Hello!
I got a new phone - xperia x8, So I don't know how to use it.
The problem is that I can't find the memory card in the phone, I mean, at the options. (memory card of 2GB)
I used the USB and put some files that I download, but I can't find them in the phone.
Please help!
Get a file explorer from the market, such as Astro or ES. You can browse your card with that.
And your problems or question, in the Q&A section please.

when you connect to pc via usb cable choose disc drive on phone and wait for pop up
you can then put apk files onto sd card then disconnect and navigate to apk with file explorer, open and install,
you will also have to check unknown sources in applications settings
If you are using normal froyo app2sd. Settings > applications > manage applications > go to an app and pick move to sd.
But are apps in SD slower than apps in phone?
If you have a slow sd card and the app has to support froyo app to sd

Since all the apps cant be installed to sd card, therefore i recommend you download "app2sd enabler" from the market. after downloading it, just go to settings>applications>manage applications. and you can move you desired apps to sd card.
I have done it with the following tutorial

good luck !

I just told you, read my post above... if you have an ext partition and app2ext enabled, they move auto to your sd, you need to darktremmor for this.

If you do the following MOD, Applications which support them self to install in SD card will automatically goes to SD card.

Applications which do not have support must be installed to phone first and then have to moved to SD card through Application Manager.
Hi everyone,
I just got my Iconia Tab. It's rooted and has clockwork recovery. I'm trying to figure out how I can see the external SD card (which is installed) on my PC so that I can install custom Roms and kernels. The only way I can do this is by installing a zip from the SD Card, not from the internal memory.
Thanks.
You can't yet. So copy to internal and then use any file explorer (astro, es file explorer, etc) to copy it over to /mnt/external_sd
Well that's annoying. Even archos could get that feature to work on my internet tablet. Oh well, I'm sure its coming soon.

You know, someone posts this every week. Maybe a search would have helped... anyways, each time I try to respond, maybe no one wants a real (and easy) solution.
Droid Explorer, install on your PC. Use it. Profit.
Listen, I always attempt to find an answer before posting a question. I try on Google, and then on the xda search. Sorry that I didn't find anything or feel like going through pages of threads to find an answer. Also, thanks for the suggestion.

Since you are already rooted give the Virtuous Xoom ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167391 a chance to land on your tablet.
Its HC 3.2 based and you'll see the external SD card w/o modifying anything. Cake
Hi. I am actually a Captivate owner with a Fascinate question. I was able to install Mame4Droid on my Captivate after placing the ROMs into the phone itself. I was unable to install the program onto the microSD card for some reason, but in the end, it didn't matter since I was able to access the folders on the phone.
I tried to do the same with the Fascinate, but was unable to access the phone memory files like I was able to do on the Captivate. I tried to move it to the microSD card, but like the Captivate, I was unable to see the files on the microSD card. I installed the drivers from Samsung onto the computer, but I could only access the microSD card rather than the phone memory. Is it possible to access the phone memory file system to place the files into the right place on the Fascinate without rooting?
Thanks
Idk try question and answer section?

The fascinate doesn't have accessible onboard storage.

Oh. I see. What a bummer. Now I don't know how to get the ROM's where they need to go since I can't get it to recognize the SD card...
