[Q] how can i know wich my baseband is?

i have downloaded rachts minicm7,and it requires xxx15 baseband,and i dont know wih i have...when i go to settings>about phone>baseband version it says m76xx-tsncjolym-53404015.is that xxx15 version?thanks!

No.. you have to unzip the file and copy the folder to xrecovery/backup/

Depends on which ROM you want to flash!

Its not impossible. . Before flashing, make a backup of the efs partition. For that you need to be rooted. Rooting guide here.
Then backup efs partition. It contains your IMEI. Guide here.
Then the basics of flashing. Flashing guide here.
Apart from these, you also have to follow some other instructions that ROM developers provide for their ROMs.

Which ROM do you have. Do mention the version number also.

Are you talking about an "update.zip"? Thats just a Package to update the ROM you already have. To do this :
1) Paste the update.zip in your sdcard
2) Reboot into Recovery (Press and Hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Menu Key + Power Button )
3) Select "Apply sdcard:update.zip"
4) Reboot
For doing this, you need to have the whole ROM already installed in your phone. And that will come in a tar package (.tar file).
Flash it using Odin as One Package. And then apply update.zip.

So far, I have still got the standard ROM, but I am trying to get Kyrrilos on my phone.

No. You have to use ODIN to flash. And the .ops(apollo_0531.ops) you have to select it says "SELECT OPS".

Oh Kyrillos' ROM!!
For that first you have to download v5.5. There are 2 parts. Download them both in one folder. Then extract only 1st part. Second part will get extracted automatically. You ll then have a .tar file. Then remove SIM and SD. ollow Kyrillos' instructions. Flash and done.

okay so im starting this thread coz i need help with decrypting the screen locks password/pattern :laugh: ...
Most of you might know that the password is stored in /data/system/
if it is a pattern lock ------> then it is stored in gesture.key :good:
if it is password lock -------> then it is stored in password.key :good:

now the problem is that even small password [4-5 letters long] are encrypted in upto 65-72 words...and pattern are much smaller however much more unreadable....:silly:
a simple pattern [ss attatched] gives ----->

and a password as simple as a123{alpha-numeric} [a character is necessary] gives more than 60 words.... ------->

U myt need to make the file again in the directory ....
Clear file --- no password
No file --- no !dea...test it.if fails push your original or make an empty one....
So many views...so less replies..guess i'll have to do it myself...

Hi to everybody
i am posting this noob question for a friend of mine. could somebody explain the difference between 5360 and 5369 ? cause we are trying to root the 5639 with no success and wondering whether files for 5360 could be used for 5369

download the zip file i gave you
extract it
put superuser in this folder system > app > here
zip it up
and flash it from Recovery
there... you rooted your phone

i think the model 5639 was released in only some specific regions....its carrier locked...
i think its for european region....

Galaxy Y 5369 is an Italian galaxy Y Branded. Install a stock rom of 5360 with odin, then root your phone. you can root galaxy y 5369, but it is preferable to install the stock rom of 5360. you can root your phone with SuperSu: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053

Zip it up means compress it using winrar... make sure you select 2 folders > META-INF na dSystem and then right click on them and then add to archive

Tried but did not work. I think that is carrier locked and so the only way is odin flash a stock rom for 5360 and root i. Thanks anyhow

tried but did not work. it says installation aborted. with the others flashable zip the procedure went fine but when checked the phone was still not rootedthanks for the effort anyhow.

Extract the file first ... You will find update.zip in it ... Flash that one ... Not the galaxy s5369 ...

If you flash a stock rom of 5360, when you're going to root your phone you won't have any problem. Then you can also change kernel or install a custom rom. The brand cause conflicts with custom mod.

Hello everyone ..... my phone wont turn on wifi or bluethoot, i change the rom the modem and nothing happens , I did the data reset the wipes and nothing at all happens ...any help will be grateful ,now i have the TTT trinidad and tobago rom

Wifi is kernel control , change kernel or reflash it , Perseus had some issues in the past with wifi

Switch wifi power saving off
Dial *#0011#
This will take u into the Service Mode
Press the left bottom key... A menu will popup....
Select Wifi... Once in the Wifi settings , turn it off...
Exit

If it says true , change to false

Hi ,
If it was working fine before rooting , maybe something went wrong , you could try to flash again your stock rom with Odin..or flash a custom rom and try, I am using Omega Rom is as close as you can get to stock , fast and stable.
Before you do anything , backup first , do not forget to backup your EFS folder.

now i have the trinidad and tobago ariginal rom, i ve note in the efs folder in wifi folder I have nothing .....
if someone passes me without imei efs folder and I put my imei file... its work?

Hi ,
Mate , can you register in you carrier network , can you make phone calls?? if so your efs folder is fine , may be is just your explorer or that you are not root...dial *#06# or go to settings/more/about/status do you see the right imei there?
In the wifi folder is only the mac info check the settings/more/about/status do you see your mac there?

when i flash de param.bin the phone restarts in recovery mode y nothing nothing else happens

Hi ,
You flashed the param.bin file and now you end up in recovery , cant boot?
What rom do you have now , from the pictures in your first post i assume you were in stock , flash a custom rom again or stock to get it back to work.
After that if you are skill and now how check if the antenna cable is well connected inside the phone

yes i have the trinidad and tobago rom rooted and the blue cable is well,and the rom is reinstaled now and no solution for now
