It's more "civil" to port from source rather than hack/pack from a pre-built image..
The most someone can do with the currently available images is a proof of concept.. nothing more..

This is built from the SDK port for the HTC Sensation, combined with the boot.img and other data from the Cyanogenmod 7.1 Alpha 2.1 release for the TouchPad. I've replaced a bunch of the files in an effort to get it to boot, but no dice so far.
Also, I can't seem to get my TouchPad to restore from a Clockwork backup - it works, but it blackscreens and hard-reboots just like this does.
Would love for some help getting it up and running.

EDIT: SOURCE CODE HAS DROPPED. This is just a fun little toy at this point.
I hope you modified the boot.img you pulled from CM.

If you need Flash, download the Browser from the Google Play Store app.
Sounds to me like the stock ICS browser can be downloaded. Though Flash will not being available on Play after August 15. So best to do this quick.

No idea. I use Dolphin. I can't tell you or anyone else exactly how any particular app is going to react. You just have to find out for yourselves.

PA is building toward 4.2, but is a kludge of 4.1.2, and 4.2. Since they are concentrating on specific devices and not paying much attention to other devices, such as the TP, they are merging in a way that breaks other devices. At the moment, our build is broken because some 4.2 merge didn't pay attention to other device commits.
I recently ported an aokp ROM made by ATGAdmin for the nexus 4 which was working perfectly and I thought it would be nice to have on the u8800pro too. The ROM is still in alpha and I have a lot of problems and exams too and not much time to work on the ROM itself. Anyone interested on helping me pm me./ PA3.50 still not public

Thanks.

As of the Android 4.2.2 update, when you connect your phone to a computer, you are presented with your computer's RSA key fingerprint to open the adb connection. You also have the ability to permanently trust the computer, so you don't have to repeat this step upon every re-connect.
In order for this to work, you must be on the latest SDK which will grant you an updated 'adb' binary.
We will not be introducing any functionality to sidestep this default security, so if you don't update, you will lose the ability to access the device using adb.
Hi!
Thanks for the information, but I already have the latest SDK installed.
The problem could be in the Rom. Because IT have enabled adb under developer options, but still there is nothing about adb in the status bar when I connect the phone to the computer. There is also no mass storage notification!

Yeah, it's supposed to be more efficient. But all I'm going to say is I got 4.4 on the Nexus 7 and it uses 615mb of RAM while not doing anything. (as in only Settings app and keyboard running). Not sure if it's just because it's an early version or something's wrong.
Is that worse than JB?

Ah, well maybe it was something wrong. It's now down to 425mb of used ram while "idling". It's a bit better than JB.
Maybe because each one is optimized per device? Mine shows about 600-700 Range while only the system runs. My friend has the 2012 version and has about 400 while only system runs.

Dude, I can't wait for Kitkat on the Kindle Fire!
And as to the question of different memory usages at idle, I read on google's dev site that there's an API that allows apps to use more or less RAM for fancy features or whatnot based on weather the device is a low-ram-device....
From developer.Android.com:
For developers, Android 4.4 helps you deliver apps that are efficient and responsive on all devices. A new API, ActivityManager.isLowRamDevice(), lets you tune your app's behavior to match the device's memory configuration.

There is a euroskank build up (the thread's in KF General) but it won't work with any of our recovery options. Other devices got it to flash by switching to CWM Touch, which we don't have and COTR doesn't work either. Hash posted in one of the 4.3 threads about working on 4.4 though; I'm confident he can figure something out.
