Battery life screenshots (find the rom with the best battery life - Kindle Fire General

I decided to make a thread on the quest to find the rom with the best battery life. My battery life is extremely good. I am using Simple CM9. This picture isn't that good because I just woke up. I will get a better picture later.
Clock speed: untouched
# of user apps: exactly 21
System apps: minimal amount
Rom: Simple CM9

Set up Guidelines
I can see how you would want to see which rom has the best battery life though everyone uses their own device differently someone who does not use wifi at all on one will have better battery life then someone who uses wifi constantly on another. I recommend setting some guidelines like charge to 100% then turn on with wifi and do nothing for an hour or to whatever time you feel appropriate. Then after the time is up take a screenshot. Hopefully this will get you better results.

My understanding is that battery life is more dependent on the kernel used, and if all apps behave correctly. CPU Spy and Better Battery Stats that show errant kernels and apps would be more helpful. Some apps poll more often.
To do this comparison accurately, you have to insure that everyone has the same apps in the ROM, which might mean adding or deleting apps, after you agree on which ones are the "standard". Then no user apps allowed.

I'm running mine on gedeROM 1.55 at 800/300.
Battery life is pretty good, though only a fraction of my 10.1 Galaxy Tab.

Here is mine. Keep on mind that this is over 7 days.

just wanted to post about my battery experience. im at 60% battery now and its been on battery power for 14-1/2 hours. ive been out on shoot today and been answering emails and sms all day on my phone, checking facebook and instagram occasionally. i even used wifi hotspot to write a couple long emails. i took some video and photos too. on my old Desire HD or sensation it would not have lasted a long days work. the battery life on this phone is a major plus for me.
ROM- ARHD 2.1.1
Kernel - Siyah. cpu OC'd to 1.5ghz and UV'd -75%
deleted alot of bloat including Kies drivers

Battery usage NEAT LITE XWLSS vs CM10.1

I've tested battery usage on CM10.1 i NEAT LITE XWLSS, Below screens which show that CM10.1 use less battery than XWLSS with same time and phone usage.

Interesting, but I would like to see which apps are using the battery on each rom.
For me on CM10.1 mobile standby uses more of a % than anything else
i've changed to Neat Lite cause the battery drain on CM10.1 was really bad. maybe seeing the apps used and the % of drain is possible to analyze better this information

Battery drain in CM is not so big.
Something is wrong.
What s the point of this thread? Battery life? I get 3 days with Slim bean +3 hrs of screen ON time. It all depends on how u use!! More apps more battery drain...
Dont just say u get 3 days if u use data for just 10 minutes...please use data 24hours...

Rooted P607T with bloatware removed - awesome battery life!

I originally had the 10.1 (2014) Wi-fi version. It is not rootable without tripping KNOX and it had horrible battery life.
I now got the LTE version (T-Mobile P607T) and after rooting with TowelRoot (KNOX 0) and disabling all the bloatware, I got GREAT battery life right out of the box! I charged my tablet 100% while it's off for the 1st time and now I got:
- Almost 24 hours since last charged
- Almost 5 hours of screen on time with LTE and Wi-fi both ON
- 15% remaining
This is AWESOME!! I am sure it will get better after subsequent use and charge.
Sorry for the excitement, but I got much better battery life than my Nexus 7 (2nd Gen)!

Same here man! Even with 3d gaming (which I've seen many posts complaining about that in particular causing "massive" drain). I do use Greenify, Unbounce, etc. I'm easily good for the full day with it fully charged. My perspective is relative though, as I upgraded from a Note 8, which burned close to 10% just rebooting! So IMO, the battery life on this tablet is excellent, and easily comparable to my heavily modded / optimized Note 3.
This, perhaps, deserves it's own topic (and after explaining the procedure at length, decided I should just post one ), but especially after flashing ROMS, kernels, etc., make sure to calibrate your battery correctly! I think those instructions are worthy of a new topic (the info's here, but spread all over the place). AFAIK, none of the calibration apps work nearly as well as this, which is kind of the "old school" method, but it works very well! So I'll post that up, and definitely would recommend checking it out... It took me a while to figure this out, but I did discover how to do this on a tablet (without a phone / dialer) so hopefully that will be helpful to many here
Edit: Rereading your post, I was wondering what method you used to debloat? I'm currently semi-debloated, running xKat and freezing many system apps in Titanium (without negative effect), but then I've encountered permissions errors uninstalling system apps via that app. Just wondering specifically what method you used to debloat. TIA!

Whats your PCMARK..true battery/performance benchmark

Since I see so much Ignorant in the Battery thread, I like to point out (rant) some things..
1. A person 6 hour of Screen On Time usage is different from person to person.
2. Temperature can have a great affect on battery life.
3. Signal strength can have a great affect on battery life.
So with that in mind, I suggest everyone try to do a PC Mark bench, it is fair and give people a much better idea of what of what they should be getting. To do this test here are the few settings you need to set
1. BRIGHTNESS AT 23-25% (EYEBALL IT)
2. Wifi on
3. do not disable Mobile data or sync
4. Clear all RAM before start
below are the CONTROL numbers from a stock rom (pictures are from greenbot.com)

Below is my stat, using arter kernel and foreverloco rom. (I DO UNDERVOLT MY KERNEL) ambient is about 20C
I get what I get based on MY real world usage. I don't need synthetic benchmarks or software to tell me anything. Why do people obsess about this so much?

To see if your phone performing at optimum settings. The problem is there is no set controls or way to bench it properly and this is the way how.
Why this benchmark is useless? Let's say we have two Edge+, under this benchmark CPU on both runs at 1GHz all the time and both last for 8h. Now imagine that one device runs program/service that keeps waking up the device every few minutes and the other goes and stays into deep sleep without any problems. Benchmark might show no difference or just slight difference. In real life 1 device will get 6h sot during 48 h usage, the other one will get 3h sot and run out of juice in less than 24h.
Good benchmark should simulate at least 24h usage with breaks to test standby drain as well.

Maybe try analyze what app using most of your battery?
The EXACT SAME setup as yours. Maybe 1h on data, the other on WiFi
Reinstalled the newest version of rr, mint kernel. Hope it helps.

stock march also isn't something to write home about, but atleast its better than op
Well, first of all, Facebook Messenger is a battery killer.
Check your apps and the strength of your data signal. Poor strength or signal loss has a huge impact on battery life.
Also how do you use your phone? What kind of usage?
Enable adaptive brightness. I get around 4.5H SOT @50%.
I saw Facebook notification
Get Frost Test app in Apps and Games in XDA
I think it was a problem with the ROM. Now i have about 6-7 hours of SOT with AOSP Extended and Franco Kernel. All apps are the same, nothing changed.
Same for me i also facing battery problem
