You might want to give the bumps a rest for now. When there is a good working solution I guarantee you will hear about it in this forum!

Does anyone regret buying a Nexus 7 since it doesn't have a back facing camera?

no, its the opposite: because there isn't a rear facing camera, the cost is reduced, therefore we save money on something useless.

Everyone knew it didn't have one when they bought it. And most people have a phone to take pics with

I wouldn't mind a rear facing camera for Skype. Like if I have to show someone something I could switch cams like I can on a phone or a tablet with rear cam. Like say I'm chatting with the wife and the baby is doing something cute. Its a lot easier than trying to aim the front camera. I wouldn't use it for pictures though...

Absolutely not, front camera is good for Skype, and you don't rally need back camera on a tablet

I'm sure if you find a way to port all the touchwhiz framework then it could be done. I know things similar to that have been done, for example I remember about a year and a half ago the sony xperia framework was ported to aosp, installable as a flashable zip. This enabled absolutely every proprietary xperia app/feature, like the xperia exclusive games, bravia engine, etc. on any phone running aosp-based firmware
Hmm....i think that would not be possible. Because N4 doesn't have that sensor.
But maybe i am wrong....

The S4 uses the front facing camera to detect eyes from my understanding. So it may be possible with the newest touchwiz framework.

i don't think it'll be so useful.. even my friend don't use it in his s4..

I doubt they're of the same quality sensor.

It's a cool feature but I see it useless in some cases .. But maybe there is something who can make your dream come true
Best of luck

Yes you can. Move your hand on the nexus 4 as you move your eyes. >_<. Anyway it's not possible atm.

Browsing the S4 forum... For some reason. Came along this, MIUI put a vote up for which device gets MIUI first.
I normally don't use it, but we can't let the S4 people beat us, can we?

I upgraded to the latest version of Google+ and couldn't figure out how to use the "shake to snow" feature. I uploaded pictures with and without snow clicked on them, opened them from the "photos" app and from the Google+ stream and still, shaking the device doesn't do anything. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Yes there is. It's not in Google+. It's in Googles "photos" app.

Okay, I opened the "photos" app, chose an image, shook the device, nothing happened. I clicked the brush icon to edit the image, shook the device, still nothing happened. What do I need to do?
Update Google+, also stop complaining. It's not a big deal.

Yeah, I'm not complaining, don't know why you saw it that way.
And the Google+ app is updated, version 4.2.4.5[...].

You misunderstand..... We're trying to activate a feature that isn't working for us, not complaining about it.

Fine, then don't reply, obviously you don't have anything useful to say, others can help without being rude.
@chrisrozon I just downloaded the apk from Android police, installed it (after I uninstalled the Google+ app I already have) and now it works for me. How strange... maybe Android police took the apk from the Nexus 5 and that's why it works for me now.
Funny,as soon I posted the update came through. . It works now!
