Doesn't matter. My nexus one is not a wolfson but sounds better than my international SGS3 with wolfson. There is a lot more to sound quality than just the DAC type.

Engadget did mention audio quality but no mention of wolfson DAC.
The audio quality on both phones is terrific. The external speakers (when placing calls and listening to multimedia) were more than sufficiently loud, and we were impressed by the fact that we could hear many of the music's little nuances -- bass and treble tones came out quite clear. Plugging in the headphones offers a very similar and equally pleasant experience, giving us wonderful clarity in our favorite tunes.

This is great news. My GF is on the fence about the next iPhone and the SGS3, with the Wolfson DAC, I can assure her the sound quality will be what she wants. I've already showed her she doesn't need iTunes to sync playlist with the Android, well technically we will since we'll need to import her playlists.
YES! Score one for AMERICA!

what about bootloader dizzle

So no thanks button for finding the info lol?

Ermm the quality of the nexus one speaker was awful. The quality of both headphones and the speaker are alot better on the galaxy s3. The beat my Sensation XE and ipod/ipad. Mind you I guess its mostly down to the headphones.

I don't believe this website... there is no proof. The author may have copied the contents from the gs3 international version and mistakenly wrote this. I'll believe supercurios tweet right now until the device is out.

Low Volume? Learn from Jack Bauer..use headsets!

i was watching season 8 of the popular TV Show '24'
and noticed how the protagonist 'Jack Bauer' CTU special agent always uses Headset when on missions.
imagine if he wasnt using headset....he could be killed in shooting..because his hands would be engaged..and he couldnt hear the conversation.
a very small detail..but improves our life so much.
how many times have you missed important details in between a phone call i.e you couldnt hear the other party because of outdoor noise?
using a headset improves our life so much:
-they project a much louder sound..so you can hear everything
-handsfree...you can take calls while getting off bus or trains
- using wired headsets is healthier...phone radiation has been shown to damage brain cells.
from tomorrow..i am not leaving house without a headset.
also gonna buy a bluetooth headset soon

Asus Shows off SonicMaster Sound Tech

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I was reading an article over at CNet and they mentioned something about the TFP having a SUB!? with a link to a demo of what it might sound like.
Here is the link.. If the tablet sounds like that, I will be so amazed.

FAke ! The soundtrack has obviously been redone ! They put the original music on the top of it ! xD
Kidding, but if the Prime sounds has good, well, I'm already sold but it would be sooooooooo awesome !

It won't sound that good.. that speaker is from a notebook... it should however trump easily over the current Transformer speakers.. They are really horrible.

Yeah I just hope it has a hint of bass and a decent soundstage.

Im sorry but iBeats and Beats period sucks.
For 150$ pair of earphones that the bass isn't even that good which is what their meant for and it goes in n out in one ear. ha for 75$ get the Klipsch s4 their the best for the bass and top of the line klipsch for earphones when it comes down to bass. And very durable.

Or some $10 in-ear headphones, almost all of these have great bass and clear audio since they don't have to be as amplified since they're closer to your ear drum.

I tried, but liked vodoo better, as this mod permanently increased some bass effect, with vodoo you can control it. But to most people it won't matter, as it works good enough without tinkering anything.
I use them together and I can notice a more clarity and bass. Of course I have a pair of $200 DJ headphones so maybe that helps
Also this isn't a port and doesn't belong in development. Thanks for posting it though, we follow the rules strictly over in the Captivate forums too.

It seems that the original link is gone, but I found this in the Epic 4G threads and wanted to give it a try. It's suppose to work for any Gingerbread rom, but I'm running ICS. I listened to a music track before flashing and then flashed the zip and it seems to sound clearer. It might be just a placebo.
If anyone wants to try this and see if it works, please see the attached flashable zip.

Go download Volume Booster from the play store. I included the link at the bottom.
After some trial and error this one seems to work the best on the galaxy s4. I turned it on and had to immediately turn my media volume down because it was too loud lol.

None of those apps have any effect. Volume booster just jumped my volume slider all the way up, which is where it was already. Im coming from the htc one...and that phone definitely pushed my headphones with the same chipset. I dislike having to max the volume because it introduces distortion. I think all EVO3d users jumped ship from HTC to Samsung because of that phone. No amount of roms or tweaks can save that phone.
Not sure if it still works.been out of the game for a while. You can try qpst. Its qcom. You'll need to download drivers. Don't mess around with it if you aren't very sure what you're doing. Not very user friendly. You can really mess things up. Cool program though.
