Droid X parts question - Droid X General

I am looking to replace just the glass part of a Motorola Milestone X, however I cannot find parts for this phone, everything lists the parts as a Droid X. Are the parts compatible with each other? As I stated the glass cracked and just needs to be replaced.
Also if you could get a link to a replacement screen that would be great! Appreciate it in advance.

The parts should be universal.

N7 Digitizers Anywhere?

First, i'm sorry if this is the wrong location, I just don't know where else to put this. It's not an accessory, I guess it could be Q&A, but i don't know.
Anyway, my trusted, loyal N7 took a dive last week and cracked its screen. I cannot for the life of me find anyone anywhere with the digitizer in stock! Does anyone know where anyone has these in stock? I need my N7 BAD!
Thanks

Yeah, I've checked there, I've checked eBay, I've Googled it, I've contacted local repair locations, and no one can get one. I was hoping someone had some supplier or knows of anywhere that they are in stock.
Try alibaba.com

There are vendors on Alibaba that will sell you a digitizer for around $100 but you have to buy 5 of them.
However, considering the alternative is to pay $170+shipping to an ebay vendor and there are a number of owners looking for them that you could probably sell the extras to.
Wow!!! You have to buy 5!!!
That way you have to send it off for repairs.
What does the repair cost???

Actually, I have not heard from any vendors yet on there. The repair shop down the road from me said that he was going to start stocking them once he can find them, so I'l going to point him over to them and see if he has any luck.

You could always pick up a used/new N7 off of Craigslist for 120.00-170.00 (depending location and condition I suppose). Then sell your N7 as parts for 50.00 or so.
I picked up a brand new sealed 16gb 2 days ago for 150.00 (ad was for 170.00). I wasn't looking for another N7 but I couldn't pass it up when he agreed to the offer. I live in the Phoenix AZ area.
Just be patient and you could probably get a 8gb N7 used for less than 120.00.
Seems like the price of the N7 doesn't warrant replacement part availability for the majority of N7 owners out there.

What about this one?
search for "New Latest 100% Original For ASUS Google Nexus 7 Touch Screen digitizer free shipping" on aliexpress.com
sorry I can't post url as a new user...
He sells even one item. I just hesitate because I can't find any guide how to replace it. The last crucial step is missing how to remove the LCD from the broken digitizer / outer frame. Anyone did it? Or herd / read something about?

The LCD and digitizer ship as one assembly because the LCD is bonded to the digitizer. The hard part is separating the digitizer from the front frame.
You can post the URL. Just leave off the http://WWW part.
Edit - I just saw the item online. I would be hesitant to get this. You would have to un-bond your LCD panel and that is near impossible without cracking it.

At this part of the world (Hungary) Google officially not selling N7-s, so tech support is not available, I have to repair my broken N7 (dropped and screen cracked) myself.
I still in the reading / learning phase. An ifixit video shows step by step instruction to disassemble the N7, but one step is missing from it, how the LCD / digitizer assembly could be removed from the front frame. Then I could order a digitizer / LCD assembly like this:
m.aliexpress.com/item/652472351.html
The other thing holding me back, that on some of the pictures on aliexpress.com the LCD not the original HYDIS but an OEM widh CHUNGHWA labels on.
Do you know how the glass display fasten in the outer frame, and how one can remove a cracked digitizer from it?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks a bunch folks! I just ordered from aliexpress just 1 unit for 95 bucks. The free shilling might take a month, and but that is not a problem.

Please don't forget to report how you replaced your cracked screen.
Actually, I'll be taking it down to a shop that specializes in mobile phone/tablet repair. I don't trust myself with this fix, and they could not find the part from their suppliers. They were OK with me providing the part.

Not a bad experience at all with aliexpress. I ordered the digitizer on the 13th, it showed up at my door on the 24th. Considering I used the free shipping option, and it was shipping from China to the US, i have no complaints at all.
The digitizer was well packed, double boxed, and wrapped in miles of bubble-wrap, they included tools for the replacement as well. I dropped my Nexus off at the shop yesterday with the new digitizer, and i'm expecting it back Monday.

Thats good news. What I really wondering is how would the LCD display replaced to the new digitizer? According to other posts I read the LCD is bonded to the digitizer, and nearly impossible to separate them. This is why its adviced to replace the whole digitizer/LCD assembly. Would you ask it from the tech people at the repair shop? Thanks.

Yeah, I'm wondering about that myself. I have read the same things about the digitizer and LCD panel, but these guys said that they could do it.
We'll see Monday.

Remember to update us, please :good:
Well, looks like the shop I brought it to was mistaken...they could not replace just the digitizer. Crap!
Anyway, we worked something out together for them to buy from me the digitizer and I went out to the local Game Stop and snagged a new Nexus 7. Lesson learned...I also grabbed a gel case.

Well Milton there are 2 Versions of Digitizers for the G2.
One version is for the d802/d805
and one for D800 D801 D803 LS980 VS980
So if you are looking for an assembly for your phone LCD+Digitizer then you need to use the second version for D800,D801 Etc.
Just find it for the VS980(Verizon G2 version)
If you wonder what the difference is between the 2 versions the most noticeable is that the Digitizer cable is different so it won't fit. If you want to see the difference with your own eyes then just jump to this post and see the images:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54882336&postcount=4
Simple and straight answer, Just search for Vs980 LCD+Digitizer assembly also if you replace your phone's screen and its still under warranty I suggest to find a digitizer+LCD with an LG Logo on it, Its also a bigger chance then that it's genuine.
Don't take this as a shameless plug, as it is not my business, however, I have dealt with this company a lot. They have great Customer Service, and all but one of my screens I have bought from them were flawless. The one was damaged from poor packaging. I just put one on today. http://stores.ebay.com/wholesaleblimited/
Ok, thanks for the replys for information

Moto x pure motherboard

Does anyone know where I can find a motherboard for the moto x pure edition xt1575? The sim tray got stuck on my old one and one of the pins for reading the sim came out. Can it work with one pin missing or do I have the replace the board/phone?
Send to Motorola sounds like a hardware fault...
After looking on eBay and such you are going to need to either send it in to Motorola or salvage one from a unit with other issues eg broken screen and hard lived body....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-UNLOCKE...108402?hash=item25be656e72:g:EOoAAOSwOVpXZFXg
Do you think that the same mobo would work for the european version? I have an xt1572 with broken mobo and I was wondering if I could buy that same 1575 mobo to use.

Moto x shatter shield

Hi does anyone know where I can buy a moto shatter shield fit my x force because I an noticing some scratches on the screen. I am looking to buy from somewhere other than official website if possible to cut down on costs thanks.
i found this on ebay.
no affiliation with them.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-Transpare...711842?hash=item281814db22:g:T80AAOSwfZhXMzi-
That would be a perfect price if it didn't have the Verizon logo on it. Mine is a UK version x force unbranded.
Here they are!
