I just got this update and installed it. The only change that I see so far is in the About tablet screen they added in the "FCC ID" and "IC". Android version still reads 4.1.1.

Just got this too

It probably won't even install.

So who has the file name or url from google?

I got the prompt too. After I agreed to it, phone rebooted into recovery and said failed to continue or something. Now when I check, there is no more update.

I assume you are running a "custom" recovery (clockwork)? This is why it failed. Only way to install will be to flash back to stock recovery as someone above mentioned. Probably not even worth the trouble.

Yep. I think I will restore the stock recovery since I won't be doing any kernel/rom flashing for a while. Stock rom is very stable.

I received this update on both of my N7's and I can't tell what it changed other than the about screen.

View my post on the first page for the pic of the new about.
If you want to force the update you can go into settings apps all and force stop "Google Services Framework" then clear the data on it. Exit settings then go back in and system update and its there

They seem to have added an FCC ID field and an IC field. Screenshot attached.

Anyone mind letting me know how to flash back to stock recovery? Is there a stock recovery img that I just flash in CMW? I'd like to retain root but still be able to perform future updates.

I'm flashing it now, but I haven't seen any changelog or anything for it... Will this also be the final CM7 release? Also, normally when flashing a new CM7 nightly you didn't have to reset data at all, why do we have to now?

Me too. Let me know though.
I got this earlier and it failed on install. Like has been said at 26.2MB I seriously doubt it's ICS.
Tab restarted and it showed the android icon. A status bar went like a quarter of the way until it showed the android with an exclamation point and froze. I freaked out and held power to shut it down. It booted to cwm and I restarted.
Not sure if it even completed the update at all.

Damn. I just got that message too and said "go" because I have root with backup (ota rootkeeper) and CWM so I thought let's see but all it did was reboot *into CWM!!* and gave me some error, checksum mismatch or whatever. Rebooted and all is still untouched "old" version.
Now system/about says no update available. How can I manually install this? I think it's a new modem and hope it is and that it will finally fix the horrid 4G reception issues. My Droid Razr gets SOOO much better signal in the same area.
Does anyone by chance have a clean, fresh stock install plus this update and can pull me a CWM nandroid backup ?

"Biggest" change appears to be IPv6 support. I care (I'm all IPv6-native at home), most probably won't.

Will I lose root?
Has anyone tested whether we will lose root by upgrading? And if so does the root.zip work to get it back?
Given what's at stake (IPv6 functionality), I don't think I care whether I do it or not, I just want it to stop asking me.

Yes I lost root but re-rooted with .zip just fine
I applied this OTA last night. Since then, I'm seeing much poorer data speeds: Previously had pretty solid LTE speeds, now I'm lucky to exceed 500-1000kbps down.
Does anyone know if the previous i815 ROM / previous radio file is available online to flash via desktop Odin? (I've searched but didn't find anything but a nandroid file -- I'm not rooted, so don't have CWM.)

New Update for Indian ICS Users available LPA.

Yes! an Update is available but i dont know what this update is about. Its about 7.85 MB and i am getting it via OTA. Will post screens after installation.
It says stability improvement.

If you have updated via OTA and did not get the latest firmware (LPA, Kernel Dated June 12th), then download the firmware from here and flash it over LP8. You wont lose data and no wipe required.

Added it to the OP.
One think i noticed is that, initially when i used the eMMC check app from market it took 360Sec and then said no problem. But now it was able to give the result in 3 Sec
Seems no change in kernel, just minor update in PDA (as OP stated it is just 7.85MB)
Its just a new build with same kernel and modem.
The build number is IML74K.DDLPA

Could be two reason.
1. You may be using a different CSC other than "INU"
2. In the Software Update section, "WiFi only" is checked and you are using Mobile Data connected.
I had "WiFi only" unchecked and it popped up

For starters, the OTA applies to a released ICS firmware - which is very significant when you consider that the "official" OTA release will have to apply to existing ICS devices.

Why risk it?
Here's how I'd handle it (if I wanted to preserve anything)
Flash CWM recovery and do a backup with that.
Do a full backup with titanium backup of all system apps, user apps, and data.
Full wipe
ODIN back to LG8 (including the factory recovery)
Full wipe again (just to be paranoid)
copy the OTA to the device and install it with the factory recovery
Full wipe again (I really am paranoid)
Do a basic set up with the new OTA to make sure all the major things work...
Root the install
Then, start restoring things with titanium backup...
---
If something goes wrong, you can always re-install the CWM recovery and restore your backup from there.
Tried the latest LH7 leak. Here are my opinion.
Just hate the new settings menu.
They totally 're-did the my files app. It totally sucks now.. kinda feels like your using Samsung's BadaOS.
No FC's, totally fast.
Camera is a little unstable. After you take a photo it'll show a black screen sometimes.
No graphical glitches so far.
S-voice is back.
S-NOTE removed and S-memo added again.
Overall feels a little louder (not as loud as the LH4).

i guess i have the same problem as you. It is downloading, at least it says so in the system update menu, but i can't see progress. But i figured that might be caused because i rooted after the kitkat ota.
So is it possible to download the ota if someone posts it here and flash it via cwm without losing root?

Mine is 100% stock... i started the update, but i can´t see the download progress.
Everytime i go to System Updates i get "An update is currently being downloaded. ... ".
I guess it's stuck! WTF?

I have done a factory reset. I have the 174.44.9 version.... i go to the System Updates and now it tells that is up to date! LOL
May they canceled the OTA?
I can translate for you:
"Here are some Highlights of this update:
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the newest Android version.
- New Phone Application
- Hangouts now support SMS/MMS
The detailed list of changes you will find in the "version hints"(not sure). "

Has anyone installed sucessfully this OTA, or is everybody being stuck...?

i guess i have the same problem as you. It is downloading, at least it says so in the system update menu, but i can't see progress. But i figured that might be caused because i rooted after the kitkat ota.
So is it possible to download the ota if someone posts it here and flash it via cwm without losing root?

The changelog is just the standard kitkat changelog. It is not a real changelog for this bug fix release.
I rebooted my mobile and I get google play update for gallery and motorola assist. In options still have old system version and in system updates still saying it is being downloaded.
Reboot doesn't fix it. Only hard reset!
