How to get apps to sd on stock rom?

This should be in the Q&A forum not the original development; you might get an answer if you post in the correct location.

Q&A... Obviously not on stock ROMs around here... And that apps only real use was for 2.1. Get with the times buddy. We have internal memory now.

please follow XDA rules bu posting in the appropriate section. which would be Q & A. reporting to a moderator for removal.

Please delete this mods. Sorry for wrong section post. I know we have internal memory. But i have a gps app called copilot and wanted the maps save to the sd card not internal memory.

[Q] data.img (which to use?)

Does it matter if I use 512 or 1gb? I am using TMOUS HD2, so does it matter which data.img I use?
No it doesn't matter, just depends on if you want a full gig to store apps and data or not. Some people use 512mb to save room on there SD card.
P.S. Just a heads up, questions should go in the Q&A section.
Oh ok thanks.

Internal Storage

Hi, I recently rooted my SGS3 and put AOKP rom on it. However, I noticed that after I backup with Clockwork Mod once, the memory usage on the internal SD decreased by 2gb, which is reasonable with a backup. However, I made another backup prior to putting AOKP on my phone, and now there's only 4GB free on my phone, and I barely have any apps, no songs or any files on my phone. Does anyone know what could be contributing to that, or how I could free up some memory? Thanks! I'm pretty sure that memory is being used by clockwork mod.
Always advisable to backup to external sd, that will free up some space and keep your backup safe as well
Read the sticky threads in general. In "sticky roll-up" is a thread I wrote about flashing 4.2 and losing sdcard data.
This is the general section btw. Please ask questions in the q&a section
