no vibration in lockscreen - GT540 Optimus General

hey guys i am using sdsl 2.1 and there is no vibration in lockscreen even in pattern lock there is no vibration even if i enable tactile feedback so what to do

I noticed that on a VERY large number of ROM's. I believe it is a bug in the ROM, so you should just try another ROM. I think Mur4ik's worked - but he left, so the thread will be at the bottom somewhere

froyo lockscreen feedback

Is there a way to simply disable the heptic feedback on the lockscreen without replacing jar files and whatnot? I tried google and the market but doesn't seem to find what I'm looking for. Much appreciated!
i do not know your problem. sr
What I mean is that on the stock 2.2 froyo lockscreen, there are two small vibration when you go to unlock the screen. I was wondering if there's a possibility to disable the vibration without having to get rid of the lock screen entirely.

[Q] Is there a way to remove the vibration when sliding unlock bar?

Just curious, I am using RG, and have used CM7R1 and R2. This feature has really annoyed me, anyway to disable it?
you could lower haptic feedback in cm, thats all i think.
sorry! :/

[q] Gingerbread lockscreen

sorry if its been discussed before but I can't find it anywhere via search.
here goes, during sgs' time with eclair, I recalled having set a pattern lock and when i turn the screen on, it would require me to slide to unlock first then proceed to pattern (similar to iphone set up)
nowadays on stock gingerbread rom, it no longer shows the main slide to unlock screen, instead it jumps straight to pattern/pin unlock screen. Reason I brought this up is that I did prefer the previous setup to see date, time and charge % left (also setting up a lockscreen wallpaper only works in the slide to unlock screen only)
does anyone know how to return it back to normal?
thanks

I'm pretty sure that it shows all that /(time, battery, date) and you could change the lockscreen wallpaper by going to : Settings > Display > Wallpapers and then Lockscreen Wallpapers....
Are you running stock ROM/kernel no EDT tweaks etc?
On my Juwe ROM the only problem I could find was that the lockscreen was transparent, thus showing the wallpaper you have on the homescreen instead of the one you have chosen in the settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, this came about on jvk then jvp rom, no tweaks etc
What happens is if i select no password required it shows the default lockscreen.
The moment i set up a pin or pattern lock, the lockscreen doesnt appear anymore, itvjumps straight to enterin pin or pattern screen, im pretty sure this happens to everyone else on stock gingerbread...

[Q] don't disable lockscreen widgets on low memory devices

Is this patch applied to our Defy's CM? Link: review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/57572/ (please copy and paste. I'm not able to post links )
I'm currently using TJKV's SlimKat most recent build and Torch is the only widget that I'm used to have in lockscreen, it's very useful. However, lockscreen widget is disabled when I activate the "low memory option" in Aero Kernel. Could someone request it in the development thread? I'm not able to post in there yet.
Thanks!

@TJKV
Could you please take a look at the OP?
It has a request to keep lockscreen widgets enabled even when low memory option is activated. According to sevenrock's reply to my question, Quarx has already merged the patch to his tree. I have SK 3.85 flashed in my device, but when I activate the low memory option, the Torch widget in my lockscreen disappears, along with the Setting->Security->Widgets option.
Thanks!
Thanks for the (six) PM(s)!
Yes Quarx has merged it in automatically when he merged the cyanogenmod changes from upstream. ie the CM devs have implemented it. So here the slim devs have to add it, not me. I haven't forked settings app, that's why. You could ask them though. What is the issue, you know about the the double tap and hold the lockring for torch option? Under Security->Sider targets&shortcuts?
Sorry man... I had error messages for each time I tried to send you a PM, so I thought it was not working Nothing shows up in my message history as well.
Didn't know about this option, but I normally disable the slider since I prefer to start tapping my PIN code as soon as I turn the screen on. What I'm used to do is to keep a Torch widget accessible from sliding the lockscreen to the right (sliding to the left I have the camera widget). Thank you for the clarifications anyway! :good: SK builds are working like a charm!!

Vibration problem

There's a way to port miui to other custom rom? I don't like the 90% of custom rom vibration (only pe/pe+ has vibration like miui) and so I'm forced to comeback to miui because for me vibration is very important. I hope that someone can help me.
I have the same issue, MIUI uses a different set of vibration strength, nice to read that PE has the same as MIUI, i think it's a limit of some custom ROMs or just an ignored but important detail (like the lockscreen or recents panel rotation always enabled...), i'm following this thread too.
No one can help me?
