0xD34D's (lithium76) goo.im has a Jelly Bean build... - Kindle Fire General

...but it doesn't boot for me.
Anyone want to give it a try?
I had nothing to do with this. I just found it browsing the otter builds on goo.im, I take no credit.
I downloaded it and checked the build.prop and it is 4.1.1.

@0xD34D (twitter) He lists "no wifi or audio" as known issues at the moment.

It booted for me last night. Seemed to work fine, except no wifi, sounds, screenshot, all known. Keeping an eye peeled for updates. :cyclops:

HOT! gapps-gb-20110503 (PULLED for now) for 2.3& gapps-mdpi-20110501 for 2.2 released
For those that are constantly wondering what the latest GAPPs are, or when they'll be updated, you can find the GB and Froyo GAPPs at http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/, the most recent one as of this date directly linked at http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/gapps-gb-20110503-signed.zip and http://goo-inside.me/google-apps/gapps-mdpi-20110501-signed.zip but they don't allow direct links but it'll still work after a very slight delay. These are not posted at the CM WIKI http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps yet, of course I'm sure they will.
Edit: The GB 0503 build has been pulled off that website for now, see the posts #10 and #17 for details.
Thanks guys!
checked goo-inside.me...... cm7 still says 0307.... maybe drmacinyasha hasn't updated the site yet? but how did you see differently then?

I hit the direct link provided for GB and it worked for me. I did it from my phone, too. There was a delay, as stated, but then the download started automatically. I reflashed and success!
Question I do have - not sure I noticed any difference other than the Shopper icon changed, but I may have missed something. Also - I just did a dalvik and reflash, would it be different to do a full wipe?
Thanks for sharing this, roirraW "edor" ehT!
the gb apps 404 out now :\ if anyone can link me ill gladly host on my server.
Google Apps released on 5/1 and again on 5/3 ? Tells me something was wrong with the first one... I'll wait for reports on the second one before trying it myself!

If you look at the links, the 5/1 link was GB, the 5/3 was Froyo (it's MDPI - the GB Google apps are universal DPI.) But it looks like the 5/1 GB Gapps was pulled anyway.
The Froyo Google apps generally have a lot more apps, while the GB ones load from the market when you run that initial setup. Actually, I just looked at them; the GB ones (from March) are Books, the market itself, carhome, Google Talk, and that's about it; the Froyo ones includes Twitter, Youtube, Gmail, Facebook, the Genie widget - and no Books. I think the dates don't mean much.
Ahhh yes, you're correct.
I browsed the directories listed and didn't see the newer GB Google Apps either.

Run all of the apps included in the ZIP. The updated one(s) might make you re-agree to terms or you might see a "what's new" pop-up.
Apps like Talk or Car Home haven't been changing very often. I'd guess that "Books" was updated and in turn, prompts a whole new GAPPS package. The real Google Apps, i.e. GMail, Maps/Navi, etc are stand-alone now. Other than Market, I have little need for GAPPS and I suspect many others are the same.
Cool - thanks all for the information as it's helpful for a noob like myself!

Just read this and thought I would pass it on:
May 2, 2011 ... New CM7 TINY GB GAPPS FOR ANDROID 2.3.4 ONLY gapps-gb-20110503-signed.zip. Don't flash it if u are not on 2.3.4 yet. Released by The_Big_O_ ...

i went ahead and mirrored the gapps for 0503 from the post above me (from The_Big_O)
http://defy.bz/ws/ <- in gapps
or directly via
http://defy.bz/ws/roms/gapps/gapps-gb-20110503-signed.zip
flashed them and they seem to be working okay on my install. talk doesnt allow us to actually *use* the voice/video chat but the options appear denoting the upgraded apps package. enjoy!

Netflix app for incredible in market now

Title says it all. This should have happened long ago, but better than never. Now for old episodes of the office
UPDATE for link http://market.android.com/details?id=com.netflix.mediaclient
I saw it on Engadget and yelled YES loudly in the hall. Everyone looked at me with an awkward stare.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I hate to say it but they got me to reactivate my membership with this. I could have sworn I read somewhere that netflix was only going to implement mobile netflix on phones with some sort of hardware security that the incredible doesn't have to appease the networks and movie studios.
Whatever, I'm happy now.
I like how its available to the Inc and not the inc2.....yes our phone is the **** still.
Edit:
Hecky hell balls....doesn't work with my CM7
I'm running the CM7 nightly from May 3rd (sorry, no idea what number that would be) and it's working fine for me. Some are reporting that you need to have the latest Flash update for this to work (10.3) and I got that this morning.
Hmmm I have the new flash....
Using nightly 75
Not sure how much of this will be useful but my full setup is: AMOLED, CM7 May 3rd nightly (think it's #65) (version 2.3.4), 4/19 incredikernel, and the 20110307 Gapps.
Yea the only diff is I am up to #75 hmmm
So far this app works perfectly, about damned time.
Still my favorite Android phone on the market (being partial of course, since it's the one I own haha)
I have been waiting for this for a very long time.

And, as I just stated before you, I am not ON 4.2 yet, and I am having the same issue.
***UPDATE***
Okay, so, I am still on CM 10 (STILL Android 4.1.2)
I side-loaded the Starbucks APK 2.2.3 (the newest, as of this posting) and it seems to work fine.
HOWEVER, the Play Store shows that it is installed, but still gives me a warning that the app is not compatible with my phone. Doesn't show the normal buttons for Uninstalling or Opening, so I'm assuming it won't Update as normal, either.
Side note: all other apps have seemed to work perfectly on my copy of this build, including Groupon and a side-load of Google Wallet. Not sure what the deal is.

[Q] Google Wallet on a Rooted phone

Ok, I've tried to get Google Wallet on my rooted S4 without asking too many questions, but I'm not sure if I'm messed with the system too much or not but regardless of what I do I am unable to get the NFC portion of Google Wallet working. I am running MDL and have frozen SE on the system.
I did try to follow the information on how to get it to work for the S3 and the S4 on AT&T but I am either missing a step or am really bad at getting simple things to work. Does this work on a rooted S4? Are the steps even the same? How can I learn more about this without running and asking questions for every little problem I have? (last one is really just more of a frustrated question).
If anyone could take a few minutes to point me into the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. If it can't be done, I understand (and may be relieved as sad as that sounds).

The problem I have is that it still says unsupported device but when I go to scan against an NFC reader (IE like those at CVS) it doesn't transmit anything. I turn my phone on, open it, and even open google wallet but nada.

Basically I just installed Wallet as normal and attached my account, then I went to NottachXposed›Applications›checked Google Wallet hack and rebooted.
