How do I recover a notification that appeared in my "notification tray" - Acer Iconia A500

I received a notice in my notification tray that someone has responded to a post I had in an XDA forum). I clicked on it and the load page froze.
Is there any way to recover that "notice" so I can get more info to search on? Are they kept in a cache file somewhere.
Or is there a search filter that gives replies to my posts?
Thanks

That happens to me too. I have the XDA HD app, and if I get a notification and try to open it it just stays loading and never loads anything.

lock screen privacy

ok why does it show my text messages when my screen is locked?
That is annoying.
Is there a way to disable that?
Nevermind, i did an xda search to no avail, before i posted.. but later googled it for an answer after i posted. *slaps forehead*

[Q] Messaging > New Message

I truly love my S4 but this is driving me insane.
When receiving a message instead of telling me who it's from and an idea of what the message is... I get this:
Edit: Apparently I can't post an image of the issue until after 10 posts. In any case, my notification, both on the lock screen and on the notification bar, say Messaging, and underneath says New Message. Normally, or at least with my S3, it would show who the text message is from, and then a small preview of what the message says.
Has anyone else had this issue or know of a fix? I am trying to stay away from rooting my phone, for now. I am using Nova Launcher Prime but I don't see why this would effect anything. A reboot has done nothing so far.

Thanks. For some reason I didn't think to go into the settings of the actual messaging screen. I was able to put a check mark beside "Preview Message" and that has solved my issue. Thanks Again!
Why isn't it on ny default?

I guess Samsung left it off to keep the privacy of unexperienced users on Android that have no idea how to change settings by themselves.

I'm almost definitely sure mine was on by default as I turned it off. It showed the message on the lock screen too.

Facebook app "core" porblem, never seen this before

Screenshot of Error screen
I've never had this problem before, This warning screen popped up randomly while I was using a different app and whenever I try and use a different app the phone after a few seconds opens back up the warning screen. The notification for this screen is a persistent one so I cannot get rid of it from the notification shade. Anybody know how to fix this / what to do?
go to the phones main settings, apps, facebook, now clear the data. reboot, then sign into face. check if that solves the issue.

Problems with system dialogs/pop-ups

Haven't come across a solution to this problem yet on xda. Any insight would be appreciated!
I have been having weird problems with the little prompt that pops up during some events: "installation complete" "Saved image" "remaining storage" "pc001:disconnected" this kind of thing. Often times when I disconnect from a big network, I get a lot of prompts popping up that say "blahPC:disconnected". Is does it for every device that is connected to the network I disconnected from. Weird?
Also, everytime I download something or install an app a prompt pops up and my keyboard automatically closes.
Currently there is a "saved image" prompt that has been on my screen for 10 minutes now. See photo.
The question: is there any way to disable the little black pop-up box? Maybe through a developer option or the lghome hidden menu? Any tips at all would be great. If this has already been solved in a different post that you know of please point me there. I haven't found anything on this problem before. Haha I also don't know the technical term for the black pop-up box so that could be why.
Thanks guys

[Q] What is this Icon and how do I stop the spam

I'm getting daily spam messages.
Please see the icon in the upper tray to the left.
The Header says:
'New Incoming Message'
I'm not using the Samsung messaging app as default.
I'm not seeing this message in Go SMS or the Samsung messaging app.
When I pull down the drop down, I see the message from a web address, and when I press it, it takes me to the website.
What is that icon to the left and what app is this, and how do I block these morons from sending me their spam?
looks like the O for opera.. Is that installed?
Hi. Yes, I am using Opera as my browser.
It could be that.. id uninstall and see if that stops it..

I think it's related to Samsung somehow, as the symbol is within a grey circle in the drop down screen, similar to other Samsung apps.
Edit:
See attached photo........
Edit #2:
If it does have anything to do with Opera, I just went into Settings/Notifications and changed the setting to 'Denied.'
Ultimately, I'd like to block the morons, if possible.
Pull down the notification shade, long press on that notification, and that should end this mystery.

Thanks for that. I haven't received anymore spam since denying notifications, but if I do, I'll be sure to hard press it.
