When I had a Galaxy Note, they started a Google+ Circle to discuss anything Note related and figured we should do the same with our new S3's!
Make sure you have Google+ downloaded on your phone with the google plus messenger (comes with it anyway). https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.apps.plus&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5nb29nbGUuYW5kcm9pZC5hcHBzLnBsdXMiXQ..
Click this link to view the circle. Join or comment the circle and I'll add you to the Messenger+ chat.

Once added to chat, if you'd like messages silent, select mute from menu in the chat.

added

Sorry, If you've added me in the past few hours, you'll have to re-add the circle. make sure you comment on the circle and add it. The notifications bar pooped out.

Asked to be added, I'm going to get one soon.

Anybody know why I can't seem to get my G+ account reinstated? It was suspended...I emailed them about it...never got a response. (a month now?) Should I just delete the account and try again...or just use a different account?

Updated. Everyone who's commented has been added.

New user Android question, regarding pictures for contacts

Hey all, new HTC Legend owner here and am absolutely loving the phone, but jsut had a quick question. I went into gmail and assigned some contacts (since I sync from gmail for contacts list) some pictures so our SMS chats would look pretty. And they do look pretty, but I can't figure out how to assign an avatar to MYSELF.
What I mean is, take a look at this chat message I'm having with a friend

I don't use stock messaging app (I don't even have it installed), but I can tell you that handcent has option to add your picture.

[Q] Is this native video calling (settings)

I was playing around with ADW and I was adding a custom shortcut.
I went to ADW.Activities and was looking around for something fun to put on the home screen when I came accross a videocall.videocall intent under call settings
I will include screenshots for those who want to see it.
Is this a setup of sorts for native videocalling on the phone? Is this sprint only? Do other people have this on there phones?
The shortcut opens to a window with options for setting up how the phone handles video calls but I dont see anything in the phone anywhere about making a video call.
Any ideas.

P.S.
anyone who wants to see this on their phone should add a custom activity to their adw home screen and goto callSettings-->video call(videocall.videocall)
Weird, comes up on my phone too. Anybody have any info?

Someone should look this up on the Evo and see if it's either a Sprint thing or a Samsung thing.
It's an Android thing.

[Q] People App on Nexus 7: How to add 'connections' options

On my N7 in the People app (the address book), there is an option to add a connection... right now the only thing that appears there is Google +...

On my HTC Evo 4g from 2.5 years ago a similar function exists that also allows me to connect Facebook, twitter and flickr (and maybe others).
What controls which social sites are linkable from the add connection option in People on my N7?
Currently in the Accounts section of settings I have a Google, Facebook and Dropbox account setup...
FWIW...
Here is the data that HTC inserted into my address book to accomplish the linking:
id:1111118630/friendof:12411113734id:6911119548/friendof:1704444648
Note: actual numerical ID's modified for privacy reasons...
Thanks

It's done through the HTC skin, not a Google feature.
Edit: you can add in Facebook contacts. Check your accounts and under Facebook, sync contacts. HTC did great with their people integration, such as pulling in their Facebook pictures for contract images. Otherwise a third party app will be needed to simulate what you see from HTC.

Not today.
But a year from now.. Two years from now.
The g+model makes a lot more sense.

nope.
Did google+ kill facebook. Nope. But google+ in my eyes is a ton better.
The fact that G+ is a ghost town won't hamper that at allllllllllllllllllllllll.....
I've been reading about G+ communities all day but I still do not see how that would be conducive to forum layouts such as these. In its current state G+ Communities cannot properly segregate sections such as (development, themes, accessories, etc.) in a way that makes it usable the way we use this forum.
no. G+ is created for Google's benefit, not for yours.
Lol not even close. Anyways, does communities just seem like a public page to anyone else?

it seems pretty cool, but yeah, it's not a level of organization of a forum.

[Q] FB messenger SMS integration problem

Hi guys! Just got a GS4 after a long debate over the HTC one vs GS4. In my past, I had a WP7 Focus S and an Iphone.
I'm trying to get facebook messenger to integrate the sms function, but when I go to settings, there is no option to enable SMS/MMS integration. Is this just a problem on my end, or does the GS4 not have this ability yet?
Thanks so much! Looking forward to becoming an active user of these forums, and especially looking forward to GS4 bootloader unlock!
Can someone just look in their Facebook Messenger app and see if the ams option is there?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
I've figured out that if someone else signs in to fb Messenger on my phone the sms can be enabled. Anyone figure out how to enable it in a specific account?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
If I click on "text messaging (sms/mms)" above "info and accounts" I have these options:

Yep I don't have the sms option in the first place
