At least the DX overtook the DInc. I really find the Inc and Evo to be overrated- the Fascinate and Epic are much better phones IMO. Oh well, at least the Captivate will win.

I voted for the Dinc. I own both. The GPS is the main reason but I also don't like the wake/power button placement on the Fascinate.

It looks to me like the Incredible and Fascinate tied for 2nd place Verizon, but the Incredible was taken to the next round instead of the Fascinate? Oh well, better than I expected the Fascinate to do.

What the heck? Inc and Fascinate were tied. And yet, they gave it to the Inc. I smell bias...

This Phone Won't Die

I am returning to the Incredible after dabbling with a Fascinate for a while. It just seems this thing will never die out. Developments has actually boomed since I was last here and that is great.

The original Incredible, the N1, and the Evo in my mind are the three pure Android phones that have cult status IMO.

Just got mine a couple weeks ago so hopefully it won't die out anytime soon!

I test drove the fanny too, and have to say it. The dinc crushes that phone. The dinc is like a Midwestern farmgirl, and the Fanny is like a Russian model. The dinc isn't quite as pretty, but when you need some heavy labor done, she goes like crazy until the task is done. While the Russian model looks at you with that pretty screen, and has no idea what you just asked her. ; )

Quite the comparison, haha.

i'm definitely not bored with it yet!! the only thing i think would improve it is 4G. other than that, i'll ride it to the end..

I have the Inc now (upgraded from the droid back in late March) and its a nice phone, but I definitely wish I had something more current (which I will come November). From a hardware standpoint its a nice phone with moderate hardware but from a modding standpoint it's not the top of the list since its still locked (and can be bricked, like my original one which I had for a week) and the hardware is showing its age when it comes to new software like Sense 3.

I believe you forgot the one that started it all: The Moto Droid.

What do you mean its locked? The inc1? Its easy as hell to root/s-off.
Hardware may be showing some age but the dev support is pretty good still.
And I'd second that about the OG Droid.

JoelZ has a Sense 3.0 ROM that runs beautifully on my dinc. No lagging, lots of free memory, its a solid daily.

The Dinc was and is my first android phone, got it when it came out last April.
Whenever I do move on, if its in December when I'm up for a new one, or later, its gonna be tough to move on. I've definitely been spoiled with the solidity of the phone and the ferocity of the dev community for it.

Im gettin a second for my gf. Anyone thay doesnt want thier dinc, im makin a stockpile to make mine last forever.

I'm contemplating moving to the Tbolt or Inc2 but lack of Dual Core and CM7 is definitely stopping me. CM7 is keeping me nice and cozy with the Inc.

Im contemplating getting the Droid 3 but man oh man is it hard. $450 for it? Idk. The incredible has served me very well, and it still has a ton of life in it. All I need to do is give it some body work... like a new chassis. I abused this thing way too much haha.

Hahaha well the Droid x 2 is only 450... just a guess ha. But I've been reading and looking at the Sensation... oh so tempting. The Droid 3 just isn't as pretty and polished... but it has a keyboard... and Motorola is unlocking handsets now. I hate decisions.

Ditched my Atrix when the Infuse came out, and I couldn't be happier. In my opinion, the infuse is a far better phone. However, my decision had nothing to do with the locked bootloader on the Atrix. Just my own preferences. I haven't even flashed the Infuse yet. Other than root, it's stock. But it is nice to see you guys finally getting some moto-luv. The co-worker that has my Atrix will love this.

Isn't the infuse exactly the same? And doesn't it have a locked bootloader as well?

Infuse is single core I believe and has a 4.5inch screen.

I'll admit it. I got impatient with the Atrix and switched to iPhone 4 within my 30 day return policy.
Mostly the reason I switched is because of Motoblur. First Motorola Android phone purchased. Yeah, I used Launcher Pro but it didn't "smooth" enough.
Now I'm regretting the switch since I saw the video on how to unlock the bootloader. I liked using differents ROMs. I change like I change socks. Once a week.

It's been a fun 2 years...

...but it's time for another adventure! I've used my upgrade and purchased a Samsung Galaxy S III.
What can I say, this phone is a BEAST! I didn't think I would like TouchWiz but I do now. Going to miss the Sense UI (port maybe, hmmm)
I've already rooted the phone and it was hella easy! Haven't tried any ROMs yet (being picky) but I will soon enough. I got CWM and I'm missing drob's "superwipe" I gotta get him to show me how I could implement it to the SG3.
I'll still be coming around here and check out the development plus you guys are the best, hands down. Cool people and easy going. I could already feel the tensions and egos at the SG3 forums and I've only posted once so far...
Maybe I'll see some of you sooner than later at the other forum. Hit me up then...

Speaking of the hero I just found my hero's otter box case no hero in it though...
And yeah Samsung has really stepped it up a bit, and if I can save my pennies the SIII will be my next phone

They have the EVO 4G LTE at BestBuy for $99 with a new contract. But I called Sprint out of curiosity. They said they would match that, plus waive activation if I did it through their site. With Free Two Day Shipping. Just throwing it out there .

GN2 is Quad core. Evo LTE is not. Droid DNA is quad core but Verizon.
Don't know how I feel about HTC anymore. GN2 was really nice to play with at the store.

I am leaning toward the GN2 as well or even the GS3, but the quad core is the bigest selling point.

The EVO 4G LTE has had some major issues locking onto and maintaining LTE signals. Sprint and HTC are being lazy about fixing it properly. The Galaxy S3 is better.

Probably an HTC issue, but we aren't 100% sure. And quite a few people have exchanged their EVO LTE's out for GS III's as a result.

This is so true bec. I hear it all the time from my wife (who owns a Evo lte) on how her signal goes from 4g-3g-1x constantly. Also she is having problems connecting to Wi-Fi.

It's a shame, because the EVO LTE is a nice phone. Played with a couple in a few different Sprint stores.

Definitely not obsolete yet, but some of the new phones just blow it out of the water... The Shift can run JB which is the newest version of Android so nobody can say its obsolete til it can't handle the latest version of Android, lack of dev support is a little different story... But there still are a few of us trying to keep you guys supplied with new ROMs. When my contract is up in June I am getting a QuadCore with LTE even if I have to go with Verizon. I have had my eye on the Optimus G. Quad Core and a 13MP camera? Yes please. The Droid DNA's specs are amazing too. I don't see HTC coming out with something to match either one in the next 6 months but I'm definitely not going with Samsuck. If there is nothing from HTC worth getting its gonna be LG or Motorola. Ok rant done.

Don't know if you've notice all the Roms that are coming out on a weekly basis for the shift, pretty obvious this phone is still going strong.
I may have moved on to a new phone but my shift is still in use for other purposes.
