As it says... I wanted to listen to my incoming tracks today, but the play buttons justhighlight orange and then that's it. Mobile version makes me wonder why anyone would bother (No download, different tracks, having to go back to play next track etc...)
I'm on ICS with flashplayer 11, this is with dolphin HD and also ICS browser+ . . .
I just checked and I can play tracks using the play button from my Dashboard on the desktop version of the site on Dolphin HD.
I'm on LPF ROM with speedmod kernel
I usually use the soundcloud app though. I like the notifications you get, and the player in your notification area. It automatically plays the next track too.

Which version of Flashplayer are you using? I did see that someone else left a bad review about the latest update, saying that nothing but youtube worked in the browser (I've not found that to be the case, iPlayer works fine for me...)
EDIT:
Just downloaded the soundcloud app. Ugh... No download, no 'Dashboard' (only incoming songs, and not those which have been favourited by people you follow..)
In case you haven't guessed I have a serious dislike of 'Apps' which, roughly translated come down to 'annoyingly crippled versions of websites you frequent'..
Flash player v11.1.115.11
When I go into the play store there are no updates for it.
Maybe try clearing the cache and data for Dolphin and/or flash player...

I have tested 3 different roms, but all of them have a problem: when my vibrant plays some of mp3 files, there are lags during playing. It is just like a sudden pause with wired sounds during the mp3 is playing, but only some of the mp3 files have this problem, others are normally played. I have posted this on other forum and many people says they have the same problem with me.
Have anyone know how to solve this problem?
I'm having that to since I switched to 2.2 roms. I've only been using obsidian so I can't speak from experience using them but I get random pauses while listening to music. The song is still playing but there's no sound for a few seconds.
You're not alone... lol

I have tested eugene's unofficial rom, obsidian, the new Jk6, but all of them have this kind of problem, I found a few threads discussing this problem, I tried deleting wigets on screen and killing apps, but don't work................maybe this is a feature of 2.2 ?
I have not noticed this? I'll try and play MP3's all during lunch.... anything I need to do to try and recreate, or just play a few songs?
This problem has often been attributed to the stock music player. Discontinue it's use and see if the problem continues. There are a plethora of suitable media player replacements in the Market (free & paid). Search these forums if you'd prefer some suggestions as they're plentiful.
I've noticed that jk6 is better in this regard. It's not widgets; in the past it's been most noticeable when changing connectivity, I.e. turning on wifi.

I have tried a third party media player, but the same result happened. Maybe I should try more third party media player?

Sorry,I don't quite understand what is the stock one?
Try using poweramp music player. It's in the app market. It's a paid app, but you can try it for free for about a week or two before the trial runs out.

Whenever someone refers to the word stock that means factory. For example: stock rims on a car means the rims that came with the car from the factory/dealer. Stock music player means the music player that the phone came with out of the box. No 3rd party app

from android market you can download winamp. it works.
Hi,
Anyone have problem with Soundcloud app from market? on my DHD if I choose mix to listen I can only get 6-7 min and then mix starts again..everytime..and I can't skip through mix forward or backward..any idea?
Just tested Soundcloud on my DHD, and have roughly the same problem. Or well, it seems that I can play through mixes fine, but I can't skip through any mixes myself. Weird problem.
Perhaps an app issue and not a phone issue?
Well i hope it's a app bug and it is going to be fixed in next update, cause i just checked on market and I saw lot of people have the same prob like me..it's really anoying cause i used it a lot..
One question more..when you go on SC through web browser, how it works? I can only get sound through default web browser,(through dolphin and other no way to get sound) but if I move page during playing sound stops and I can start music again only if I refresh page and press play again..

I am looking for a way to queue up music to play after whatever is playing now.
Either by finding a good Music Playing App that will allow me to queue up tracks OR by customizing the stock music App. I'd rather customize the stock App as I like the way it works.
Any ideas? I have searched the forum extensively for this - have I missed it somewhere?
doubletwist
Doubletwist player allows to queue up music.
Could always try winamp for android http://www.winamp.com/android
Thanks I will check those out!
Anyone seen any way of customizing the stock music player to do this?
Poweramp also allows you to Queue a song for playback.
The stock music app does this

MixZing does that

PlayerPro also allows you to easily change the song order. It's kinda pricy (get the trial first), but you wouldn't regret using it. Tried many others, always came back to it. And IIRC, TTPod also has this. Haven't used it for quite some time, so I might be wrong. Just experiment.
Does this thing multitask? If I open any browser and play music from a website, then open another tab, the music stops from the first tab with msg "stopping audio player". If I play music from Sirius App and minimize to start browsing, the music stops with msg "stopping audio player". My SII phone works fine, but the tab won't let me play Sirius app and browse at the same time.
Interesting, sounds like an issue with sirius. Of course the tablet should multi task though.

Any music website stops playing when I open another tab. It doesn't matter which browser I use, I've tried them all.
Then use Pandora. Its an app and it never stops playing.
Have you tried a different browser? I don't think that will work but it is worth a shot. Also, I think that browsers were made to work this way (When browsing another page all tasks on the current tab is paused) to keep memory and CPU usage down when browsing.
It makes sense, not sure if that is 100% correct though.
Siriusxm app android "stopping audio player" when minimizing!?!?
I have the same issue, but it is with the siriusxm android app and not a browser, on my samsung galaxy s3. As soon as I minimize, I get the message "stopping audio player". I have ATK but I have siriusxm as an ignore app, so that it is not forced closed. There is no setting on the siriusxm app that allows for any multitasking option. My default android music player can play in the background as I play a game or browse the internet, but the siriusxm app shuts down as I minimize it..... frustrating!
Anyone else having this issue, and what could be the cause and/or solution? Thanks in advance
UPDATE ----
Found the fix in another forum, under Settings - Developer Options - Do not keep activities, just uncheck and restart ----- BOOM it works, yeah!! Thx for the reply necktru!
In my P3110, the application of music stops just open another audio source, whether for web or aplicaccion youtube, I tried to PowerAMP and the Apollo, and all feel the same, and is only for the issue of multiple audio applications
So now with songza gone. I tried to using google play music on my Nexus player but it seems to be stuck on an old version. 5.9.1854R when the current version is 6.3.2317v. And I need that version to get the Songza playlist items that have now been incorporated into google play music.. but my nexus player will not update.. it tells me my old version is current. Any one else having this issue?
I have noticed the same thing. The only thing I was able to do to get the streaming playlists on the NP right now was to cast from Google Play Music on an Android device. Google should have planned this better.
Hmmm yea just realized this as well.
Ya I also just did a force install of the latest google play music APK and it just crashes when you open the program. Wonder when they will fix this...
Was coming on to post the same results.. Wonder if play services needs to be updated as well?
I just subscribed for a month and it showed up, so it seems to be just a paid service

songza features are free I can use them on my phone and tablet and even goto the website and use it like songza worked... for free.. Its just not working on the nexus player or Android TV interface.
I'm having the same problem. Works fine on all my other devices. I'm in Canada, in case this may be a regional thing.
My subscription expired. and access to the streaming gone as well
Hello guys
Try to clear cache and app data, worked for me. Using stock Android 7.0 and latest GPM version.
