Was @ the downtown Minneapolis store today and kindle fires were cut to 169.99.

Nexus 7 is still a better deal. Unless the Fire gets clearanced down to $125 it wouldn't be worth buying at this point.
And uf you have a target credit or check card you would get 5%off that too bringing it down to 161.50

Snatched up the last 2 at my Walmart for 250. I was planning in getting the nook tablet/color but this looks like a keeper at the price I paid!

Wow, I really doubt that'd work at my Wal-mart they are pretty strict and not as easily tricked.
The last place I'd buy a Kindle Fire is from my local Walmart lol.

Picked up 5 via the walmart price matching. 123.38 (133.** tax)
Would you be interested in selling one to a fellow SDer and xda member?
Where the heck is this coupon code? I'd gladly take another KF.

It's not a coupon code. It's a long-shot pricematch. You have to convince the manager that Trubull, CT Target is competition, finagle their vague price match guarantee (Walmart or other stores) and hope for the best.
I would pass one on to a fellow forum member but the five that I purchased were all snatched up as holiday gifts.
I got 4 today com SD
Fatwallet says kindle fire will go on sale (sort of) at wallyworld with a 50 dollar gift card Sunday.

IMO Playstore is your best bet. Its $14 for shipping, but you get a $25 playstore credit, a free copy of Transformers, and the best warranty service.

You get that anywhere just by activating it.
Don't know where you are. Here you can get them at staples, office Depot and frys electronics.

I got mine at staples because I hate waiting for shipping.
Play store. No problems with my N7 and then shipping is fast.

Walmart. Tax free weekend, I can have it now, and easy returns which unfortunately is a big possibility with this device. In fact, I've already returned one in 12 hrs due to ghosting, back light issues, and image retention. I tried to get the csr to annotate it on the return slip..but she just shrugged and said it was easier to write "doesn't work". Shame, hope it doesn't make it back on the shelf when someone unfamiliar with these issues thinks its fine because it boots and sends it back out into the wild.

I wasn't aware of that but it's still my understanding Google will only handle the warranty if you buy from them otherwise you have to deal with Asus.

Got mine at OfficeMax. I also got the 2 year protection package they offer for $29. It covers spills, drops, surges, fire you name it.

Heard about this on another board...I'm not on the West coast so can't confirm it:
Google Nexus 7 16GB for $215 at Fred Meyer (B&M Only)
Pick up a Nexus 7 16GB for about $215 before tax at the local Fred Meyer. They are running a shopping pass promotion that allows 10% off home electronics and an additional $10 coupon off any combination of home electronics.
They are stackable
Here are the coupons:

Nice find on this deal..
Not often you find the device for less than what google is asking..
Sure wish I could find a good deal on the Galaxy Nexus.. so far straight from the Google Play is the cheapest available.
Costco has their price for the US Galaxy Note 10.1 for $479.99 but with no coupon needed, get it for $439.99 from Jan 31-Feb24. Good deal.
Can you buy online or do you have to be a member?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
You can buy online but, obviously, must be a member. It is a membership warehouse and online business.
It also comes with a free case.
White only, no deep grey, at least at my local Costco.
What kinda case?

It's one of those slim slip cases used to protect it during transport. It makes for a very tight fit.

I got my Note 10.1 from Costco 4 days ago! I couldn't wait another week and it was sold out everywhere so I'm happy even thought I didn't got the $40 disfount.
The one by me has the 16gb white.
Online they have the 32gb gray for 549.99
Went to my Costco today and saw the rebate had been upped to $50. This was in Eureka, Calif., so YMMV.
Picked one up today in Wyoming, MI for $458.79 (on sale for $429.99 with instant rebate). I think it's a great deal! I've been looking online for one and lowest I'd found was around $490 (new).
Great tab! I'll be hanging around here more now.
Anybody ever have any luck getting Costco to refund the difference due to the price drop? I paid $479 at a Costco on Dec. 28, and I am well within the 90 day return policy. I would like to avoid attempting to return it (partly because I've dropped it once and now have some scratches on it).

Too bad we did not carry the tablet when I originally purchased mine. I have been employed with costco for over 10 years and was excited to finally get it in..

Oh that does suck. I'm sure your discount would've been more than $40 off.
Bought mine in Socal on Sunday for 429.99. I originally wanted the 32 gb but thought this deal was too good to pass up!
I wish they'd do this in the UK stores
