So I took my galaxy note in today to get a new 4g card. Ok..good. However, they put my note serial number in the system and couldnt add LTE. What do I now that they have my serial and know I'm using international.
All I want is AT&T visual voicemail. Any advice appreciated.

So i fell in love with the galaxy note, and right now I'm on verizon.
What i was wondering is if i could trade plans and phones with someone, so someone has a galaxy note on at&t, and i have a galaxy nexus on vzw.
would it be possible to transfer accounts to each others names along with phones so that I would be on at&t and they would be on verizon?
You would have to do an AOL (assumption of liability) for both accounts in each other name. Both carriers would run a credit check on the person assuming, the responsibility of the account. If the credit check goes through on both sides, then yes (assuming you've already found someone willing to switch)

So I US Cellular is done in Chicago and I refuse to purchase another phone if I can change over with my current one.
I am already rooted and wondering what I would need to do attempt to get the cmda to recognize Verizon. PLEASE HELP!

Looks like you're in the wrong section. This is for the international GS 3 rather than any us variant so any help probably will either be a. Harmful to the device or b. Not helpful at all

Now I have had previous Samsung Galaxy phones that I have rooted and I'm very familiar with the whole process.
However, I have never used a phone that was bought for one carrier and used on another.
I'm planning to purchase an AT&T Galaxy S4 and using it on the T-Mobile network (wish me luck).
What would be the best way to unlock the AT&T phone to use a T-Mobile SIM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285431This is what I have found, but I heard something about a USB unlock being more successful.
Once the phone is "Unlocked", and I root the device, should I be using the AT&T ROMs section, or T-Mobile? I'm going to guess AT&T because they are somewhat hardware dependent?
Lastly, will this AT&T version limit my signal in anyway (not accounting for the already possibility of bad signal)?
Meaning the AT&T version only picks up the lesser of the T-Mobile bands or signals.
If I sound like an idiot, I apologize. I've done some research and cant seem to find the right keywords to search.
Thanks in advance for any information.

I am using i337 with tmobiles sim card. I get 4g at over 10mbs and even over 20mbs on some good dsys. I usually use att roms although I've found that i9505 and tmobile work too. Just have to stick with loki'ed kernels. Hope this helps.
It does, thank you.
So look for a ROM with Loki kernels?
And which unlock method did you use to get the T-Mobile SIM to work?
The one above or a different one
Thanks for the info

This is an excellent board, I almost got my phone off Sprint, to Lycamobile USA, but still stacking with these 2 issues.
1. How to get rid of "activation not completed" message process? I do not need Sprint service on it.
2. When I dial 611 for Lycamobile customer care, the phone connects to Sprint. All the other numbers seems routed via Lyca. LOL
I am on current stock rooted MF9.
Please help. Thanks.
Oh, seems no one knows...
BTW, was able to find the sort of answer to (2) that dialing 1611 will actually call 611 and will not dial Sprint.
Your answers can be found in development section in GSM unlock and here in q&a I believe, good luck

You'll need to put Tmobile APN settings to connect to Internet and send/receive MMS. I believe you CAN also enable LTE band 4 so you can connect to Tmobile LTE. See the service menu thread on how to do that.

The best root I've used is Kingo Android Root HERE. Doesn't even wipe the phone.
