I'm curious to see how the Google Docs (Drive) app looks on this device.
So far I've been less than impressed with editing spreadsheets via Google Docs on my Android device so far...
Anyone seen any videos of this? YouTube searches turned up nothing.
Thanks!
I hate editing Google Drive spreadsheets on my SGS2. It feels so primitive and lags very often. This is definitely an issue that I hope does not persist in Jelly Bean on the N7.

I see my thread is in the Q&A section, so I guess a 'Thanks' is owed for moving it... If you didn't move it, well then, it was already in the Q&A section ...
Here is a screenshot of the Google Drive UI editing a doc

Works ok with bluetooth keyboard!
For me, it sucks. The desktop view through Drive is better though. But really...what can we expect from a spreadsheet on a mobile device?

This might be the wrong section but I put a few videos on my google drive and tried playing them on my N7 and I get an error message. Anybody know how I can fix this or can't it be fixed? Thanks

This may be in the wrong area but it seems like this could be incorporated into more than just pics (maps, etc). Has anyone tried this? Im not a developer and have no idea what to do with this.
I'll pose a question though, could this be made into an apk for a quick install? If someone knows of a good tutorial for hardcore noobs I will definitely do it myself.
Just download the "Sony Ericsson Tutorial" app from the market for a demonstration
I did and its not the demo I after. I want it running in maps and for viewing pics.

As I understand it, everything runs from an initial source code. That code needs to be compiled using Android sdk?? And they mention eclipse, what is that?
Edit: and from what I read the source code for it is there

Oh I see
If it can be done - then excellent - I presume the app would need to hook all the screen presses and then emulate the zoom in\out buttons.
Unfortunately I am also like yourself, a newbie

Since I haven't been able to get CNN to work what news app do you guys recommend? I know Google currents is cool and I use it but I am also looking for something with a great widget since I have the space for it now.

Have you guys looked at the new Google Currents? I played around with it last night, and I have to say was very impressed. I think I will be using this instead of Pulse now. Though Pulse is another awesome consolidated news feed app.
I have both pulse and flipboard. I like flipboard because it helps me find new things and I like pulse because it has the sources I want to see.
Threads about apps go in the Themes & Apps section
Personally I much prefer Pulse to Flipboard on my Galaxy Tab.
They really need to add search to the xda app.
I searched from chrome and Google but didn't find this, although logic tells me is been asked and answered before.
When I open Google+ and click on a posted video, I get a box asking if I want to open it with Google+ or chrome.
My mom's Nexus 7 just goes ahead and opens it with chrome. She may have previously selected chrome at some point (thought I have my doubts that she would select"always"). I want to change hers to open with Google+, but I can't find anything under settings.
My Nexus is rooted but hers isn't, though I don't see how that would make any difference.

Go to system Settings, Apps, Chrome, and clear defaults.
Thanks. Seems to have worked.
Sorry if that had been asked a few dozen times.

Guys I'm hoping someone can explain the following.....
I was looking for a simple RSS reader, I'm sat next to my mate, he's got a gnex too and suggests greader by Google inc, I can see it on his phone and in his market.
I've searched my play store and have a greader app but it's by noinnion even though the asp looks similar to the ogival Google product
Either way I cannot see the original Google version of the reader and he can? Why is this?
Were both in the same geographical area, same os version build, bought them from the same place and have the same regional settings etc but I get totally dif search results
Wtf?!

Hi this is a repost, ( I tried posting this in the general android Q&A, but got no answers ) So here this is again. I tried searching for similar questions to this, but didnt find anything, so thats why i wanted to make a new post. So I was trying to play different kinds of games on the web, for example, flash games, but (maybe as you could have guessed), I couldnt bring up the keyboard for the input box. So, my question was, if there was anyway to bring up the android keyboard manually, (or forcefully) to be able to type in the box?? Oh and Im trying to find a solution for this problem doing all this on my Nexus 4 with jelly bean 4.2.2
