ANybody working on making the SD Card slot work?

Since this is a software deal, not hardware, any dev's out there working on this?

it doesnt work? haven't had need to throw a card in yet.. but it doesn't work? if so, haha
just saw how it doesn't work until later update... wow just another thing showing they rushed out the unfinished product haha

It's more unusual these days for a product to be released finished than not.

I'm working on it, but I'm not the most experienced android dev around so don't expect anything quickly, or at all.
Please don't PM me and ask for a timeframe, or if it's done. IF I get it working I'll be sure to post it on the forums.

Sort of... his device got bricked so he's not working on it at the moment.

Where is the SD card located? I was only able to find the SIM slot.

Same slot, top half is sd card.

He's back up, he just had to un lock it again.
Koush is working on this as well (well I think from his root blog post, he says something like he'll release cwm when either he or Google get the sdcard working).

DEMERITS of OFFICIAL ICS

1.PHONE-not having inbuilt contacts
2.LOGS-even after selecting only missed or only received or any choice,it reverts back to all calls
3.LOGS-call logs are not grouped together as in GB
4.BALANCE NOTIFICATION-there is no way out to disable vibration while getting the balance notication after sending sms or ending call
5.MARKET-most of the time apps are not downloading-COULDNT BE DOWNLOADED DUE TO ERROR 927
6.MARKET-apps which are suppoed to be put on SD CARD cant be downloaded
7.APPS-numerous force close
8.LOCKSCREEN-while waking the phone,homescreen appears for a fraction of second then lockscreen comes into action
9.t
TW LAUNCHER-numerous fcs
10.WIFI-sometimes it requires 2 clicks for opening wifi via notification pull down
11.SCREEN SENSITIVITY-V V V V HEAVYYYYY
12.TRANSFERRING DATA-files more than 20 mb cant pe pasted from phone to pc and vice versa
13.BATTERY-life is vvvv poor

PLEASE ADD ON FROM UR EXPERIENCE......

WE KNOW YOU HAVE SOME PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ICS, but most of us doesn't have those problems, so it's your own fault.
Do you think we do magic in here and says simsalabim and everything will be all fine with your ICS?

Hint. He have posted the same thing in an earlier post he made.
Then he posted the exact same in another post about the new LPS version, and then this one again.

Dissapointed official builds have no updated ICS themes. Also my WiFi disconnects a lot now.

Another small bonus from the GS3

Just watched the video from another link and a small benefit for me of the GS3 over the GS2 is that it looks like you can change the MicroSD card without removing the battery and therefore having to switch off the phone first. It seems you should just be able to unmount it from settings and then switch to another one. Cool!

yeah, its good, but at the cost of hot swappable sim card .

And why couldn't this have gone in the other thread about GS3 improvements over GS2. Seems appropriate to me..

Of course it is. As long as you don't have apps installed to sd, they won't work after swapping.

Official Jellybean is out for UK

This afternoon I managed to download OTA Jelly Beans for my new SIM free S3. I only received my S3 today and able to update it stright away. It seem to work well.

I'm sure you will see a couple more updates which are still 4.1.2. For instance, there should be an MR2 update coming soon enough if I've understood Samsung's update system right. Vodafone Germany got MR2 a few days ago and today England got MB1 (which has been around for some time in China/Taiwan).
