from what i've seen i think mujeni s last cm 9 android 4.0.4 is the best for now and maybe bliss sense 3.5 from mobile kon cause i think the camera features as recording works, and thats a plus for me . i don't really use radio or headphone, so..... i m still using windows 6.5 also.. and still hoping for a nand everyday use rom with all features and stable .. hope it will arrive soon

absolutely, the unrivaled number one and everybody knows ...:good::silly:

@ttherapon, my situation is the same as yours, I used android on my vogue/touch a long time ago, from sd. Now over the past two weeks tried android on
my mini, first via sdcard (too slow), and then photonic rom in nand, which worked fine, and I have just put on munjeni ICS 4.0.4. I like the ICS interface better, after managing to find everything. I am having a couple of issues with 100% cpu use though. There is also iplasm's phonerty, which I will try shortly.

Hi Therapon,
Battery life is great so far. If you charge the phone at the end of the day, and then leave it overnight, charge only goes from 99% to about 96%,
I am now using phonerty ICS rom, RC0.
I dont use bluetooth headset.
ICS runs great on the hd mini!
Roll on Jellybean.
Cheers,
DIvxmaster

Thank you for your reply. It seems that android is almost ready for my needs. All I need is battery life, speed, gps and bluetooth with hands free working. For now only bluetooth is not working. As soon as this is fixed I will install too.

Smoothest Rom + Battery Drainage Very Low

Sorry guys to open the classic topic about roms, but I've tried a lot of them without finding one able to achieve a good place in my top 3. Can you suggest me a very smooth rom (like iOS) with a very low battery usage? Thank you

Agree it is a classic question
and a classic answer is always 'try them all and see which one suits you best'
personally I found Pongster Hyperdroid (NAND) the best combo of func+battery...
as a rule Sense based roms will have more battery drain
can try
Ok will try it, ty!

Well simply put;
Compaired to the MDJ CM7 and Cotulla's Stock Rom all roms I've tested this month(about 5) are laggy, slow, have errors(applications stop working and that kind of stuff) and some don't even start. Therefor I was also thinking about creating a topic like this one, simply because it is a pain to find a good one out here these days...
No disrespect on the cooks,.. Your all hero's!
i use Coredroid 1.4 and i have about 5 mA

the only rom ive personally got running as smooth as my mother's ipad, dads iphone 3gs, or brothers iphone 4, is hyperdroid gbx. it runs actually fastER than both iphones in side by side comparisons (angering my family), and about the same as the ipad in overall smoothness. battery is phenominal, the only rom ive gotten to last all day with my heavy usage i like to play with my phone a lot (for standby 3-5ma depending on apps running)
3 mA in standby on desireZ 3.5
I think that's the winner
also I wouldnt dare to say it is not smooth or smth
I've also tried few ROMs and for me the best one is Rafdroid HD 3.1 Lite edition (without ext partition on SD). Everything works smooth out of the box.

The best ROM for NAND I've come across. HyperDroid GBX
It is extremely light. only 60MB installation zip
It is extremely fast and responsive
It has great battery life.
I used the phone extensively for about 16 hours (all day) with about an hour of calls, around 30 SMS' some EDGE usage, a lot of wifi usage at home. It was still at 70% by the end of the day! If that isn't amazing, I don't know what is
Manages around 2-5mA in standby.
Oh and any way I can get AmeriCanDroid on NAND? :O
I miss cyanogenmod
Thanks for your support! What a great community!

Moto-Mytouch4G. I've been using it for a month and its beautiful. The only one I've tried where the battery last the day for me. Very smooth very well laid out. Great nand!!!
My choice is Rafdroid 3.1 with ext4 partition. In stand by mode I have 2-4 mAh...
I think, best ROM is MDJ Cyanogenmod 7,smooth and most battery saver ROM what I have tested with lot of settings.
IMO, this is by FAR the best/smoothest build out. I've tried many, and this ROM is the baddest of all. The battery consumption is better, and all around functionality is good.

Glad you like it..
I like AmericanDroid. It's a SD build based on CyanogenMod7.
I've been using it and it works fine either out of the box or with ext partitions.

advantage of cyanogenmod

Soon Samsung will stop updating the galaxy s so should i install cyanogenmod 7 now or wait till the stop supporting it ...is it easy to install from gingerbread jvq I've looked at the instructions but didn't understand how to do it and is every thing working on the phone with cyanogenmod
Everything is included but the CyanogenMod for I9000 is still an unstable version. FM radio oes not work and there is a feww bug here and there.
To install it, you need to revert back to a Froyo firmware which include a bootloader because the Gingerbread bootloader is not compatible entirely with CyanogenMod. Then, you root your phone, install ClockWorkMod or any kernel that has it, download the ROM, put it in the SD Card, restart the phone in recovery, then install zip from SD Card, choose the Rom Zip file and everything should install correctly.
Here is a link to the whole process LINK
Don't forget to backup your apps, and other relevant information and more important, make a backup of your EFS folder in case your IMEI is screwed up during the upgrade.
You will need to flash back to a ROM with Froyo Bootloaders first, but the installation is now very, very easy....use my guide at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101534
As for the advantages, CM7 is the fastest and smoothest ROM available, with a high level of customization, some exceptional features like the Theme Chooser, and a very active development and user community.
The disadvantages are that the battery life usually tops out at about a day and a half between charges max, and certain hardware features don't work as well as they should, due to the fact Samsung won't release their sources. These include the 780p video camera (lower resolution films fine), FM Radio and TV Out.
IN the end, the only way to really know if CM7 is for you is to try it out and see. Some users ultimately say they prefer the Samsung ROMS while others, like myself, are addicted to the high performance and tweaks of CM7 (as well as the community).
Come by the CM7 thread in the Dev forum, read back a few pages to see what is going on and join the discussions.
Having CM7 on SGS is like owning a Ford GT40. Beatiful and powerful beast, but if you actually dare to use it, it'll probably break down or you run out of juice in the middle of nowhere.

Thats a great way of putting it
Made me laugh, There is an ounce of truth in there !!
Still a good ROM tho, a mega improvement over stock samsung roms at least.
Battery life for me is pretty much the same as stock, the performance is unrivalled and it has more functionality. For me it also more stable than 2.3.4 ROMs which have all kinds of dodgy bugs and random lags.
The battery life has been improved a lot in CyanogenMod, but it is still a bit high when using packet data.

It is as stable, or more stable, than any other ROM for this phone...
I dont find significant speed difference for Samsung JVQ, but it is more configurable, very usefull bits too, and it has the nicest theme, Honeycream, for someone that doesnt like green or blue themes...
The dialer and the camera apps are garbagge compared with samsung' s, but you can use the market like I did, got RocketDial and Camera360...
And you get a new version almost every night, good if you have nothing better to do then flashing the phone , plus they fix small errors and implement new features, Samsung is not doing that for the SGS any more...
EDIT battery is not a problem anymore...

A suggest about ROM but...

Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum. Actually I use a RCMIX 3D (sense 3.5) ROM which is quite satisfactory in terms of battery consumption.
However, considering the fact that I do not go behind the latest developments in graphics, velocity etc, I looking for a new ROM that, of all, offers exceptional durability of the battery during daily use (data, internet, push email, sync a few). I do not know about what really orient me ... I accept all the advice possible, regardless of whether it is "sense" or not. Thanks
i personally Think the rcmix sense 3.5 rom is one of the best out there right now..if you are not satisfied try android revolution, thats sense 3.0 though

Is better for battery consumption?
I've read about HydrOG3n...
my dhd lasted about 2.5 Days on last charge, and that is pretty Amazing in my mind (with rcmix runny rom) but android revolution is a Little bit better on that Point i think..no superultrabig difference, but you should get a coupple of hours extra i think.
btw: i am coming from revolution to rcmix and the thing that made me stay on this one is the sense 3.5 (ofcourse) and the awesome rcmix setting menu that lets you change pretty much whatever you like, a bit like wannabe cyanogenmod =) really cool i think
imo, LM kernel roms (CM7 and miui based ones such as hydrogen) have excellent battery life. Stock CM7 also has OK battery life.
Radios should also affect the battery life

How long does your battery with the full use of your rom?
cubases. Here are some screenshots of a few ROMs to help you see some visual differences.
And here is the up-to-date list of Desire HD ROMs here at XDA. That way you can click on each one to visit the thread and see any specs or info for yourself.
Personally - I use MIUI Freshly Squeezed at the moment as I really love the complete UI change. (Having said that I don't like the latest theme so much with the latest release but I change it back to the original or different theme at the touch of a button.) MIUI feels like a completely different device. That said - I try many ROMs and enjoy most of them unless I'm put off by the visuals/colors etc.

I think you go to wrong direction. I don't think there's a significant difference between the ROMs according to power consumption. Now I am not with CoreDroid 8.1 . I think it's with 2.3.4 kernel (don't think, that if was with 2.3.5 it will be 100% better) .
With full use every ROM will give you max 1 day. With a moderate use - 2 days with no problems with CoreDroid/RCMix/ARHD roms. The main consumption is from the lcd (ROM independant).
Some advices - switch off every antenna you don't use - BT/Wi-Fi/mobile network/3G . Especially switch off mobile network and set everything to manual update. 3G network also consumes a lot of energy. For calls 2G is fair enough.
Well if you need network access any time a day and automatic update - nothing you can do. You will charge the phone every day.
And other advice - charge the phone with USB cable (on a PC) at any time. Don't wait the battery to fall. Just watch to keep the memory in 20-80% (bellow 20 and above 80 it will use more battery recharge cycles).

Best android vers.

Please people, tell me, what is the best android ROM for HTC HD2 ?
ICS 4.0.4 don't work very well(camera don't work, people can't call me, etc)
Maybe there is some older vers. what's working well ?
Thanks.
Older Gingerbread builds are stable and almost in 100% perfection. Choose your ROM from several devs, I am using Typhoon and it's quite nice for everyday use.
Gingerbread for sure ..i used hyperdroid stable n fast

? You literally install an app and you have Link2SD, it's hardly much effort. And the UI of ICS is infinitely superior to GB, the HWA makes a tonne of difference in scrolling and gaming and especially the browser performance, and on ICS things load faster. There's no feasible reason one should use GB over ICS now other than simply not wanting to bother because they already have GB installed.
ICS custom roms are improving day by day. I have tytung ICS rom now
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434860
and it works very good for me. I have no issues with camera or phone calls.
Only 160 dpi seems to be problem, while creating shortcuts to contacts... i just can't see call button when touched them. But if you are using 240dpi it works almost flawlessly now.
But if you won't like to install ICS rom, you should try previously mentionted Hyperdroid, my adventure with Android on Leo started with this rom and had it for a long time.

I'm using Paranoidandroids ROM and it's the best one I've ever used.

Installed yesterday and work great from now. Very smooth
Right now, IN MY OPINION, based on my experience, you're best options for HD2 are Tytung's ICS Rom if you want an ICS based Rom, its smooth and everything works, Paranoid Android is good also and has allot more Mods but more buggy. Gingerbread based Roms are all pretty much perfect by now. I recommend UrDroid for Sense 3.5, Pure Cynogen for CM7 Based Rom, and MYMIUI for MIUI based Rom. I have personally had the best experience with these Roms, but there are others that are excellent roms as well, I dont mean to take anything away from them, i respect the works of all the chefs that make the HD2 Great.
Happy Flashing!
Would agree with above on ICS.
GB even with all the tweaks in the world is a UI horror in use & viewing, when look at level of development gone into it through official & unofficial channels I would of expected a hell of a lot more no hassle innovative features ...
I saw 200~ hours uptime with my vanilla miui 2.4.20. Did not have any problems. Using till 20/4/12.

DHD & JellyB & Fantastic Rom

Hello There
I am a new Owner of DHD - Just couple of days ago I received my new handset - after selling Apples iPhone 4 32GB.
I brought it from eBay at half the price that I got from selling iPhone(almost 2 years old).
Now to the point:
After rooting DHD and trying different roms base don Android 2.3.x and ICS And JB - Finally I set My eye and Phone of course on this amazing ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202.
It's super Fast - everything works - and much better and stable that any other rom I've tried and Beleive I have.
For last 4 days I installed almost 8 of them and this " JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R14" by far most stable and fast version of them all.
It of course has its little quirks but nothing that affects functionality.
Recommending it wholeheartedly
Enjoy Guys
What is the status of the video camera in JellyTime? Can it record in full HD yet?
720p, but that works great

This ROM (one of the Releases between R7-14) PWND my 3G and Network Connectivity and now any ASOP ROM does not allow OTA network connection... I'm trying to load it with one of the sense radio's I hope I don't brick my phone doing so, cause I love these ROMS (sense is soooooo lame) and I really hope I'm trying to do something that can be done...

DHD never will record full HD, because it needs dual core CPU and DHD has only single core...
This is not true
Sorry but this rom is not working correctly on DHD
For example wifi hotspot isn't working

everything work fine for me
Working 100%
For me 2. Excellent JB ROM and Sabsa Prime 6.5 ICS is a very good ROM too. But the only problem is the RAM Memory management.

Can you please tell me the component versions (ex kernel version, ecc).
I cannot understand why it's not working good on my dhd.
Thanks in advance
since i rooted my DHD i became some kind ROMs maniac been trying all the linux distros on my laptop now doing the same with my DHD thats because I love testing operating systems and software this have always been my passion so far...
now about the phone and JellyTime tring JT r16 on it already using for two days not single problem has happened to me... always doing full format including SD card before installing a new ROM tho.
what can I say in general about JT looks fast and stable so is for example SabsaPrime (sabsa has for sure best battery life i ever seen) the ram usage seems to be the same as Sabsa ICS as far a I prefer sense roms gonna go back to sabsa. anyway both are great roms :good:
sorry for my language
I was running jt for a while. Loved it fast stable. Then I found sabsa prime. I average about 11-12 hrs battery under moderate to heavy useage.

I have been running Jellytime for a while its a great rom but the latest versions have had a few hiccups but the dev RandonBlame is working to fix the issues I would recommend it.
I don't understand why people still run older android versions like Gingerbread or ICS when we now have Jelly Time instead. Why bother with old versions? Can anyone explain?
i will stick around with sanwitch a little more, and in a couple of months when good ROMS with Jellybeam will be released :fingers-crossed: i will try them then
Had to retreat to Ice Cold...
I have been using JellyTime since R3 and love it
But I started getting the blackscreen problem from R15 onwards .
I tried R16, R17 & R17.1 all with clean installs and still got the issue.
Unfortunately as the DHD is my daily driver and I am traveling over the next few weeks, I need the stability of and battery life of Ice Cold Sandwich. Which is a real shame as I hate going backward.
As a newbie, I can't post to the dev forum, but I shall return to JellyTime in the near future, I want to see how good the DHD is on JB 4.1.2.
Use sabsa prime or trickdroid stable Roms with great battery life.

JellyTime R17.1 is very buggy but the Best ROM
Stability, speed, battery life.
On Jellytime I last 2 hours of screen usage. With cm7 I've lasted for 12hrs on flights listening to music, reading ebooks, with airplane mode+wifi.
I happen to like the look of stock gb as well.

Simply because ICS and JB room were not build to run with DHD, so you can have some bugs like Camera, MMS, Batterylife etc...
Mostly all the bugs have been worked out on r18.1 of jellytime
