first step would be using the search function on these forums...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28734102&postcount=5 download the apk here...
then just use any browser other than chrome.
alternatively, if you're using youtube website, just go to www.youtube.com/html5 and enable html5. that will allow your device to use html5 for any webpages that use embedded youtube videos.

Thank you very much guy. I don't know why didn't think about a different browser. Again thank you

I am running FireFox (google Mozilla APK) and Flash APK and using a FireFox addon called 'Full Screen'. It gets rid of the URL part so u can zoom in and get as close to 'full screen'; if u try to use the regular full screen, most of the time the browsers crash.
At first I thought 'Full Screen' sucked b/c of the ratings but its not as bad, actually its pretty good b/c it seems to work perfect for tablet (seems like phones its not so good since smaller screen). Just make sure u know that u have to turn it on thru the menu (no quick hotkey/gesture) and to turn it off to get back URL bar, u hold down on a page till popup comes on asking to turn it off or not. Overall its pretty good on the Nexus 7, only wish is to have a quick gesture/hotkey to turn it on.

Is this still working for you because I tried doing it and despite engaging full screen my Firefox crashes as soon as I enable the flash video by tapping it.

I just installed MX Player from the Store. Copy/Paste the url and it plays. Stupid that Adobe hasn't released a patched version yet.

[PARANOIDANDROID TABLET APPS] Apps with Different Tablet Mode UIs

I'm stepping out a bit here and starting a thread for apps with distinctly different Tablet Mode UIs for the Paranoid Android ROM. Bear with me, this is my first time doing anything like this, so please excuse any noob mistakes......I have to say that I'm not in any way affiliated with Team DIRT, the ROM, developers, etc, just starting this as a helpful guide for myself and (perhaps) others.
I'm hoping that people will be able to add to this with specifics on apps they use that have a different 'flavor' when in Tablet Mode, particular settings used to maximize functionality, etc. To that end, here's my initial list of what I've found:
1. Calendar- when in Tablet Mode, displays multiple calendars (e.g. Weekly, with Monthly in bottom left) and lets you pick which calendars are shown without having to go to Settings to do so. I've got it in Tablet Mode with a mid-to-low DPI.
2. Gmail- in Tablet Mode, has a column of mailboxes on the left, email headers on the right, and when you click an email it takes you to that one; you use the back button to go back one 'level'. I've got it in Tablet Mode with mid-DPI density.
3. Contacts- in Tablet Mode, has a column of people on the left, tapping one brings up their information on the right. Mid-DPI works for me, not too small; bigger settings make individual contacts unusable/unreadable in Tablet Mode.
4. Settings- very useful in Tablet Mode IMO. Column of Settings on the left, clicking on one brings up sub-settings on the right. Again, mid-DPI in Tablet Mode seems to be a nice medium, for me.
5. Google Play Music- Tablet Mode makes it a sort of permanent 'Album Cover' style, as if you were to turn your phone sideways in regular Phone Mode, but all the time.
6. Maps- has a different button layout in Tablet Mode.
This is just what I've found with the apps I have; I've seen other posts for other ROMs where they've found that Google Reader has a different look, for instance, but I haven't been able to recreate it. I hope you find this useful, and look forward to additions!

(BTW, hit 'Thanks' if this is useful to you!)
most apps get 2 columns (like tripit, google drive, etc)
The old youtube gets an awsome wall of movies! (im still using old one as its awsome)
the play store is different aswell
You are missing alot of the ones that come with the Rom
Apex
Browser
Calculator
Camera
Email
DSP Manager
Launcher2
Nova
SU
Talk
Trebuchet
All have a tablet mode and change the appearance. I will let you update your op with what each one does.
I have also used many tablet application now on my phone Which is nice as well
Tweetcaster pro has a tablet mode
Two columns, left is various options for tweets, right is tweets
I've attached a screenshot. Way better then phone UI

I didn't even notice the new one until now that you mentioned it, and I don't have the option to uninstall update, only to uninstall the app completely. Can you please post the old version so I can have the old wall of videos too? TIA!:
Been wondering about this myself...
I have a GNex and running PA...
Others I've found:
Netflix - phoneui is just a list. tabletui allows you to scroll through titles and is more like its ps3 or pc interface.
Camera as mentioned - is a forced landscape mode with different positioning for controls.
Browser - tabletui adds visible tabs. phoneui has less 'chrome'

[email protected] is far superior in Tablet Mode. 120dpi works perfectly. I recommend it...

[Q] flash with 4.2.2- tried everything q.q (no root s olution plax)

As the title said- i tried everything- all versions of flash .apk from adobe website, installing adobe air, and still nothing. When i want to watch video in flash from a website (i am watching a lot of anime), dolphin cant open.it (and i cant even turn using flash on with this browser- getting info that says "using flash in 4.0+ was disabled because of crashing dolphin blah blah blah"), opera is showing white field (white = background, like there is no video) and firefox-most intresting case- allows me to watch this videos until it.is not fullscreen mode. When i tap fullscreen button, i can see only a '!' In circle. Also, i cant play .mp4 videos from sites on fullscreen. I dont have any button to change size of video...
What is the best thing- movies from xhamster allows me to make it fullscreen. But inly from that site, and olny in firefox. On 4.0.2 stock galaxy tab 2 7.0 i was able to watch everything after just installing flash .apk, and i dont even know wich version
My classmate said something about app called 'actionscript', but as i see, this is programming language or something, and all apps i can find are references and guides throught that language...
I have brought my n7 a week ago, and since last saturday i cant make that damn thing to use flash propertly ._____. Is there any solution? As the title said- i dont want to root it. Just nope, i like original software, except t this damn flash...
rry if i said something wrong- english is not my native language, so.please, grammar nazis, calm.down :d
Try mxplayer, but you may need to be rooted for the flash to work.
BTW, thanks for flagging up that xhamster is a porn site.:banghead:

[Q] Which Internet Browser are you using?

Title says it all, I keep going back and forth, the only annoying part of using Chrome is that when you try to to scroll horizontally it is a little trigger happy to switch tabs/windows.

I use Chrome. I have the occasional tab switching problem you mention but it really doesn't happen often the way I use it. Being able to sync bookmarks, passwords, history, and opening tabs from other devices is invaluable to me.
Firefox Beta and Boat Browser
Chrome
I'm using Chrome.
Is there a way to get a "Forward" button on this thing?

Never used Chrome on a phone before.
I had the forward button on my Xoom tablet on the address bar.
I use dolphin find it the best overall. However some financial sites block transactions on Dolphin but work ok on Chrome. So for those I use Chrome.

Yea, On a TABLET. The ONLY way to obtain a forward button and tabs at the top like a tablet, You would need to wait for CM10 or something for Mutiapp DPI.
You wont be able to do that on STOCK rom..
Chrome and Dolphin here. The only thing I hate about Chrome is the lack of an exit button.

Boat browser is my favorite, better than dolphin IMO, chrome sucks on android.
The stock browser not supporting a permanent desktop-mode is enough to make me look for a replacement though, this is a HUGE letdown for me. Not only that, but the removal of flash content makes the stock browser almost useless to me other than the text preview function.
However, It seems the stock browser is the only one that supports text preview without opening a link (mostly useful for various forums) in addition to smart scroll.
Which would be the best browser that supports flash while not being laggy/bloated with features and also having a permanent desktop mode?
I've found the latest chrome update to be really slow. In comparison, the stock browser loads the same page/pages in double quick time. Am I the only one or is it a general problem across the board?

I also found Chrome to be too sluggish. The browsers with the highest ratings at least based on reviews were Dolphin & Boat. A lot of the reviews on Boat said it was very snappy, very fast and that imo is probably the biggest factor with Flash support and a permanent desktop mode right behind.
been using chrome, but slowly trying to convert myself to the default browser so i can actually use all the gestures that i paid to have on the damn phone
I personally love dolphin with the jetpack installed. Normal browsing, jetpack turned off. When watching flash, jetpack turned on. With that turned on, flash works like dream on this phone. Can watch full episodes of Colbert no problem =)
firefox
Chrome.
Works great.
So people using Chrome. ...does it have flash support?

Netflix multi Window

Anyone been able to get Netflix work in multi Window mode? The Netflix Window opens and plays vicious but when I select another Window it stops playing video... It's there a fix for this or is there nothing we can do
Sent from my GT-N8010 using xda app-developers app
Some apps could be modified to multiwindow, there is a thread somewhere with many multiwindow apps. Apparently the only thing needed is to add a small bit of code at the top of the programcode, there was some clear instructions in that thread.

I had the same problem as you.
What I did was:
1) Open Netflix, and the other app you wish to use.
2) Press "continue watching" at top left of netflix (This is when it auto full screens in the window.)
3) Quickly tap onto the other app you wish to use before Netflix finish goes full screen.
4) Netflix should start playing, and you can use your other app without it pausing.
Once you tap on Netflix again, it will pause again if you try to switch window. It is annoying, however its manageable for me. It is not like I need to press on Netflix window often.
The only alternative solution that works for me at least. Works like a charm watching How I Met Your Mother, while browsing the web, or playing psx emulator
Hope it helps!

That's the trick I use. Actually discovered it in a few minutes of being frustrated with Netflix pausing when the window was unfocused. It works good for my needs on a Tab Pro 8.4!
Hulu Plus though doesn't work with multiwindow. It acts like it is landscape mode fullscreen video so when you have two apps side by side, the video is literally cut in half while still playing and doesn't fit within the half window guideline.

Can i have both internet explorer and crome browser in win 8 full screen mode ?

When I set one of theme as default browser, it has the option to work in full win 8 mode. But at the same time the other one opens in desktop mode.. Is there a solution?

Unfortunatly no, the way that Microsoft decided to implement it is that the browsers have to be at as the default for it to open fullscreen. Would be awesome though If a dev can figure out a hack to bypass this but to my knowledge it hasnt been done yet.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4 Beta
What's actually the most infuriating about the whole default browser thing is that, the Modern version of IE is actually pretty decent for use on touch, really simple things such as the zooming and the keyboard coming up soon as you click a text box... it is a really good browser however... for some reason they remove access to it from your start screen if you install another browser and make it your default... I mean wth! lol...
I'm assuming you're not using Chrome on a tablet?
This is something I would find quite useful personally, I haven't found a way to do it though.
Chrome being treated as a modern app in fullscreen mode should do the automatic keyboard though

Actually I do use chrome on a clover trail tablet in full screen mode. But ie10 is much faster and better in this slow cpu. But I need folders for my favorites which it doesn't have (it will be added in ie11 by the way). Anyway I wanted to use both of them..
I would love to do that too. IE10 is the best browser in windows 8 mode. However the desktop version is not good enough...
