*I am currently testing the 24004 prl WITH NO issues so far*
I have noticed if you use any other ROM then Stock, it doesnt always work (even using the prls i know that work )
NO MSL REQUIRED!!!
***STOCK (ODEX/DEODEX/ROOTED) ROM REQUIRED***
CDMA workshop IS NOT Required!!
Step 1) DOWNLOAD THE PRL OF YOUR CHOICE
Step 2) rename the prl as TEST.prl (TEST needs to be in caps i think)
Step 3)place on the root of your SD card.
Step 4) TURN OFF MOBILE DATA ON THE PHONE *
Step 5) Go to Phone and do ##data#
Step 6 )SELECT VIEW (not edit!)
YOU WILL SEE a PRL Write area,
(Step 7) Click PRL Write
Step 8) Click PRL Write (again)
Your phone will now reboot and use that prl you placed on the root of your SD CARD. ENJOY
--==WARNING==--
You will get calls or letters from Sprint if you use any PRL not from Sprint OR roam alot and stream/Download a bunch of Music/ Movies every month for 3+ months. The data limit is 300MB per month before you get flagged. Sprint will just cancel your contract if you are not careful.

CONFIRMED WORKING PRLS...
00001.prl
01115.prl
25002.prl
25004.prl
24004.prl - (some people report text's dont send with this prl, but i havent had issues ? )
-let me know if you find more that work-
IF THIS METHOD DOESNT WORK FOR YOU TRY http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747337 BY elfhater
This doesn't seem to work with modified PRLs (ie 00001, 00002, etc). My guide on that SHOULD work with modified PRLs but I haven't been able to test my method with one yet.

Yep. Prl's are safe to mess with. Just keep dl the stock one and keep it invaded you put a prl on that has bird service.

This works with all PRLs. I am on 00002.prl (Verizon). Someone mentioned in another thread that in order to get the PRL to work correctly after renaming Test.prl, you should turn off MOBILE DATA and then use ##DATA# to write PRL.

This method works but in can't force roam. I have the roam control app but it doesn't roam when I select roam only. It just stays on the sprint network.
Edit: 24004 prl doesn't work for me. I can receive text but I cannot send text... Also roaming does not work.

Hey guys i found this modded prl over on ppc geeks the other day and it works the same way the techknofiles prls does except it dosnt drop data near as much and my ping has been much more stable with this one what this does is it roams off of varizon towers but it tricks the phone into thinking its on sprint still'
trouble shooting.
first u need a sprint rom that allows manual prl updates
then once u update the prl go to the dialer again and diale ##3282# and go to data profile, then press menu/restore. wait for your phone to reboot then wait a sec and it should say hands free activation in progress once its finished itll reboot. After that update your profile and your done.
Enjoy

you can do it the hard way and use cdma workshop or use a pre 2.3 sense rom such as older zen roms and dial ##775# and the prl needs to be on the root of your sd card and u need to unrar it first.
heres the best of 3 tests witch is by far the best ive ever gotten lol.

This is all correct. I used this method yesterday.
I assume this sticks, just as if your were to flash a radio?
Due to potentially dangerous problems with the Gingerbread leak radios, I have pulled my download links and suggest you go back to froyo.
As many know, I don't do real custom roms, just repacks of stock/leaks for users. Due to the bugs in the leak this is based on, I am unable to stay stock. I will do my best, and will list any modifications I use.
Wanna report a bug?
Did you do a data/cache wipe before installing? If no, please don't report.
Can you provide logs if it is a crash? If no, please don't report.
Did you do any modifications? New kernel? If yes, please don't report.
Otherwise please PM me details, with a log if available.
Community attributed fixes:
imoseyon kernel v2.5.3GBtest2 - Fixes Camera
PSCII.apk (chingy) - fixes usb mounting with custom kernels
HTCSetupWizard.apk (aiccucs) - No more activation of death
(if I missed you, please let me know)

Stock Kernel
For those wanting to undo the Camera Fix kernel

Fixed:
Usb Mounting
Camera
Activation Hang
Missing Market Apps
Bluetooth issues - Should be fixed, please report back.
Broke: (thanks arcanexvi)
Alarm Clock (for some) UPDATE Fix coming on next update
Wifi Tether ??? - Need details + logs before I look into it
Data loss after callls ??? - Need details + logs before I look into it
Extremely Slow charge - Need details + logs before I look into it
Slow 4G performance - Disputed, no LTE where I live, need massive details
Unable to download new HTC widgets - NOT BROKE, server side issue, like in 2.1 leak for Eris.
Uninstalling an application causes it to "freak" - Need details + logs before I look into it
Gingerbread leak is alpha software, it is buggy. All roms based off it will be buggy. If this bricks your phone, it is your fault not mine. If it causes any harm, your fault not mine.
DOWNLOAD LINK REMOVED
Radio flash is not needed if you are upgrading from another Gingerbread Sense rom. Data/cache wipe is recommended.
Installation Instructions:
Download both the ROM and the radio.
Rename PG05IMG_gingerradio.zip to PG05IMG.zip and drop it onto the root of your SD Card.
Put mecha_gingerjane_1_3.zip onto the root of your SD Card
Boot into recovery
Do a Nandroid Backup!
Perform a factory reset
Flash mecha_gingerjane.zip, DO NOT REBOOT
Using ADB, reboot to bootloader
adb shell
reboot bootloader
If in fastboot mode, switch to bootloader mode and allow the updated radios to flash.
Enjoy!
Since everyone wants screenshots, here it is. It looks ...like...stock.

Just a Question:
So the new radio for this rom... Is it compatible with the current froyo roms we have?
If not... can we flash back to froyo w/ a compatible radio? or is it GB or Bust?
This question had to be asked at some point.
bloat is still in this one right? So the basic debloat and this one are different?

So, I'm trying to use this tool to root/s-off my buddy's T-bolt. It connected to the tool fine and started up. I selected option 1, and is now stuck on the "rooter" section where it mentions static across the screen. This is on my VM. The drivers have been installed, and there is no other program that would connect to the phone. Any ideas?
***EDIT***
NM. . . I am a douchebag. I'm having to "allow" the phone back through USB on my vbox for everything to move through. . .

I made it through. I'm pretty new to VM's. . . and have DEFINITELY come across a few hateful hiccups trying to set this one up. All this while I'm still attempting to get used to the Ubuntu Unity toolbar!!!
Anyways, I gained S-off, but it didn't flash CWM or SU. Revolutionary got hung up on "rebooting to fastboot once moar". I should probably give up on this vbox and run it all through Linux since I do have S-off. . .
Regardless, awesome tool!!! Thanks for the huge improvement to this community!!!
-Paul T.
Uh yeah, trying to root and do other low level sophisticated stuff to your hardware from a VM is pretty suicidal. Just use a spare xp/Win7 box.
Anyway, major props to OP for being such a badass and making this. Also downloading to add to my arsenal.
Got my update alert this afternoon. Looks like they started pushing 4.4 again to start the week off. Anyone else get one?
Despite the fact I really really want the better camera settings I'm gonna hold off to preserve my LTE on T-Mobile......well for as long as I can at least before the pressure gives in. Or they get the radio problems in 4.4 fixed. If that ever happens.
Hope everyone has good luck with it if they get it.

Also wondering if there is confirmation that the entitlememnt hack dies on this update. And if so, is there a known hotspot solution?
I just received the update this morning (DC area), so it looks like they're pushing it out pretty quickly.
The update was fast- it probably only took 5 minutes- and was without issue.

Quick question though, I'm rooted with write protection disabled...I need to unroot my phone before accepting the OTA, correct? And then even doing so I cannot easily gain root while on 4.4, right?

Also wondering if there is confirmation that the entitlememnt hack dies on this update. And if so, is there a known hotspot solution?

I've updated to 4.4 in December and the entitlement hack is no longer working. Prior to the update I was rooted with the initial MotoRoot and modified Entitlment Check value to enable free tethering, then unrooted and removed MotoRoot. Big red finally caught up with us and resets the Entitlement Check value with the 4.4 update.

I'm assuming you're rooted on 4.2.2. If so then yes, you MUST unroot to avoid a bootloop. Best way is to FXZ with HouseOfMoto to restore stock 4.2.2. You will not lose 'write protection disabled'.
Then follow these steps that will allow you to keep root through the 4.4 update process:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2577029
I was just now able to pull it by checking system updates.
Southern Idaho downloading now
Downloading the update now on my MAXX. Not rooted just using Foxfi for my hotspot, hope it doesn't break that. Post again when done.
It's downloading here too. XT1080 in NorCal

Go here for stock tethering. This worked for me on 4.4. Thank the OP in the following thread:

To Fix the data on the cloudy G3 rom on the Sprint LG G2 (ls980) do the following
This is the first time ive done a tutorial on XDA if there are any questions feel free to ask dont be a douche and if i have helped you please click thanks
I am assuming that you already have cloudy g3 up and running if not STOP and go install it -----> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783192
Okay Cloudy G3 is now installed on your G2 first you will notice that there is a line going through the data toggle on notification pull down we will get rid of that first by doing a build prop edit:
The easiest way to to a build prop edit is to download rom tool box lite from play store (http://tinyurl.com/9reyx24) after you have rom tool box lite you are going to open it and swipe one screen to the right you will now be under performance overview click on build prop editor click the search bar and search for these 3 build props and change them accordingly after the first one it will ask you if you want to reboot click dont ask again then no
ro.carrier=spr (NOT SPR)
ro.build.target_operator=spr (NOT SPR)
persist.service.crash.enable=1
REBOOT DEVICE NOW
Now when you pull down notification panel you will be able to turn data on and off....

Now mobile networks is still greyed out?
to work around this we will need an app called Tellinfo it is found in playstore (http://tinyurl.com/o3e8s3q)
go down to preffered network type and select "wcdma prefered"
this will allow network to become active
now you may change any of the settings that you need to in mobile networks
then go back into tellinfo and change preffered network to lte/cdma/evdo or lte/cdma/evdo/gsm/wcdma which ever one work best for the area you reside in i use the longer one. you will know which one is working because gsm service will read "in service" if it doesnt work it will say emergency calls only
WHEN YOU CHANGE BACK FROM WCDMA PREFERED THE BUTTON WILL GO GREY AGAIN THAT IS OKAY DONT WORRY ABOUT IT AND IF YOU TURN OFF OR RESTART YOUR DEVICE GO INTO TELLINFO AND RE SELECT YOUR PREFERD NETWORK BECAUSE FOR SOME REASON IT DOESNT STICK IM NOT SURE WHY ---SO I DOWNLOADED RADIO SWITCHER FROM PLAYSTORE AND WAS ABLE TO REBOOT WITHOUT HAVING TO GO INTO TELLINFO DONT KNOW IF IT WAS COINCIDENCE OR NOT WORTH A TRY MAYBE
ALSO IF YOU GO INTO SOFTWARE INFORMATION AND IT SHOWS BASEBAND UNKNOWN THAT DOESNT MATTER EITHER

Entering *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer brings up the same menu. No need for an app.
Good of you to make this thread for everyone on LS980 to easily find the info.

does this bug only affect the stock KK LS980 (ZVC, etc. ) ? I flashed and still using CloudyG3 1.2 from JB (ZV8) and has no problem with data enable at all .
The only thing I notice is battery consumption for idle last around 7,8 days instead of 10+ days ...but i dont care since I charge daily.

still not able to get data working. I applied the buildprop edit, and instead of 3g icon, i have what looks like a 'N' with two lines on the slant.. any suggestions?
1. did you come from cloudy g3 1.3
2. was it a clean or dirty flash
3. when phone was activating did it fail first then you click skip (ive done this )
screen shot please
there are ls980's running flawlessly on cg3 2.0 they factory wiped and wiped everything BUT SYSTEM the sprint variant is a very finicky system and 100% clean install is the best way to go
