Chrome Browser (moronically) set at Mobile view default? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm assuming chrome browser is set by default at Mobile view...so you have to keep clicking desktop view (increasing data consumption) to view desktop displays?

Blurry images

Anybody else notice that images in Dolphin & stock browser appear somewhat blurry and pixelated, particularly on Honeycomb tablets? It appears that these browsers try to fit the page to the screen and end up stretching images out a bit resulting in a soft appearance. I've tested this on my own Web site which uses 900px images and no matter what I can't get Dolphin or the stock browser to render it 1:1 as 900px. Instead the images seem to stretch the entire screen on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (1280px wide). The result is a soft and pixelated images.
Alternatively, Opera Mobile seems to do a better job at rendering the images. As they do appear 1:1 and look every bit as sharp as how I see it on my desktop monitor.
I tried disabling 'Fit Web page to screen' in Dolphin's settings but that did not change anything in regards to the image rendering. Is there any way to achieve sharper images using the stock browser or Dolphin?
The default browser (and Dolphin) try to scale images to fit the width of the tablet. I figured out that by going into the browser's debug mode and toggling "Use Wide ViewPort" it disabled image scaling. The result is you get sharp images that are at 1:1 pixels. I just wish that there was a way to have this permanent instead of always having to go into the about:debug mode whenever the browser is loaded.
I'm not sure how to go about doing this in Dolphin HD or Pad versions though, since I'm not familiar with how to get into their debug modes.
I assume you are on KG6, if so you could either modify the framework or since he seems like a nice guy you could ask froli13 to mod it for you to run wide viewport, there is a thread in the dev section that changes the user agent to desktop http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17437874&postcount=110
I use dolphin for pad exclusively and never had any problems (except some sites with drop-down menus don't work).

How to add Metro Tiles back?

I was under the impression everything could run under the metro style section so I removed the Internet Explorer tile (not sure if I unpinned or uninstalled it) and replaced it with google chrome to find out that brings you to the desktop and loads chrome.
I want the Windows Explorer tile back, the one that ran under the start menu framework thing. But when I go into Search > Apps, I see internet explorer, but when I pin that to the start menu tiles, it just takes me to the desktop and launches Internet Explorer, how do I find the tile that launched the app under the tiles?
I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean to say that your IE tile from the Metro UI is missing and you wish to get it back?
If it is so, this is what I did - Unpinned the IE tile, Searched for Internet on the UI, right clicked on the IE icon and said 'Pin'. I got the tile back and also rearranged it where it was originally.
I had the same problem and finally found the reason...
I had chrome set as default browser...for some reason this prevents IE from running in metro mode. So if you set IE as your default browser it should run again in metro mode.
The real solution is to remove IE entirely by turning it off in "Turn Windows Features on or off".
The non-trolling real solution that worked for me was to refresh my Win8 installation.

[Q] Setting gallery orientation for viewing comics :)

Does anyone know of any way to set the gallery to only display portrait, cause I use it to view comics (since it loads in real-time, as opposed to actual comic viewers), but the only bummer is that reading them while lying down causes the images to switch to landscape mode. Anyone know a work around to this? I've tried other gallery apps, but they all load slowly:/ The default gallery app is SOO good!

[Q] Prevent Tabs from Refreshing on Stock Browser

Does anyone know how to prevent tabs that are open from refreshing when you switch between tabs on the stock broswer? That's the most annoying thing in the world when you switch between tabs and it has to refresh. With 1 gig of RAM, this shouldn't happen. It certainly doesn't happen on my galaxy note. I appreciate any feedback!
I've had the tabs refresh when I minimize the browser but not when switching between the tabs.
Best option is to grab another browser, like opera or dolphin HD.
