I try install activesync, but that is impossible
You can't use RUU on vista with the built in drivers unfortunately.
There is a thread (search for it) and you will find out how to get it working.

Upgrade is done with the old activesync drivers ... thats why i hate vista, you have to do a lot of stuff to reach your goal
I conferm that the rom upgrade never worked on my pc with Vista. I was forced to use my laptop with Xp. I think someone should make blueangel update utilities compatible with Vista too
Or just keep an XP virtual machine in a safe place
i will post the steps for vista upgrade later, because i am lil busy

I upgrade my ROMS in Vista using this method and it works every time.
i will made guide with pichtures but it will be after 5-6 hours , because i only have time at night

Kerio, your wiki is very good, but my device only be in bootloader mode, and, although the vista recognize my device, the program that i'm using do not run the instaler. It be only in the first screen and do not able to get informations about my device.
My device is only with serial and v 2.08 in the screen!!!!

Try to remove SD from your device b4 do the flashing.
Thats right SD card should be removed before flash (device may not go into "USB" mode when "cradled")
However I have made PICTURES and added them to the wiki (they are quite big and it doesnt look very well) but will improve it later

I'm having problems with getting the USPL installation to get completed.

but the link in Step 6 seems to have been moved, so I don't know where to get the Vista to XP drivers.
Can someone please direct me to the drivers so I can finally unclock the Cid and get a new ROM on my Arte.

i cant seem to find the old usb drivers for vista as well in order to solve the usb connection problem while flashing the rom.
can any pros around please provide some help with windows vista and the usb problem?

Guys you're right that its not possible to update or flash on a normal way in Vista. Just use an old XP OS installed pc to do this.

I would like to install the Windows Vista/7 theme to my HTC Touch Diamond2.

by installing [ Windows XP Mode Source]
search for it in google and you will find it

Worked fine for me when I updated my mates MDA Compact
now lets begin
dowenload this link first and install
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...18-1441-47EA-8309-2545B08E11DD&displaylang=en
and restart your computer
then dowenload the second link and inatall
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...9D-DDBC-4044-BB09-4F99E757064E&displaylang=en
now enter boot loader on your jam [pocket pc] and attatch it with your computer to make your computer identify it[till now you are on windos 7]
now open the [windows virtiual pc]from the start menu
it will open
you will find on the top of the windos icon [called usb]press it and choose [attatch mobile device]
now you are ready to install the cotulla rom go to it[you are already in xp mode]and begin to run it[as cotulla instructions]
now congratulatios you have done it
i will try to upload files to make it more easy

This way is okay, but if you dont have that large a download allowance (like me) then dharvey4651's way is the best: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=338473 This method work in win7 and vista as the drivers are interchangeable.
So guys today i am going to show you how to download and install APPX and XAP files directly in windows 10 pc or any tablet what ever you call it so avery thing i said to you is in this video tutorial

hello, this method was working for me in the past, but now with fiddler i can't see the download arrow anymore and all the urls make me download a file with ".BlockMap" extension
Is there any fix?
Does this working on .EAPPXBUNDLE extension?
Xap files can't be installed by any process in windows 10 I think
