Manufactuers need to comment on 4.1 plans - Xperia Arc General

As clearly anyone in the market for a phone right now, that doesn't answer "will it get Android 4.1" won't be looking at the ones that don't have that answer.
If Sony really want to be top-dog in the Mobile market, then they needed to have their initial list of phones that will be getting JB available the moment it was announced. Even if it's a partial list that gets added to later, it's what consumers want.

Not trying to be a mod, but you could have posted this in the already open jelly bean thread?

PS - Sony will never be top dog in the mobile phone market, they're not even competitive.

New forum dedicated to Nexus

Hi!
Just wanted to let everyone know, that i setup another forum dedicated only for the Google Nexus Owners. XDA-Developers is still the perfect place to be, but you can also share you're passion for the Google Nexus One at this forum..
www.SetupNexus.com At the bottom of the site there is a link for the forum...
Its brandnew and fresh - I hope everyone is willing to help me build it up...
For the people at XDA - If the commercial here is not okay, i ofcourse accept you guys deleting it..
I'm pretty sure it's not cool to advertise other sites here.
Also, i think you need a t instead of a d on:
"Site is Currently being build" (built)?

Android & Me Confirms Rollout of 2.2 Froyo Yesterday

Just passing along some news that people may already know about. The 2.2 update is around the corner or already here.
hxxp://androidandme.com/2010/06/news/nexus-one-receives-final-froyo-build-via-ota-update/
Does this mean FRF83 is the final build?
Man, really? Another post on this?
Did you guys hear that Froyo is official now?
I had a chat with them and they only base this on the fact that it's the same build with the release of the code to AOSP.
Of course I told them that's not enough.
Lock.

[*Warning!*]Virus Threat inside the Marketplace?]

This user post this on GS2 forum, and wanted to share with everyone here too. But he is claiming to have a "virus" inside the "Market Place" if you update to the latest version.
Share his thread if it is a possible threat, great day all!

Not sure why anyone would donwload those "apps" to begin with. They didn't make any sense. Ever since Market turned into Play, this is the first time I've really heard of threats I'd viruses in the Market. Thanks for the heads up.

There is a reason Lookout Security exists, and it's free unless you want to pay for cloud back-up services.

Ya... Old news.... Let's see how long it takes to start hitting the US area...
I've already decided to stick with my custom rom setup... It's still probably going to be better than anything Samsung will push out.

You are not the first one that posted this. They only started updating the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. The rest is going to follow. No one knows how long this will really take.
If I'm seeing one more of this kind of threads I'm gonna lose it.
There is already a thread for discussing ICS, continue all further discussion there.

New play store update

Stumbled upon this information about the play store and decided to jump into it on my dna. The new look they gave the play store looks really nice in my opinion. So far I don't think anyone has gotten the update from Google yet they must be holding out on rolling it out, as I haven't gotten it on my nexus 7 yet. The new version runs quick and reminds me of the 2.x version. Just thought I would let you guys know about it over here.
