sar - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi guys. Can someone tell me about the sar of our mobile? Does SAR change with the custom roms?

According to www.prisjakt.nu it is 0.34 W/kg.

thanks for your answer, but do you know if this value of SAR remains stable regardless the rom that we are using?

No idea, always thought it was hardware depending.

almost afraid to ask, why radio updates?

So first off Ive used the search Ive used google search and Ive read the wiki. Still unsure of the answer.
Whats the advantages to updating the radio? does it manage power better? get better reception? In my search Ive also seen updating to a trinity radio but not its rom? Can some one shed some ligh on this for me? cheers
Yes to all of the above.
Radio updates are generally "tweaks". Many are carrier-specific and add performance boosts specifically to a carrier.
In addition to todd:
Although some of the updates are carrier-specific you should try it in your own network because its possible that its working in your network much better than in mine.
So would the 1.40.30.00 be the best to have for cingular or does it depend on your location as well?

As compared to what other radio? 1.38? IMHO 1.40 was better than 1.38, but now I am trying to use 1.48 which was recently released... As mentioned, the area that you are in, will greatly influence your decision as to which is better... There is a chart somewhere on this forum, you can use the google search function in my signature below to locate it... The chart is supposed to be a compilation of the different roms and what people thought about them... Actually, it was an opinion poll... So you can take that with a grain of salt...
Maybe someone in your area has posted their results and you can try their answers...
I believe the poll was entitled, "Which Radio works best"
Oh, and BTW, I am using Cingy/AT&T...
For Cingy radio users, that poll is HERE You can also use the links at the bottom to go to the WIKI, view Radio ROM's and read through those threads for opinions and experiences

Would this exchange be wise?

i currently own a FSC Loox N560,
someone offered me an exchange with the Jamin + HOLUX M1000 GPS receiver.
though i am tempted by the chance to change up, i fear that my user experience (VGA, 624Hz processor) would suffer.
could you please share your thoughts and experience on this matter?
thanks.
----- edited since there was no response -------
No disrespect meant , i do like the phone but i usually ask before making a decision.
if this is not the place to ask, please refer me to the correct forum.
i am very interested in your opinions and experience with the prophet, please help.

Comparing ROMs Information Accuracy

I have a question on the accuracy of some information. I ran across this page comparing different ROMS in Android Forums and was wondering if anyone could let me know how accurate the info was. I've only used Cyanogen so I don't know if anything about the other ROMs is true or not. Please help me out.

Question 576Mb Patch

hi everybody!
i saw some chefs cooks their roms with 576Mb patch in and some without it
some people say the patch is real and some say it is fake and it only reads some wrong information from hd2 and displays it but without realy releasing some extra ram
my question is how can we check if ram is really 576Mb? there is any method for that?
if it is already answered please point me into right direction
thank you!

thank your for your fast replies
i will read on because the suggested app doesn't clarify for me
regards
sorry to bring that back, but i saw some of the most respected chefs here still don't include this patch in their roms
if the patch realy works, why they wouldn't use it?
what would be the reason?
could some of the chefs please answer?
thank you!
regards
well unless you really push your hd2, you don't really need the extra ram. and having the extra ram available limits what radio you can use. (just my thoughts)
Exact, because the extra RAM introduces some limitations, and isn't really useful.
what is the difference between diffrent radio's?
what do they change\ fix?

BEST Radio Rom for HTC HD2

can anybody tell me,or does any body have on opinion on the best radio rom for the tmobile hd2?....like best as in fastest speeds....fewest dropped calls and stuff like that?...thank u my fellow collegues..
You can search all day. There is no "best".
There are subjective opinions at best and really little in hard facts or evidence when referencing actual frequency ranges Tmo uses where.
So your search will provide you some small cross section of subjective testimony lacking really any factual objective evidence.
Your search will have to include some logical inference and luck to perhaps hope you correlate what you find with someone who lives near you.
Otherwise you'll have to experiment on your own from the safe radio roms to use and determine with your own parameters.
Thread moved to General.
As per your question, people normally have different results with different radios based on where they are located. It is hit or miss, but in my experience, the latest ones are usually the way to go.
