Does the nexus not have a hidden menu for the browser?
What I'm referring to is from my original transformer where you can enable a secret navigation pop up by sliding your thumb from the edge of the screen and buttons pop up
It was a shortcut to bookmarks, back button, refresh, etc
That feature isn't in chrome. Its in the default ics browser, but I don't think the n7 ships with that. Someone correct me if I'm wrong; I haven't actually received mine yet.

That's correct, it's an ICS Browser feature...I don't have it on JB with the Chrome browser.
It is a chrome feature on my gsii, hit the physical menu button. Isn't there supposed to be the three dots to bring that up in the top right corner on a tablet?

He's talking about this, and, no, I don't think it's in chrome:
Nope it's not & the stock ICS browser won't install on the N7 even after signing it,I'll work on it sometime this weekend to see if I can get it to work.

Hello,
I've recently upgraded from the Note to the Note 2 and I'm over the moon. Everything about this new device improves on the first and I'm so glad I upgraded.
My only gripe is this side bar that has mysteriously appeared and appears on every screen no matter what I'm doing and I don't know how to get rid of it.
As you can see in the attached image its a little tab on the left of the screen
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
that slides out to reveal a tray of applications but it's completely redundant and just frustrating.
Does any one know how to remove it?

Never mind someone just started a thread asking the exact same question while I was making this. Please can this one be closed?
Thanks!

That is multi windows slide bar....... Long press on back button will give that result
Just goes to show, one man's trash is another man's treasure... a week ago everyone was looking for multi view this week everyone wondering why the bar is so intrusive

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and I was thinking that it would the best place to ask people's about my problem, hope you can help guys.
If I go straight to the point , when I switch my tablet from portrait to horizontal half the screen shows the wallpaper and the other half is black.
I have auto rotation on and when I browse the web or YouTube I don't get that problem.
What do you think it could be?
I attached 2 pictures to show what happen, and also the same thing happen even with the stock Google wallpapers that came with the tablet.
I appreciate your help guys.

Are you using the stock launcher or did you install one?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
I use the stock launcher and in fact when I use a live wallpaper is all fine.
But when I use a regular wallpaper it gets problematic, even with the stock jelly bean wallpapers.
It seems like a display problem, but there's no setting for that on the tablet.

Hi,
I was curious if someone could tell me what the left and right arrows are for on either side of the menu/home/back buttons (see attached pic). I press them and nothing happens, and I can't find a description anywhere of what they do. Thanks

I wish those arrows showed up on mine, guess Sprint didn't get that option. Unless it's something you are supposed to enable in settings.

I installed Action Launcher and it has an amazing quick search app widget that is built in.
I would like to use another launcher, but can't find another quick search like this. Using Google Search takes me to a new window and performs more searches than I need.
Does anyone know of a widget that can do just app searches that I can place on my launcher and do 1 second searches?

Thanks. I installed it, and while it is REALLY fast, it still takes u to a separate screen for the searches. I am looking for a dropdown search that stays in the widget on the home screen.
oh.maybe this one can do the job:
