I would like to reset the TPT back to the stock ROM.
Therefore I am also looking for a android backup for my WE Thinkpad Tablet (32GB).
The Android version doesn't matter.
It would be great if anyone could upload his/her NANDROID backup with the stock ROM!
Thank you in advance!

dev = developer rom. it means it may not be fully functional and they are still actively working on it as a group.

Stock non-rooted ics to jb upgrade, backup/restore apps and data

Hello all, a totally stock 8013, never rooted.
I use it for work so I would appreciate the best way of backing up and restoring that will get my app data, and background and apps back on my tablet as quick and easy as possible.
I would use Titanium backup but again not root which makes my table a great candidate for upgrade.
Thanks for the advice!

You shouldnt lose any apps when you update so I think itll be ok.
yes if you upgrade from ICS or any previous version to 4.1.2 You will not loose any data
If your device is upgraded by the OTA update you will for sure not loose any date
To use titanium back to back and restore you need to be rooted

[Q] Best Rom for SGN3 SM-N9005?

You've been around XDA long enough to know 'best ROM' posts are not welcome...
Best way to update though is to be rooted and use a custom Recovery like TWRP to nandroid your phone. Then you can update and Restore only Data and have almost everything back.
I also use Call logs backup and restore and SMS backup and restore so i don't lose them and I export my contacts out to extSDCard so I don't lose them either.
Add in TiBu Pro with a backup of all user (and a few sysdtem) apps and I can restore ONLY apps and have a clean flash phone.

Different ROMs suit different needs. The Mods have said no ETA posts and no best ROM posts. Look around and try things out. Best advixce is make sure you read plenty FIRST. Go through the threads and see what issues people have etc. BEFORE you flash the ROM.
Alright, thanks!

Better Backup Please! Is there anything better than Nandroid?

Folks,
I'm running TruePureXMM 2.4.
Yesterday I was standing in line paying for lunch and was holding people up behind me digging for a credit card in the bottom of my purse. My husband has Apple Pay on his new Iphone. I was a little jealous, so I tried installing Android Pay. Nothing worked. I tried suggestions here and on other forums. I ended up bricking the phone.
RANT: I'm hating google strongly now. Our relationship has been a love/hate one anyway. They pride themselves on advancing technology, but have no problem hindering it. If they're so danged worried about lawsuits, fix the security problems.
Many thanks and kudos to Clark of Clark"s Restock Tool. It saved the day.
My other issue is with Nandroid. My backups should have worked. I used Nandroid when I was using a Motorola Atrix HD running Cyanogenmod Kitkat. It worked great when I did something stupid or an app misbehaved. I upgraded to Moto X Pure at Christmas because the cell radio was failing.
Even after bringing the phone back to TruePure Marshmallow yesterday, my backups didn't work. Is Nandroid not compatible with TruePure? Is anyone else using a backup app with TruePure that they know will do a restore?
So today I'm left with putting all my apps and settings back. Not a small undertaking. Not what I planned for Valentine's Day. I need a backup app that will work, so that I'm not doing this again soon.
Thanks,

I create Nandroid from within TWRP (now on 3.0). Seems to work great.
I use titanium to backup and restore apps and their settings. I use nandroid restore only to bring back a full save including rom, apps and settings.
How are you creating your nandroids?

The two backups that I was working with yesterday were manual, full backups. I've scheduled Nandroid backups when I had my Atrix and they worked fine.

ROM Settings Backup Pro is a big time saver after a clean install and restoring user apps & data with Titanium Pro. Especially if you use a ROM that is frequently updated.

What version of TWRP are you on?
The issue seems to be a ROM problem, or something to do with if you are rooted and Android Pay getting all weird. Not to be rude, but you shouldn't blame Google because something went haywire when you aren't running stock firmware. I don't mean that in a bad way at all, just wanted to say that Android Pay has worked perfectly for me on stock. ROMs can get glitchy at times, so I try not to mess with them.
I'm on TruPure 2.6 on the XT1575 and Titanium Backup works perfectly for me. I'm running a portable SD format.

Questions regarding Norma 7 rom

Hey guys
Ok I have a few questions regarding my situation... i went from stock (never touched my rom before.. 6.0.1 i think) on my 910F with latest ota updates.. to the Norma v14.. thats what Im running now.. but I have a few issues.. incoming calls doesnt show the names, only numbers.. thats my biggest issue oh and the fact that I cannot restore my backup made in smart switch before i flashed the rom.. now I have these questions.
1. If I go into twrp and restore to the factory state that I made a backup of, and then use Titanium backup(as i bought it) to backup my phone.. will I be able to backup everything including s-pen notes, pictures, videos, and all my apps data.. and then...
2. Can I then flash the v15 Norma rom and use titanium backup made in stock rom to restore EVERYTHING to the new rom.. thus having all my data back?
3. Oh and can anyone confirm that the lock screen off s-pen write feature works in v15?
Do I miss anything? Is this a good plan?
Oh and if anyone have experienced the problem I have with the contacts not displaying, please tell me what to do..
Thanks for any feedback. You guys rock!
