By default CM does not show the lock screen. If you want one, you must turn it on. Go to settings, lockscreen and look at the setting to turn it on.
Edit: That was for CM9. For CM7 go to settings, cyanogenmod settings, lockscreen.

You are right, I could not get it to work with cyanogenmod settings. But there is another group of lock settings in Location and Security. I did not try those. You might try.

I have been using widget locker lockscreen replacement for a long time now. I just upgraded to the stable release of cyanogenmod 7 and wanted to test drive out the new lockscreen options. but when i disabled my alternative lockscreen the cm one wont activate. ive even uninstalled the replacement, but i still get nothing. I cant find anywhere in the settings that would turn on the lockscreen. any help?

So.... it might be here... it used to be: Settings > CM Settings > Tablet tweaks > Disable (or enable) lockscreen.

It's a weird place for that option.
It has option to only show mobile numbers. That's the only thing I'm missing from CM7. Is it possible? Could I just overwrite the stock app with one pulled from CM7?

I replaced the stock mms.apk with the one from CM7. It worked, but as soon as I chose settings it force closed on me. Even after a reboot. The Messaging Icon also disappeared from the dock. I went back to the stock mms.apk but the Icon is still gone. Anyone know haw to fix that?
Never mind. I went into applications, pressed menu soft button and dragged the messaging icon into the dock. Geewiz 2.3 ROM.

Did you try pulling the one from comrom? It may work for you.
You need to change some resource id's for it to work properly. There are several things that won't match up. It should still work for most basic functions, but images and stuff won't match up properly between the cm7 framework and tw framework.
I searched for CM10 screen rotate, and all I saw were a bunch of threads saying it was enabled. Which makes me wonder...
I'm on CM10, have been for a day or so. REALLY great rom, esp for an Alpha release. But my screen doesn't rotate. I've tried checking and unchecking Settings>Display>Rotation to no effect.
Apps that require landscape will do so, but I can't get it to do it on demand. I feel certain I'm missing something, but don't know what it might be.
Any suggestions?
If you are using a launcher such as Nova or Apex, there are auto-rotate settings that must be turned on.

There is a setting under Accessibility that toggles rotation. Make sure 'Auto-rotate screen' is checked.

Yep. That one was checked. However...

That one wasn't. I knew it was something simple.
What's really bad about all this is that it's the same launcher I use on my phone.
Thanks!
Fixed??

Did yours get fixed? Mine doesn't respond to the changes. Maybe I should reflash.

Yes, mine works now. If I turn the Nook, the orientation rotates as it's supposed to. A reflash may help I suppose, but check ALL your settings first (don't be like me!)
Settings>Display>Auto-rotate screen should be checked.
Settings>Accesibility>Auto-rotate screen should be checked.
And then look through the settings on your launcher to see if there's something in there holding things up. In Nova Launcher it's found in
Nova Settings>Look and Feel>Screen Orientation.
I'm pretty sure Apex has a similar setting, but I don't know where to find it. I had to check all 3 in order for the orientation to change as I turn my Nook.
hth
Yes, changing in all locations did the trick. Thanks.

I'm trying to set my lock screen wallpaper and when I try images from the gallery it won't set. It says saving but doesn't actually do anything. Seems like it only wants to use the stock wallpapers and even that sometimes didn't want to work. Anyone have this issue?

instead of trying to set the wallpaper through lockscreen setting go directly to the image you want and set it through there. probably will not work but it did once for me.

Wish I knew about this last night. Couldn't figure out how to fix it and ended up doing a factory reset. ?
Go to app. List in settings - All apps - search for Lockscreen - wipe cache, data and stop the app service...
Change the lockscreen wallpaper once again...
Worked for me..!!! ;-D

I've tried installing several custom lockscreen, currently using C-Locker. The problem is, occasionally the stock Samung lockscreen will appear. Sometimes it will get replaced in a second by the custom lockscreen and sometimes the stock lockscreen stays until I turn off the screen and turn it back on.
Is there a way to freeze/stop the stock lockscreen? or to make the custom lockscreen the ONLY lockscreen that see?
Thanks
Go to settings, search for lockscreen, set it from swipe to none. Simple
You're welcome.
