiving text messages. They went out ok, but nothing in
- The lock screen freeze thing was more than just wait a moment, missed two calls because I couldn't get anything to work to activate screen
Other than that, it was peppy and I was liking what I saw

would this work only on at&t version? i have international using on at&t
Its I.C.S Framework only, so don't get too excited, although I must admit, it's an excellent Rom, very smooth, and best Miui build I have tried.

I have exactly the same problem, with my international GT-i9100
the back button constantly goes back to home and i'm unable to get out of applications such as image viewer äfter i've taken a picture" settings... pretty much everything and i tried a full wipe + dalvik wipe and still the same problem, it's a bit to unstable for my liking but if that issue could be fixed i'd use this daily.

Quick fix for me was to flash to a different kernel...
i flashed it with the Siyah v2.2beta4 kernel, now works beautifully!
Just a little advice too, if you previously had 2.3.5 and older, do not restore from titanium. it will give you a ton of FC errors and your phone will not function properly, if not, at all.

Hi,
I flashed this ROM, and then the "Samurai Kernel 1.3". In general, things are working very well. I however did notice that when making telephone calls while I'm using headphones, only the right channel has audio. The left does not. I don't have a chance to reflash to see if the "Samurai Kernel" is at fault yet..... I remember seeing (or maybe hearing???) this bug a long time ago on CM7 with an older version of Voodoo Sound, but this kernel doesn't have Voodoo sound.... I'm wondering if any other people have seen this issue, or if anyone can tell me that it is the Samurai Kernel 1.3 that is at fault.

Well the "issue" is how headsets are designed. You have your "normal" headsets used for listening to music and have two bands and your hands-free headsets w/mic which have three bands, but the issue that arises are the single ear pieces w/mic which have two bands like "normal" headsets. Since the "normal" headset jack and the single ear piece w/mic jack are designed identically (as far as I can tell) there's no way for the phone to differentiate between them so your phone sees your "normal" headset as a single ear piece w/mic while in a call. Thus audio only out one ear piece while your phone thinks the other is the mic. Course I'm no expert on the matter. This is just a conclusion I've come up with based of what I've seen/read (which honestly isn't much) so I could be way off.

Damn, blazing rom. Special thaks to Genokolar, I wish that he would participate more here in XDA.
This rom is like .35 CM7 done right. Speed is as fast as CM7, when you uncap FPS and batterylife is awesome compared to CM7!

You don't care, but others care The problem is that even with the wireless tether the wifi tethering don't works (it's my experience with MIUI ROM) with this ROM we don't know.
I have confirmed that wifi tethering works well like in CM7.
Been using it for the last one hour.

Any known bugs?
Anyone else experiencing slow WLAN speeds with this ROM? I seem to have this problem with every other 2.3.5. based ROM, WLAN speed drops to 1/10th of the original. Maybe my WIFI router just doesn't like these new ROMS?!

Haven't made any calls yet with the new ROM, but the same low volume noise bug still remains. You hardly notice it, so I wouldn't worry about it (and only happens with the phone's inbuilt speaker which is pretty much a joke for listening music anyways).
Is this ROM's interface similar to MIUI or to CM7? Can anybody post some more screenshots (homescreen, etc.)?

The rom is based in cm7. Genokolar says it in his own blog.

So far no random shuttdowns, my battery time is good aswell. Not the random clicks I have with original gb, cm7 and miui. Bether in call sounds the original gb, cm7 and miui. Even my wifi is preforming bether than cm7 and original gb, not shure about miui there. So far I am realy happy with this rom. So I will keep it. Prolly some ppl that don't agree with me there, but I like it

thanks for the quick response..
Here's some new code that will give you all of the tweaks and goodies found in the best roms but without having to flash a rom. These work on the SGN10.1. This is not my work, just passing it along. If you break your rig that's on you.

READ THIS! >> To use this you will need Busybox (just download and install from the Market) and INIT.D support (how to get that posted here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883125). I'm not kidding. This WILL NOT WORK without these.
Faster internet browsing
Longer battery life
Improved multitasking
Better JPG image quality
Higher quality recording from the camera
Faster scrolling
More responsive touch controls
Extra themes
** I have noticed that trying to implement the AdBlocker Tweak causes the installation to hang for me. I would avoid that. YMMV.
** PLEASE DIRECT ALL INSTALLATION AND FUNCTIONALITY QUESTIONS TO THE ORIGINAL AUTHOR'S THREAD. I DID NOT WRITE THIS JUST PASSING ALONG THE WORD.
** I KNOW THE AUTHORS ARTICLE INSTRUCTS YOU TO EMBED THIS IN YOUR CUSTOM ROM BUT I FOUND THAT YOU CAN JUST FLASH IT IN RECOVERY AS LONG AS YOU HAVE INIT.D AND IT WORKS JUST FINE.
Has anyone tried these? They are actually quite awesome.
I want to try it but would it work for a stock rom?

Yes that's the point. It gives you all the features of a custom rom without flashing a rom.

Yeah I ended up trying it and it definitely makes the battery drain even slower and the wifi speed is faster!! Everyone should try this ASAP there's soooo many tweaks and it managed to make this tab faster....I honestly don't think jb will improve that much especially using these tweaks!

I just Flash it few minutes ago. Definitely tweaks the system. I can feel it. I just don't try all the tweaks. Hulu Is not working for me. Crash the launcher.

One thing I notice is that I can now play HD YouTube videos without buffering issues. Also web browsing seems very quick.
Anyway not sure how all the tweaks will work with our bit if kit here so I just went with the ones I recognized.

Dunno. Check the original thread I'm sure they address turning it on and off.

MDPI
Guys I'm not an expert on this code. If you read the author's OP and followup you know as much about how this works as I do.

I must not have selected that option somehow. I have been getting a lot of buffering issues watching HD youtube videos since flashing this. I will try again to see if that will fix it.

I believe it is the video streaming tweak.
