Haha yeah. I just can't wait for CM10/ CyanogenMod 10. I have a semi working build that is running on my Epic 4G and its nice. A big step up from ICS. I would like to publish it but I haven't done enough testing

I was referring to how it is unofficial at the moment. Its a leak and hasn't been officially released yet. Remember when the froyo leaks for the epic came out? It took a long time for sprint to roll out that update (since the leak). Just saying..not disagreeing
Yet the leak comes out for Motorola before HTC's own products; ex: Evo. Lol weird.

I heard that he makes good roms for droid users and a great dev as well. Pete makes roms for our devices and its outstanding!

His Bugless Beast rom for the OG Droid is legendary in the Android community..he's almost like another Cyanogen apparently.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk
What makes his involvement so great is that he makes really good roms, put it this way. The Droid 3 is out and people are still rocking the OG Droid with Bugless beast. Yeah he's been here since the beginning but this means he'll be making roms for our NS4Gs
Dude you gotta try his Rom its freaking awesome. It's super fast and has the best battery life. Can't wait to see what additions he has in store in the future

Yeah, it's pretty slow here at XDA for our Droid X's but there's several active roms over at Rootzwiki that are being worked on. I've been running an unofficial CM9 beta over at Rootzwiki. It's pretty sweet even with the few things that still need some work.
I was under the assumption they weren't going to have ICS for the Droid X, but they would for the Droid X2. Oh well, time to play with my ol' Droid X.
Every rom on RootzWiki is the latest rom. They are regularly updated and each is running great.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
CM7.2 RC1 was just released on Monday. Like others have said rootzwiki has a few projects going but I don't see a lot of updates coming out of any of them. Most of the time it's someone else picking up the project after someone else dropped it. Gave it a new build number and new name and that's about it lol.
Like was said above the DX rom scene is pretty active. There are 3 distinct ICS roms (cm9, miui v4, gummy) and several other active GB roms. Lots of choices
you could call me a developer although i am limited to just a few small things on another phone. I used to have a droid X when it first released until i had a few issues with it, specifically a low battery with an sbf so i had to do the usb trick with the battery which fried the board on the phone so i was no longer able to charge the battery through the phone(weird issue). I had to make a battery charger which worked very well, and i used it for about 4 months.. Finally my home button malfunctioned and acted as though it was stuck.
Anyways, I am acquiring a new X and will start some developement with that. So consider this an early entry into something that will be developed and then released.
Look in my signiture for links to my release on the Samsung Continuum.

I'm loving gummy v.0.9.0. Favorite rom on the DX so far. Only problem that bugs me is the garbled bluetooth calls. I have to take the phone out of the dock and change the output from bluetooth to speaker just to understand people.
The Gummy 3-30 build works very well. It's alot speedier than 0.9.0!

Idk what the deal is but I'm pming this guy asking what his team has developed/done with this rom and all I'm getting is "minor tweaks" and "I can't release any info". I also asked what was different from the current kang of CM10 and got no answer. Sounds like bs to me, or they didn't do any actual development and it's just a kang of the current CM10 code. Or, for a "leader" of his development "team" he doesn't stay well informed.
Sorry but if you publicly ask people to test your "rom" you should be able to tell them what you/your team have done to it.

I'm honestly assuming that he is just taking a current cm10 build and editing the build prop and adding beats audio like 99% of JB "ROMs" for other devices....

Yeah... I doubt he could even compile the CM source (which is easy if you know what you are doing, not if you post themed stock ROMs...). I'm only being doubtful because it is hard to make a ROM from AOSP source with enough features to compete with CM10 unless you just steal CM10. There have been other "dev teams" on the epic that have released horrible ROMs before... And I also don't like the idea that this one is taking the name from ACS (that could be debatable, but I am pretty sure).
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, no disrespect to the guy, but I remain skeptical for various reasons.
If this thing turns out to be awesome, I will gladly eat my words.
So I just went through like all this guys threads and most of them, or actually all of them, are just pointless I guess I can call them?
Most of them he posts questions that never even get not one comment. I'm not sure where he bes posting them. And he never gives links, he never credits ppl, he says he has a "company" affiliated with the fly grip accessories?? And he's somewhat always looking for a phone? Cuz it seems one day he breaks his epic and doesn't want another epic and the next day he has an epic and then he wants a new phone to develop on and last month he called himself a "new dev" that's "learning" and didn't know how to install ubuntu and now a month later he has a fully working jb ROM that apparently needs "testers" but can't be tested by anyone.
This guy is reallly starting to seem like he's just someone bored.

Well, it's not just that. MIUI is very easy to theme and, at least on my Droid X, very fast. In fact, it was the smoothest ROM for that phone in my opinion, and I was flashing just about everything for two years straight.
I guess MIUI is Opensorce project, see www.miui.us for more detail. and here https://github.com/MiCode/PatchRom/tree/jellybean
please anyone be kind enough to explant to the razr m
Love or hate MIUI, it’s an innovative and fresh take on Android, and one of the most popular custom ROMs out there. What didn’t sit so well with many of our forum members, however, was the fact that, despite being built on top of the open source CyanogenMod ROM, it was closed, with all development being done by the Xiaomi company. Well, was – it’s now in the process of being open sourced.
Besides the ROM itself – or, rather, a “PatchROM” that should allow developers to port MIUI to new devices – the various MIUI-specific applications are also getting their source codes released, all under the Apache 2.0 license. Not everything seems to be available yet, but then, we guess that the whole process spearheaded by the new MiCode community will take some time.
If you’re a developer, take a look at the source code on GitHub.
miui is nice, fast smooth and pretty but it has some limitations from standard android. anyways i would love if someone would port the new galaxy s3/s4 rom for razr m. dont know if its possible but would be cool. not the old touchwiz! that sucks.. yea! well i was also skeptical about the s3 when it had been released. recently i used one and a galaxy note 2, i have to say the ui is smooth and it has some nice features. anyways im just saying. i liked it. i have used sonys and htcs ui but both are as smooth or easy for the eyes as the s3 ui. well just my opinion. right now i would take any rom thats smooth cool and stable. i guess miui v5 port would super cool for the razr m. i heard cool reviews about it. :fingers-crossed: hope they release it soon and someone make a port

I tried out the launcher and it is still a little buggy. Biggest issue is the lockscreen quirks. Like it will sometimes unlock just by touching the screen or sometimes won't even show the lock screen.
