Good luck!

+1
equipment also inlcudes a hugeass soldering microscope.
Without it you may not be able to solder data connectors properly. (That may apply even if you take it in for repair)
But if it's not too damaged someone who specializes in soldering stuff should be able to repair it.
Sent from my T9193 using xda
The only damage is the data-pin that is broke up. Because of that i can't flash any things

You can flash MAGLDR and clk from SD card. Click the link in my sig, I give full details in the guide for both. But if you want to flash clk you need to use the updated version that has CWM already in it.

Good call!
Wow, great finding...This would come in handy! Thanks
Good stuff
Excellent!! great Find!!
Thank you.
One question:
People looking this thread should know.
8525 and other Herm100 and/orHerms200 have same mainboard.
8525 has only empty socket for webcam or has different mainboard without any webcam socket?
I plan to have a cingular 8525 and do all roms suitable for 8525 or will I need to find specific 8525 roms.
By the way the housing is pretty easy to change on the Hermes, it only took me about 30 minutes to dismantle and re-assemble mine.
Just be careful not to damage the ribbons inside.
Thanks for uploading this. I really need it.
Houseless
Hi, does anyone know where i can get a new housing for the 8525? Mine cracked during a fight with the X. I shouldnt have ducked.

Sometimes I wonder if folk read the Hermes Wiki! The service manual, dismantling guides and even a dismantling video have been linked there for a looooong time. See near the bottom of the page:

Mike
By the way - moving this to Hermes General forum as changing the housing is not an "upgrading" matter.

Wow that's pricey. There's not even any electronics included, it's all plastic!!!! I'll deal with a few scratches on my case, thank you very much.
I have a telus htc vogue with a broken screen, anyone know where I might find one? Out of pure boredom i would like to get it working.
Unfortunately they don't seem to have parts lying around for this device these days. A peek through craigslist showed that there are used htc touch's out there anywhere from $40-100 depending on the condition. Because the screen is one of those unwarrantied things that likely are expensive to repair/replace, I'm guessing it's almost better to replace?

Hey jamezelle,
I have a Vogue with a broken power button (in the main board) laying around. If you just need the screen, I can sell it to you for like $10 + shipping. The device works great otherwise, I just haven't got the time to fix this thing...

Verizon branded, but the device should be the same, right? I don't believe that the different branding calls for different screens... (could be wrong on this one).

Drivers are different, it seems...
Really?? Im planning on buying one, and as far as I can tell, they're the same . Never listed any specific requirements to use it. Maybe one of the drivers work better then the other, but the screen is still the same...

That's what I thought but jamezelle says that he had already tried it and the drivers don't match...

there are three different screen manufactures for the vogue screen meaning different drivers. i don't remember the manufacturers names off hand, but i know dzo's android kernel auto detects which screen you have and then uses the appropriate driver.

Hello,
I want to try the MAGLDR NAND boot but my volume keys are stuck. Is there any way to change the keys to other keys or something?
Not without recoding, rebuilding and releasing NAND especially for you, I'm afraid.
Wow. I feel bad for you man. Seriously :/
Eventually I suppose there will be multiple controls available, the same was true for the native Android recoveries (= kinda our magldr). It sure won't be on their top priority list, but all I can say is have some patience..

Magldr is closed source. No one's gonna be recoding anything I'm afraid.

HD2 Leo.
I think it has to recode en rebuild but that not kind a option. So I gonna buy a new mainboard flex-cable to repair my volume buttons.
Thanks for the answers, i though mayby there is a way to simple edit a file.

I don't think it's possible - or at least in an easy way. The camera is most likely connected or inside the screen!

Can I see the specific tutorial please? If it can be replaced, you'd probably have to also modify the software to adjust or work with it.

I don't know a whole lot on this subject but I would think if you were rooted and installed a can that another droid tab runs, that you could install that driver and be good to go. Kind of like how devs got the cam working on the HP touchpad with cm9. Just my 2 cents.

These are the pinouts for the onboard sdcard. So theoretically, you could solder wires to these and plug the sd card into a PC, where the full contents can be dumped using "dd" or the like. Probably much more cool stuff too, it's good info to have anyhow. :good:
