Factory Image? - Nexus Q Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So it seems I've "shot-put" my device by doing something silly with the android-16 SDK images...
Anyone have any idea how to get the factory image? Or can someone upload theirs?

Bin it or return it?

I can get into recovery but it doesnt show the three images.
Made the mistake of wiping thinking I was on my S2 where I could access all files.
get to recovery now, no fast boot or ADB . Should I bin it or return it?
Thank you.

It's probably not completely broken... I can't offer any advice but generally these things (android devices) are salvageable as long as they still power up. It does take some know-how though.
That said, should you decide to bin it, I'd gladly pay you something for it. Sad to see it just tossed in the trash.
Id gladly pay something for it also, PM if interested.
If you can get to the bootloader, it's probably fine, and can be fixed. Might have to follow instructions as to how to restore a factory image, and then continue from there.
Find a factory image you can flash via fastboot. There should be a thread around with them in it.
Basically it is the same process you used to flash the recovery. I think CyanogenMod's wiki has a article on how to use it.

You can use the Nexus 7 Toolkit to try to fastboot flash your factory image if you aren't comfortable working with the SDK, ADB, etc.

[Q] Problem with security and deleting apps

My recent upgrade to 4.3 was far from smooth. I managed to get the phone working with 4.3 but there are still some problems. I don't mind resetting again. Is there a good way to do this? I'm guessing I download the factory image (at https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occamjwr66v) and then somehow flash this on using my laptop.
Are there any guides for this? I'm not sure exactly what the terms are for what I'm trying to do. Does anyone have any pitfalls that I could avoid? Thanks in advance.

Here's a good Guide on how to return a Nexus 7 back to stock. Here. Returning to stock is in the 4th post. It's just a bunch of fastboot commands. You can use the guide for the n4, just replace the nakasi/grouper parts with the corresponding occam/mako parts (the folder names, bootloader, and image name)

[Q] I'm dumb and my Lgg2 says security error

I have the Verizon lgg2 says security error. I'm not really sure how to fix it. And if someone could really help me I need my phone working for my job. Can someone help me?
Edit: I got the Factory Hard reset thing to pop up, what should I do?
Edit 2: Hello? Anyone?

Were you on stock software or did you modify your phone? What Rom if you did modify your phone? What were you doing before you restarted and got that error?
All the security error means is the bootloader detected something that isn't stock. They locked the loader on the G2 on newer stock roms, so no custom recovery or roms can be loaded, just giving up that security error.
Your best bet is to use download mode to reflash the stock firmware, if you can't load into the OS. If you can load the OS, or after flashing, use freegee and it will automatically downgrade your bootloader to one that can use customs.
There's plenty of tutorials out there for this, google is your friend.

got my 1p5 into emergency download mode, don't know how to fix it.

i posted in the questions thread but it looks like people get answers quicker if you make a post, so.
i tried rooting my 1p5 today and i messed something up, after unlocking the bootloader but before flashing twrp. i can't boot into fastboot or recovery, and it doesn't show my phone in my file explorer (though it does in device manager).
someone on discord said i got my phone into emergency download mode, that i can push the stock rom and restore to factory defaults, but i don't know how to do that and they haven't responded yet.
can someone please tell me how to do this?
Maybe something from here can help you.

Oneplus 8 Pro stuck in recovery

I don't know if this is the right place.
But my OP8 Pro is stuck in recovery mode after the latest update. (11.0.5.5.IN11BA). I tried to do some tricks that I found on the internet, like ADB and fastboot commands but most of the things don't work because my bootloader is locked.
People say the only way to enter my phone again is to factory reset. But I really don't want that because there is some important and precious data on my phone. The problem is that the files has not been backed up yet..
There should be a way to enter my phone again right? Or maybe to sideload a working version of Android WITHOUT deleting my data. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks alot!
Nobody?
I know this is like 6 months too late... But I would suggest installing dropbox or some other service that will at least send items into the cloud as a backup of sorts. Relying on human behavior to back up pics, files is a sure fire way to end up disappointed.

Just wipe system...if that fails then yep it's a factory wipe, guessing you already did that though
