I hope there isn't already a topic on this.
I bought the Nexus 7 from ebuyer and can't use the UK charger in Germany. What charger could i buy to charge it as fast as with the original? My HTC Wildfire charger isn't doing anything and the one from my Xperia Play is just charging very slow.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: What 'specs' should the carger have/for what could i search on Amazon? If that makes sense.
Just buy an adapter. I don't know the electrical specs in Germany but the adapter is able to carry 100V-250V or something like that.
If you want a separate one, it needs at least an output of 5V and 2 Amps.

Hey guys, I have a UK Xoom and the backend of next week I am off to New York for a wedding for a week. I want to take my Xoom with me however I am unsure if I can charge it with my UK power adapter. It's obviously rated for 220-240v will the lesser voltage of the US power supply still charge though my current adapter or will it not work altogether? I have no idea how I am going to charge it if I can't use my UK adapter. :-S

Can't speak for a UK xoom. I got, one from the US and use it in australia.
My charger states 100-240v and I can use mine here or in the US....in fact in many countries, I just need a plug adaptor, not a voltage convertor.
not a problem. just get an adapter.

you can check your local hardware store, or even best buy, etc.

You are quite right, I just asumed it wouldn't work in the US as it was a UK adapter but they do indeed seem to be generic adapters! Mine also states 100-240v, thanks Sickboy.
Hi Guys!
I am pretty new on this forum, although i have been on xda years ago when i used windows mobile. Now i am proudly owner of a Nexus 7 16gb. I got this pre-ordered on the day Google announced it, and got my sister to bring it to me in the Netherlands. I own a C60, with pretty much no flaws except a very tiny screen lift which doesnt bother me.
Well, I started this topic because of the following:
Since I got the US version, it also came with the US wall charger wich doesnt work in the Netherlands.
Therefore i recently ordered a original EU wall charger to charge my Nexus 7. Charging with my laptop takes forever, wich seems to be a common problem with this nexus. Also other wall chargers don't work (dont show charge, or trickle charge. anyways, it takes forever).
Now i got this US > EU converter thing, so i can also use the US wall charger that came with my Nexus.
Since im now i cant post a picture of this converter, but its the first thing that shows up when u google: us eu converter
Only thing i am concerned about is the voltage. I got this simple converter wich only converts the plug type.
I have been told since im going from US (110v) to EU (220v), there shouldnt be any problems charging it using this converter.
But just to be sure, i would like to hear your opinions Is the original US wall charger compatible with 220v?
Thanks a lot!
You will be alright using the adapter. A friend of mine bought the nexus in the US and he uses one of those adapters to convert it to a EU adapter. The flat adapters will work in all of EU the round adapters will sometimes not fit in South European countries like Spain

Alright thanks!
So it will not be risky to charge with? I know it will charge with the converter, but is it safe for my Nexus?
Im asking this because i have already ordered a original EU Asus wall charger, it is not like i need it desperately to work.
But if i can use both EU and US charger with converter, it would be very convenient for when im not at home.

No risk at all. The charger will use the amount of power the nexus 7 needs to safely charge itself.

all you need is something like this

Given the price difference, if I buy an N4 while over in the US on business, will it work in the UK on our 3G networks? Are there any technical differences between the two phones (other than the plug for recharging from the wall socket of course!).

No, they are the same, N4 only has one variant. US version is the same as WW version.

OK, great. Would it make a difference to the returns policy if there was a problem with it. Could I return it from the UK to whoever handles it in the UK or is it not a worldwide warranty?
And, is the charger like an HTC one where the plug has a USB socket for the cable meaning I could use my current charger?

It uses the standard micro USB cable but the ac adapter uses a different output voltages. Nonetheless' it will still work.
I think if you will have to sent it back to U.S instead of the UK. I also think you have to return it to wherever you purchased your device.

Hi friends i lost my charger and i dont have any service centers of huawei in our city.
if anyone knows it in online buying. tell me the link
thankyou
Did you search on ebay? You can find any charger you want... Just check your AC input Eur or UK.
lost
ebay or amazon
as long as it is a 5 volt 1ampere adapter, it'll work. Any will work, as long as it meets the spesification (don't overvolt)
The higher the ampere, the faster it will charge.
Thanks for the helpful info

Hey guys!
I can't find the charger for my LG G2 D802! I must have misplaced it but I can't find it anywhere.
Since I won't compromise with the quality of the accessories I use for my phone, I want something that's either the original charger or as good as the original charger. In Denmark we don't have the option to buy cable + wall charger from LG directly.
If you post an EBay link - the seller must be located in Europe. Please help me, I'm generous with the thanks button =)
I use my iPad 2 usb charger and it works great. It's a 2A charger so I can charge the phone fast as well.

Maybe just maybe, he meant that you could buy an iPad charger? For sure there are Apple stores in Denmark....
Anyway almost any of the big brands tablet chargers could deliver?
Don't you have something like, try for a week from an eshop? Not good bring it back?

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that opportunity. We actually don't have specific apple stores in Denmark. Besides - if I'm going to purchase something "original" - I might aswell find an original charger Thanks for your great input bro!

Thanks for the link. The ampere and voltage should match the original 100%. Unfortunately, though, it seems like it's sold out :/
I also need the cable. The cable has to be high quality cos flashing stuff/10
Lol i got a quote of 72 USD for an original charger... Denmark.....
I use these guy's products. High quality and very reliable. Good delivery time as well. Only took 5 days to ship from UK to New Zealand.

I bought this cable http://www.dx.com/p/micro-usb-male-to-male-data-flat-cable-blue-150cm-159895#.U47NFzdI3Ns
because its long and seems good and cheap.
Anyway downside of dx.com (not th eEU part) is that you have to wait sometimes a month for the product to get to you.... (luckily after 20 days you can ask them to re-imburse you)
If looking for a charger on this page, or cable or anything... ALWAYS see the one with the most reviews and best rating.
