Yes this is getting irritating now no update of 8000 in india to samsung service sucks big times idiots are not sitting in korea but ****ting in korea

if the lower spec tabs getting it then samsung crossed the line with taking the piss

This is quite humorous, as I just switched from a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to a Galaxy Note 10.1, thinking that the updates would come thick and fast to the more premium unit!

I wonder if Apple's suit against the Galaxy Note 10.1 which is linked to how it will work with Jelly Bean has anything to do with the delay?

It's not set to go to trial until 2014. By then there will be a Note 10.1 2 or 3.

We need a thread that's just a countdown to 31 Dec (the last date they can deliver the upgrade without breaking their word formally).

Jelly Bean 4.2 has caused a lot of issues for Nexus users. It might be a good thing Samsung is not rushing.

No its not because if the Apple Suite if that was case no update would have been release and no we are not going to get 4.2 as we already have 4.1.1 updates rolling out and thats what we all will get

Well that is pretty disappointing to hear. Samsung have been pushing the note10.1 here in the UK recently with a big advertising campaign, I really can't see why they would be updating older products first.

Um you guys are aware that the 8000 JB OTA'S being released already work just fine with some minor fixable glitches on everything else right?
I am running the 8000 OTA on my 8013 right now with zero problems.

Atleast i am aware... but not geek enough to take the plunge. I am not sure on what the consequenses may be and what could be done to fix them.
waiting for a legit release from samsung for my 8013... hence the pain seeing that a older model got update quicker than a newer model..

They really know how to push our patience to the limit, this is meant to be their best tablet but it doesn't look like they think it is enough to give it priority.

I agree. People may also see that the tab 2 is a second generation of the tab and think it is the superior product. Not everyone is tech savvy. I personally think Samsung is prepping a Note 2 10.1 to be announced in January that'll come preloaded with Jelly Bean. We may not see an official JB until then.
That's what my money is on. They just don't care about existing customers.

The Note 10.1 was introduced in August so there won't be another until next year. This is what Samsung does also with Galaxy S series, Note etc. Sorry for saying but there is no need to become paranoid due to the delay.

4G is just launching in my country and I got selected as a lucky tester. They gave me a free Galaxy Tab 2 to try it on.
I don't really know what to do with it yet as I already own a Galaxy Note 10.1. Just wanted to say hi in this forum as I'll be snooping around for tips; I can't understand why this thing is still on 4.0.3 tho...

the international ones only got 4.0.3 instead of 4.0.4 ICS, but depending where you are there should be a 4.1.1 JB update rolling out for the 5100 anytime now.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & S3 Android 4.2.2 - Waiting update...

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy range of handsets will be pleased to hear that they are about to be updated to Jelly Bean 4.2.2.
PC Tablets said that the devices getting updated include the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Samsung Galaxy S3. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 along with the Samsung Galaxy S3 should get the update anytime soon, as it was said to be before the end of May. There just happens to be two more days left this month.
SamMobile also backed this up on their Twitter account, when they said that the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will also be getting an update to Key Lime Pie, when it comes out.
“A tweet from a reliable internal source for Samsung related leaks, SamMobile, has confirmed that both Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is coming by the end of May or in start of June,” said the report.
There is no word on when they might get the update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2, however when they do it could be the last update that these handsets get.
Owners will be pleased to know that the update will bring with it new features along with bug fixes, owners can also look forward to being about the resize apps, change the layout and the colour.

If this was all true we would have leaks of 4.2.2 a long time ago. So far no leaks so I think its a long way off I'm afraid. I am eagerly waiting like everyone else but I don't thin anything official will come yet...........

Oh I thought you ment art (Android) well for writing and art (Mac) is good but for tablet (ipad) I can't tell. I'd go for Windows on that one. Much more convenient and more apps can be used. And you don't have to worry about any damn can't install outside app store. Bullocks stuff is what it is.
But I can't really recommend any good Windows tablet though. that you'll have to look for what suites you.

Device specific updates from 4.0 to 4.1 for specific countries are never ever'going to happen.
A 4.4.1 to 4.4.4 might be country specific but not rather a complete os update. That be unfair foo

Not the 2012 version of the note 10.1. This tablet is ancient and Samsung is more concerned with making money then keeping its loyal customers happy.
They still haven't released kitkat for the N8013! The day it gets lollipop is released for the N8013 is the day Pigs Fly. :silly:
