It doesn't work, I've just tried it. I can't seem to find a preference or setting for it either. I guess it doesn't exist.

no, i mean wp8. i want to get a wp8 phone when it comes out. but i want to make sure it can wrap trext when you zoom in web pages.

My post was removed, cant remember what I said but it was a couple of lines, one of which said that we don't know what WP8 will be like since we don't have it or something like that,
unless there was a bunch of posts after (or because of?!) mine that went off track, im not sure what happened.

Interesting. How do you think you can use VB to better this UI? Widgets...the overall layout of the home screens? Specifics kind sir

I think I read elsewhere that the answer is no, due to the fact that the HD2 has four 'hard' buttons, but I could be wrong.
I'm not even sure I like the look of WM7. Those tiles just look slightly amateurish to me, but I've only seen prototypes. Apparently, there won't be anything like HTC Sense on it, because the OS won't allow it.

lol we all knew it was gonna happen sooner or later....
I think it had to do with the fact that its missing a specific "start" or "windows" button that is required by microsoft in order to certify your device as compatible.

WP7 compatible devices have 3 hardware buttons - home, search and back, if I'm correct. HD2 has no search button. Besides the buttons aren't programmable, so no official WP7 for HD2. Right?
Following on from THIS thread which raises a valid point imo...
The Galaxy Spica (also known as the i5700) has been blessed with multitouch support in some homebrew drivers that are making their way into homebrew kernels for homebrew ROMs, despite the official line that said phone doesn't support more than one finger at a time. Really drives home the point that "support" can refer both to the hardware's capability and the manufacturer's willingness to maximize it, doesn't it?

To my knowledge no one has discovered what model the touch panel is. Right now the official word from SE is that the hardware doesn't support it.

As far as i am concerned, i dont really care if we get MT or not. But i dont see why SE would release their top end android phone without putting a MT capable digitizer on it, whether they enable MT or not. Maybe they know it is capable but never enabled it because of copyright issues with crapple.
This is just another pointless thread, When we crack the boot loader and can put on Custom Roms we will find out if its a yes or a no, till then we can all debade the meanings of life and all the other types to topics that are there to waste time.

It might be, in your opinion, the point of the thread is to highlight that another handset of which it's maker said MT wasn't available now actually is thanks to a developer, so there just might be a possibility that other handsets sold with no MT support might not necessarily be because of a hardware issue.

they have to say something, if it supports, SE wont launch drivers for it so soon... Without know the model of the panel, no way to know.

Maybe SE will enable it on 2.1 if the hardware supports it....

bought similar gold coloured 1s when first got my hd2 and they didnt work very well

In case you have a smoker in your familiy, take out the silver paper inside of the pack,
wrap it around a pen and try it out.
You know the hd2's touchscreen is pretty bad compared to todays standards.

Yeah, I kinda agree. I look at some of the image editing apps occasionally and cannot imagine how I could get the precision of my mouse from my fingers (not that the apps are quite like Photoshop either)
