I am in desperate need of help from this great community! ... I have had multiple smartphones (palm, blackberry, hero) and have hacked them all so I'm not a total noob at this, but I must admit this has me stumped ...
I rooted my phone about a month ago and installed fresh 2.0d ... everything was great with the phone ... it was superfast for me and had alot of cool features added from the stock 1.5 ... then slowly I started to notice a few bugs creaping out ... nothing major or that I couldnt handle / work around ... then yesterday my phone was in roaming mode all day and last night about 8 it lost all signal period ... I decided it was time that I reflash 2.0d ... when I boot into recovery I can wipe the data but when I try to wipe the dalvik it tells me to "run deldalv via console!" I used fresh kitchen and wiped dalvik and reflashed fresh 2.0d ... I also flashed the patch from fresh for menu-menu ... I have tried this multiple times and I still am unable to get my phone to connect to the sprint network ...
I have tried to search the forums and google several times now so if I am asking a question that is already answered somewhere else please be so kind as to point me in the right direction.
Thanks for any help!!! =o)
EDIT: I have just finished restoring a nandriod backup and I'm still not able to connect to the sprint network ...
I am still looking through the forums for answers, I'm thinking maybe flashing a new radio? possibly flashing another ROM to the phone ...

Yes I have reflashed the nandroid backup several times ... I have reverted back to 1.5 and back to fresh 2.0d ... several times and still no luck getting it on the sprint network ...
I read through the Fresh 2.0d thread and saw someone mention that they had no service as well and someone told them to update the profile and PRL ... I have tried to do both of these several times with no luck ...
I am about to DL Fresh 2.1.1 and another radio and see if flashing them on the phone will help anything out ...
could also be an issue with the raido on the hardware side, if flashing a new radio doesnt fix the issue then flash the stock radio back and then run the RUU and take it in to have it checked out.
thanks for the help chfields and wtphoto ...
I have been reading post after post and messing with the phone all night trying to get it up and running again .. somehow during one of my updates to the phone it error-ed out and now will only turn the screen on ... but when I plug it into the computer the HTC logo showed up ... I tried to flash a RUU to the phone but I kept receiving error 110 ... after searching online I found a posting where this guy says has saved about 15 Hero's that were in the same state as mine
Unfortunately it seems a bit complicated to me ... I'm having to learn about adb and fastboot (I originally used fresh kitchen to root my phone) ... at this point I'm going to take a break from this and hopefully after a taxing day at work tomorrow will have enough energy to come home and pull my phone back from the brink of death
ouch you got the 110 error that sucks man, from what I heard his method to fix it does work though.
Hey like ive offered to another guy im willing to help you out if you want just pm me if im on ive been in your shoe a while ago

Thanks for your offer! =o) ... After my last post last night I ended up trying ONE MORE TIME to bring my beautiful Hero back from the brink of death ... I was actually able to fastboot it and then to root it again ... however the post that I found while is a GREAT resource, it isn't the clearest in all of the steps of what to do for those of us that have never messed with the manual rooting ... so I'm having to referance other posts at the same time
I thought that I had it fixed last night but when I tried to boot it into recovery so that I could flash it again it started to show a triangle with an exclamation point on the inside and a phone below it ... so I'm sure that I'm very close to bringing the phone back to life, just have to play with it a bit more ...
I'm currently at work dealing with month end (I work in finance) so hopefully I can try to go home early to take care of more pressing issues!

Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the push asroot have some kind of bytes transferred? I have tried looking this up but I'm late for a birthday dinner ... the youtube video that I found shows 74512 bytes transferred
EDIT: I zeroed out my serial number just to be safe, in case anyone thought that might be an issue ...
after sifting through various forums and numerous posts I was finally able to get my phone booted into recovery! from there I was able to flash fresh 2.0d again and now have a working Hero again
However ... I'm left with my original issue that started this whole mess ... My phone will not connect to the sprint network ... I guess I'm off to many more google searches
You should try and update your PRL. If it is not 6066X then you are stuck roaming. I had this problem, and it was only after I got a new hero from the Sprint store that I found a fix. So just go to settings-about-system update and update PRL. You should get 60665. Hope that helps.

Sent via the XDA Tapatalk App
you could also try unrooting and sending it totally back to factory stock (see my signature for my guide) and then re-rooting again
My Hero is alive again!!!
After searching and reading every post I could get my hands on I was still unable to get my phone to connect to the sprint network ... I saw on the various forums that it was due to a PRL update issue ... I tried to use the built in PRL update feature with no success ... then I tried to manually update the PRL but was unable to without a code from sprint (and I wasn't willing to try a hack to find it on the phone) so I called sprint this morning and after spending over an hour on the phone with them I was finally able to get the PRL to update ... once that happend my phone was super happy!
I got my I5800 today, and knew about 2.2 and wanted to upgrade. I followed the guide, downloaded odin, ops files, all that. The process seemed to go well, it rebooted and then stayed at the "Samsung" screen and I waited over 20 minutes and nothing..
Now my phone doesn't work.. Doesn't go past the SAMSUNG screen...
Someone please help, I'm at noob with androids :/
Edit: Reverted back to the firmware version I wrote down that it had, and tried again and it worked
You don't need to start a new thread to report this...
Read This at first:
RTFM
Later you RTFM, you just can use the "Search" tool to find solutions...
If you don't do this, you are not able to flash/restore or do anything in advance. You just need to be a simple user...
Its like to buying a new TV or Microwave oven, at first you RTFM to power on later...
Please, just read!
Hey guys so I am facing weird problems. I have searched through the forums either I cant find anything or I am too scared to do any more experiments I really dont want to loose my Razr M XT 907.
Problems
Laggy performance at times
Camera gets stuck when I take pictures at times then I have to restart.
when I reboot my phone it shows AP Fast boot screen, then I have to access boot menu and select the second last option (Console something). It always shows Null:Null and when I change it back the phone reboots normally
Phone hangs sometimes and then responds with everthing I have clicked all at once.
The screen on off button responds a second late
I think you guys can help me better if I tell you what I did to this phone exactly since I got this phone.
What I did
I initially bought this phone with defaul OS 4.0.1 in Pakistan.
I then installed a Verizon system update of 250 MB that got my phone stuck on a boot loop (and made me cry almost)
I restored my phone to the settings it came in using this procedure
http://www.andromods.com/tips-trick/how-to-restore-unroot-droid-razr-m-xt907-stock-original-firmware.html
The phone worked fine for 2 days but then I got that update prompt again and it got annoying so I though maybe If i upgrade it to JB using the same RSD Lite method but a different ROM that may solve it.
So I applied the above Procedure using this ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250155
The method showed as Passed on RSD Lite but the phone got stuck on bootloop again so I paniced and tried restoring my phone abck to ICS using the method mention in the first link provided.
Then the phone got stuck on AP Boot Menu
Then I used DROID_RAZR_M_Utility_1.20 and used both methods 1 and two but it didnt work
Then out of the blue I went to the boot menu and I saw an option Switch Console (Null:null) I pressed up key on and null null changed to default:tty something it and the phone booted up just fine back to ICS
Now everytime I power off the phone it goes to AP Boot menu showing FASTBOOT REASON: Sticky bit factory_fastboot and I have to do the above to restart the phone.
What I need
Please help me restore my phone I dont want to brick it, I am a simple user I will need step by step guide
Anyone ?
Bump
Bump still looking for a solution
I have CM10 on mine and the camera is completely broken
Enter fastboot oem fb_mode_clear and problem gone.

I also have a solution, but you would need another phone...
But as cliMAKtic said, it's most likely way too late now. Same goes for your replies in other threads.

You can, but I'm afraid you won't. You'll rather achieve the opposite by bringing obsoleted threads back to the top.

Hey guys!
At first, this is my first post here so please be lenient if I posted this in the wrong section or whatever. I still need to get used to this forum.
Second, English is not my native language so it could become some gibberish from time to time. I also have to mention that my Android skills are somewhere between newbie and advanced, so please keep that in mind.
But let's get ahead to my problem:
Some days ago, I decided to install Linage OS 14 on my SM-N910F because I don't like the Stock Android 6.0.1 of it.
As you know, a custom ROM requires an unlocked bootloader an that's where my struggle starts.
I simply can't find any tutorial or similar for my phone. The only one I found didn't work (It was with adb fastboot, the process got stuck at "<wating for device>" after the command "fastboot unlock oem" which was described in the tutorial).
I retried it about three or four times before I gave up. It feels like I searched the entire internet, including this forum, but I couldn't find anything useful.
Maybe it's my fault because I didn't look properly, but yeah, know I'm here to ask directly:
Do you guys have any tricks, tipps, ideas or tutorials for me to try?
If it helps you, my phone is already rooted. (chainfire's CF Autoroot)
It'd make me really, really happy and already thank you for your (hopefully) incoming answers.

Pretty certain your bootloader isn't locked, you just need to install twrp with odin and then you are good to flash lineage

Thank you for your fast reply. I'll try it once again, moreover I'll let you know if it worked.
It's me again. Flashing the ROM worked, my phone now runs under Linage OS 14.1. But now I've got another problem: Gapps. Somehow I can't flash the Gapps package, TWRP always tells me that the file is corrupted. I downloaded both the Pico and the Nano package for ARM Android 7.1* devices. Both don't work. I also tried the Android 7.0.* version, but that didn't work ofcourse. (Error 20: Wrong Android version installed on the device.) Is it my fault because I downloaded the wrong packages or what's the issue?
It'd be awesome if you could help me again.
Vygravlil
EDIT:
Okay, now it works. TWRP was right, the file was corrupted. I figured out that my PC kinda messed up the download of the package. I downloaded it with another computer and now everything works fine.
My son tried to root Oneplus 8 Pro and failed, i tried to fix it and failed even harder.
Somehow the entire phone HD got formated and the phone was stuck in a bootloader loop or something similar when i got it.
Gooled a little and after a while i understood that MsmDownload Tool is what im looking for.
I checked for a suitable version of Oxygen and i think i picked the EU version but im not sure.
Anyway, after trying a few times i managed to install something, maybe oxygen or maybe a new bootloader im not sure to be honest.
I got a popup window telling me that the OEM Unlocking switch will be turned off.
The phone booted up and everything is working again, almost..
Now the phone says no simcards inserted, but there are working simcards in simcardslot and
i cant turn on OEM unlocking so i cannot redo the installation of Oxygen.
Anyone that can help me here?
