that old streak radio is a bit rustic and you need a installed fm_radio binary on your rom to make it work.I got the sources of FM_radio from fu0212 http://www.modaco.com/topic/318792-how-to-tune-a-fm-radio-station/page__st__180 and did some improvements. Namely: including the fm_radio binary into the apk, removing the need for bluetooth, an option to scan frequencies and using the mediabutton of the headset. I didn't get the volume control work properly and you will need a rooted streak, but it is nevertheless better than that old streak radio.

There are some CAB. files for your Herald. They work on other devices and on Herald also!!! You should know what they are for when seeing their names!
The CommButton-Toggle-Vibrate-Fix: After installing this, you can switch your Herald into Vibration Mode by Comm.button (press an hold in 3 seconds)
Dateandtime.cab: Date and time will be displayed both on the taskbar but depend on you, you want them to be shown all the time or only on Today screen.(settings=> system=> clock & alarm=> more...)
WM VI Batti: Your battery life is displayed on the top of taskbar. Very nice!
HTC_X-Button: Is this the same function as whats included in the HTC roms. Same but more functions! This is new version!

First and formost thanks for posting all these great files. I hope this thread continues to grow. I really like the audio manager cab; it is much improved over the audio manager that came with my herald. However I have a few questions on the files included by the OP.
The CommButton-Toggle-Vibrate-Fix: What exactly does it fix? My function seems to work perfectly.
Dateandtime.cab: I am assuming this is the date and time on the task bar all the time?
WM VI Batti: I have no idea what this is for
HTC_X-Button: Is this the same function as whats included in the HTC roms?
Soft Key Applet: I assume this allows one to change the softkeys.
Could someone please elaborate on these cabs?

I tried the Audio Booster file on my Wizard and it changed the skin on HTC Audio Manager. It also wouldn't allow me to check the box to activate the equalizer, so there was no sound change. Can someone check to see if there are extra settings needed to make this work?

After installing this, at first you tip on the small frame 'Equalizer' than you choose the type of equalizer (classic, normal, bass Booter...) on the under frame and than the frme on the right. it allows you to change and activate the equalizer!

Seems to work fine on mine. As to your earlier post answering my questions about the cab files. My 4350 has always went into vibrate mode when pressing the comm button. Perhaps earlier roms didn't.

Sorry but it still doesn't work. The box next to the equalizer cannot be checked and furthermore, when the settings are changed on the equalizer, the sound does not change. My gut feeling is that some registry settings are missing, but I don't have a Herald, so I have no idea if this is device specific or not.
Hello,
I have been working on a new audioswitch app to replace troca2 and audioswitch.
I have started to make a new app called audioswitch v2 but soon ran out of time... and xiexin1008 got the project and had made and new experimental app.
Today, I had some free time, and made other app with a "switchclass" that deal with all the ril stuff(based on my first class that is on the Xiexin project), so others can improve and use it even as a dll in c#(u have to build it as a dll first)
I called it "simple audioswitch".
How it works: run the program and "put it on the background"
volume "up and down" switch the audio.
volume "down and up" close the app.
if an incomming call shows up, the audio will be routed back.
I have tested it only in my p3301. so I do not know if it works or not in other phones.
Once more the license:
It is free code, free binaries, and all work derived from it.
use at your own risk and I am not responsible for nothing...
Support on the forum.
-------------------------------------------------------
about the various methods of switch the audio...
mostly uses drivers messages.
u can find very useful information about it at www.teksoftco.com, even a audio driver wrapper that spy at audio messages.
by this time it is not for me, too busy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
will open sorce of this app so others can inprove it.
Thanks to Xiexin, I will not post his work now, will wait for his email.
Thanks Dan-Marius to all the feedback.
Thanks.
Hop u like. sorry for the messy code(is an one hour work).
@MarceloFB
The ideea of listeninng RIL for incomming calls is a very good one! Congratulation, you did a great job. Yes, a really great one.
The simpleAudioSwitch.cab file is attached.
Guys, it works very fine.
Thank you Marcelo!
I tried this program and I like using hardware keys pattern to change audio. I like the most that I don't have to change the way buttons worked before. this is the best solution I saw till now.
But there's is still a problem. It seems all programs of this sort use same procedure to route audio. But when audio is routed in my phone it seems it doesn't come from internal speaker. Or maybe not exclusively from internal speaker.
Sound still can be heard from external speaker but quieter.
So I can say now that we have good user interface but routing mechanism needs to be improved.
I have HTC Touch Cruise with 3LIT3 FULL ROM

The "routing mechanism" is using RIL lib, by now thre is no other "easy avaliable" way to rout the audio.
Try changing the radio or the entire rom of your phone, I have tested in touch cruise this method and works fine, but with the stock rom.
can you please tell me which ROM, radio and protocol version have you tried it with, so I can try the same and compare with this one I have?

Great app.
Just started using it on my HTC Touch HD with Dutty ROM v3.3. It seems as though Up & Up switches the audio for me (not up and down). Down and Up exits the app.

Request
Hi,
I still use the old version with mortscript to control the program and I love it .
I have a request for this new version.
1 - Can we decide which key controls the audio switching ? ( Since I have a Fuze and I have a PTT button which I never use )
2 - also is it possible to add the bluetooth handfree to audio switch options as well ? sometime when I'm driving I love to use my voip or skype over 3G using my bluetooth handfree .
Sincerely
Thunder
Will there be a new version, which is working with Skype 3.0 mobile beta?
I am having problems trying to get this to work with my Benq e72 phone running Windows Mobile 5.
I am trying to use it at the same time as Ageet Agephone mobile 2.76.
http://www.ageet.com/us/products-agephone-mobile.htm
It seems like Agephone mobile 2.76 takes over controls of the volume up and down button. When I push the up and down volume control button it just wants to change the volume and not switch the speaker/earpiece - I can't get Audioswitch to work. [Maybe I am not doing something simple properly?] But at least it installs correctly.
So then I try AudioRoute http://www.teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1995
Unfortunately this won't install properly - it says something like:
installation file is not intended for this device

I have tried modifying the cab file like it says here on the teksoftco forum:
I'm also a creator of WinMo apps (www.saman-cz.com), so I know that recreating cab is just a piece of cake.
But OK. To modify cabinet get WinCE Cab Manager (trial is good enough), open cab, go menu Cabinet->Properties, Operating System tab, set minimum version to 5.0 and maximum to 9.9, hit Ok, then File->Save
Just another result from my tests:
After restarting phone I tried rerouting once more and the microphone worked well. Weird but nice

Well you cannot costumize it fully.
This wm build has some crappy things....
Mem Leak (Not a big problem with huge RAM)
Start menu (Only Move on top)
Start button is hard to reach by one hand. (Latest build has it below)
Extra battery (Some in rom tweaks for better bat)
Speed (Latest build gives some extra speed, extra is always better)

Do you know where the memory leak is coming from? Usually Opera and Internet Explorer are the main causes of memory leak on WM devices but without using it I wouldnt know. I always use Advanced Config Tool to tighten things up as much as I can I dont know if that will be of any use but its worth having a look at the options.
I never did like WM6.5 but I guess its something I will have to get to grips with. I use QuickMenu at the moment with my kaiser but that will be absolutely no use with no stylus and no d-pad. Im also going to have to get used to Resco Explorer in the finger friendly mode

What makes you say that? Browsers consume a lot of memory, but that doesn't necessarily constitute a memory leak.
LEt's stay on topic guys.
Mem leaks are everywhere.
Just need a good build, that can handle them.

Same here.
This is by design, if you look at:
http://git.linuxtogo.org/?p=groups/...;hpb=eed82a0f77f367b929f51cc59e6c64a68a06256a
you can see that there are two new defines: HTCLEO_KEYMAP_DPAD and HTCLEO_KEYMAP_ANDROID. This was done to enable dpad control for software that doesnt support pure touchscreen devices. As there are no other changes, I would suggest using the previous image until the default define is KEYMAP_ANDROID.

The 8/28 version seems to have solved this problem (broken keypad buttons).

I can recommend you switch to the latest version of XDAndroid that is based on Froyo, and also add the 3D package that have it's own topic here.
You can play Angry Birds with XDAndroid and the 3D-package, however it will not be speedy with our Blackstones.
With XDAndroid you can hold down the power button and choose to Power Off. After that, restart your phone by pressing the power button and it will boot to WinMo.

You have to make sure your device is using the right libs for WiFi (I learned it the hard way myself a couple of post ago, having predefined a setting that would not change...) See this excellent post for more info about the right settings with WiFi: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10022403&postcount=152
Also, Android might not detect your operator right, so you have to enter Settings and change your operator and *Data* provider accordingly.
It's a bit difficult right now since there are different developers taking somewhat different ways, but reading these forums and HTC IRC LINUX will make it all clearer. Devs are always working on different stuff, and they are doing a great job. Just watch the IRC or forums for news.
