Is there a specific reason all custom roms are not for GT sprint users?. Thanks!!!

If your asking why you cant flash a rom like overcome or something gsm
Each carrier has thier own crap on the tab plus there is a differance between types. Sprint is for instance cdma, while att is gsm. You can not flash a gsm rom on cdma. Breaks your tab.

Thanks for the info!! Is there a reason the DEVS only develop for gsm?
Bad news - most devs have gsm tabs. Personally I think this was a conspiracy that goes all the way to oboma. Good news - the one overclock and voodoo kernal we have is actually sweet as shiatzu. It is for vzn and sprint. Also the roms for vzn are very sound. Not sure about sprint there.

Hi.
Using the korean Optimus G(which is international version), I'm so curious about whether my device can be supported by your development ( there should be things I(or LGOG users) have to port, that's fine with me)
Is it possible?

I really doubt it, but it's not impossible. I mean they do use the exact same h/w. The inclusion of LTE might require different radios, but I don't see why the kernel and ROM couldn't be the same. Obviously, LG locking their bootloader (it is locked ont he OG, isn't it?), and the N4's absence from AOSP will be a hinderance to development on either device (assuming cross compatibility in ROMS, which isn't guaranteed).

Actually LGOG has been unlocked already
I'm worry about that OG has MHL(N4 SlimPort), no wireless charge, hardware touchbotton, and different cam(Sprint and International 13MP)
This is too much gap compared to something like GN Maguro and Toro

Going from my experience with the lg p999 that was the same as the p990 except for the radio and partitions. If you have kernel source, skilled developers should be able to port N4 Roms.
But I also learned that you can't depend on lg to provide the updates needed for porting without allot of work from your developers. Unless you have the skills to do this your self there is a chance you will be left out of future android versions. This is why I'm using a nexus device now.
IMO your best chance for compatible Roms is for Cyanogen to support the OG. That way all the heavy lifting will be done by them.

So I US Cellular is done in Chicago and I refuse to purchase another phone if I can change over with my current one.
I am already rooted and wondering what I would need to do attempt to get the cmda to recognize Verizon. PLEASE HELP!

Looks like you're in the wrong section. This is for the international GS 3 rather than any us variant so any help probably will either be a. Harmful to the device or b. Not helpful at all

Now I have had previous Samsung Galaxy phones that I have rooted and I'm very familiar with the whole process.
However, I have never used a phone that was bought for one carrier and used on another.
I'm planning to purchase an AT&T Galaxy S4 and using it on the T-Mobile network (wish me luck).
What would be the best way to unlock the AT&T phone to use a T-Mobile SIM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285431This is what I have found, but I heard something about a USB unlock being more successful.
Once the phone is "Unlocked", and I root the device, should I be using the AT&T ROMs section, or T-Mobile? I'm going to guess AT&T because they are somewhat hardware dependent?
Lastly, will this AT&T version limit my signal in anyway (not accounting for the already possibility of bad signal)?
Meaning the AT&T version only picks up the lesser of the T-Mobile bands or signals.
If I sound like an idiot, I apologize. I've done some research and cant seem to find the right keywords to search.
Thanks in advance for any information.

I am using i337 with tmobiles sim card. I get 4g at over 10mbs and even over 20mbs on some good dsys. I usually use att roms although I've found that i9505 and tmobile work too. Just have to stick with loki'ed kernels. Hope this helps.
It does, thank you.
So look for a ROM with Loki kernels?
And which unlock method did you use to get the T-Mobile SIM to work?
The one above or a different one
Thanks for the info

Dear Mods,
I know I'm not alone when I say this, but we would like our own forum for our Canadian variant of our device. As our device is significantly different from other variants, and nobody likes specific projects for N900W8 to be jumbled along with ROMs for N900 or N9005 (as they can't be installed on a W8 device without major issues), I would like to start a poll to gather people who would like a clean forum, not a forum with three different variant's ROMs jumbled up together that aren't cross flashable.
Also asking questions and finding solutions is easier when the entire forum uses the same device, so a solution for the specific device is much more convenient in the same forum!
Also go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46446026&postcount=11600 to like my post and also post a quick reply saying you want the N900W8 as well!
Thanks a lot!
Nicholas
Please!!

This sure would make things a lot easier that's for sure...especially once things really get going with development and once our phones have roms released
I agree with this idea!
Yes please !
Another yes. It's always been jumbled together with AT&T and then i have to manual filter to find items that are applicable.
+1 On this. Right now I'm reading on different sub forums to find out which model my phablet actually is compatible with.

Agreed we need our own forum since the cross flashing as seen with s3 and s4 arent going to apply with N3 so it would seem.

flashing Roms even from other versions of the same model don't work. We definitely need our own board.

Just be aware that it looks to not be compatible with any if the ones with their own forum as of yet....maybe with custom roms or a custom installer but not now

Short answer is no...
We just don't want to be lumped into the U.S.A providers.

Bell/telus..rogers/fido probably.
Wind runs on diff frequencies. ..people on wind dont even get LTE. having this phone and no lte is like having a ferrrari but you cant take it out of first gear!
At the very least wind users will need to flash another baseband to run a rogers or bell ROM

I'm just wondering, would it be possible to eventually kind of convert the Canadian Note 3 variant into an American variant? I don't think I've read about any hardware differences between the two variants. Also, I can't imagine there would be too much development for just the Canadian Note 3 alone (or has there been an active developer community for Canadian devices previously?).

For your information, the Galaxy S4 have his own section in the forum :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2257
As you can see, there is plenty of roms and folks exchanging informations, tips and bugs for the same device, which make sense for me
Just remind every one, not only Canadian is using N900W8, N900W8 is a very large group. Mexico, Many South America country is using N900W8 too.
Plz develop this model phone.

I think that is because at&t is SGH-i337 and rogers/bell is SGH-i337M; T-mobile is SGH-M919, Wind is SGH-M919V.
But now the model name is big difference, dont know if the hardware has different or is bootloader lock or not difference.

Yeah that's why there's a / in the title too
That raises a question too. Is the Wind version of W8 actually the same as the Robellus W8? Even though numbers match up, we won't know till we can compare the stock ROMs with each other.
