M-releases and Snapshots are NOT upgrades to NIGHTLIES! Nightlies are always newer and more up to date than M-releases or Snapshots! "Upgrading" to snapshot from nightly can cause any number of problems.

Xposed is not supported here in this thread, neither are any other mods/kernels, issues related them it aren't nightly problems. (Xposed only works with dalvik.)
So if something doesn't work for you that others claim working, full wipe, don't install any kernels/mods/xposed/etc. and just test thing that wasn't working. If still it doesn't work for you, do tell here!
Also some people remove some files from the rom before flashing, if you do this don't report anything here before you full wipe and test flashing the rom without removing the files.
So basically only report stuff here if you are using pure/vanilla/original/stock CM11.
CM11 nightlies are nearing the end and new nightlies of CM12 will start dropping around December. CM has pretty much feature freezed CM11 branch. More info here and here.
I'm not going to maintain CM12 nightlies thread and soon this thread becomes obsolute too. I thank you all for the great work on reporting problems and helping others in this thread, what a year we had with cm11 nightlies.

I'm not the developer for these roms, nor do I work for Cyanogenmod, I just maintain this thread as a hobby. Please don't PM or spam me to answer your questions.
This thread is ONLY for the CM11 nightlies discussion, there are other threads in the general and Q/A forums to answer questions about everything else than CM11 nightlies. (Example how to root s4mini is not related to this thread.)
Arco68 is the maintainer/developer in charge of maintaining/developing CM for our phones. He isn't in charge of developing everything on CM, for example trebuchet or other feature development.
F4k is the most active mod-developer for our phones, but he doesn't work for Cyanogenmod either.
Please note that the CM11 has been pretty much feature frozen by Cyanogenmod since they are now focusing on buildin CM12. So expect missing features. The missing features may come in due time. There might not ever be a stable labeled CM11 rom since Cyanogenmod changed their build routines. More info.
1st rule of flashing custom roms etc.: No wipe - No whine.

What is knox?
When upgrading between different CM versions(cm10.1/10.2/11), you still need to flash the gapps module after upgrading as /system is wiped and it's pretty much necessary to do a full wipe when upgrading to CM11.
Gapps are Google Apps for Android. The reason why you need to flash them separately from the rom.
Notes about updating to latest stock FW before flashing custom ROMs
Flashing CM11(or any custom rom based on CM?) may break your NFC on the stock rom if you sometime want to go back to it. The thread about this problem, there may be some fix for it in that thread and discussion of this problem should be done there. (Dirty) fix for NFC on stock.
M / Snapshot / monthly releases are basically nightlies from specific time, but they shouldn't have any major problems like bootlooping etc. More info about M-releases. Even more info about M-releases.
ClockworkMod(cwm) is the official Cyanogenmod recovery. Latest version 6.0.5.1. To get the latest version and updates to the CWM recovery at the same time you update to newer nightly, unlock developer options by tapping build number 10times from About phone settings and then tick the Update CM recovery option on from the developer options.
The ROM comes with a Superuser app. You don't need to install another one. (Some apps may require you to install SuperSU app from play store, in order to work properly.)
CM doesn't come with a IR Remote app, IR blaster support may be TV/device specific.
Screenshot is Vol-Down + Home in CM.
To install games/apps to external SD, you currently need some app/mod like FolderMount. Not sure how link2sd works, but it might help on this too. See this guide.
Whisper Push aka TextSecure is in short, encrypted messaging. It requires data connection in order to work for now. More info here and here.
Our device doesn't have LED like many phones do, so there's an another notification light implemented called BLN. (Sprint variant of s4mini has LED, but this variant isn't supported and these roms aren't for that variant)
Button Lights Notification (BLN) kernel support by junkyde was implemented to the official CM tree by arco68, so you now only need the BLN app(free or pro). Using task killers, adblock plus or other apps like Clean Master may cause BLN not to work. If you BLN doesn't work do the steps in this post.
Trebuchet launcher replaced Launcher3.
[*] Regarding the issues and missing stuff on trebuchet: You can access launcher settings by pressing menu on homescreen or long pressing homeescreen. From the menu, you can scroll to get more options, the options that are not there aren't available yet on Trebuchet. They will come eventually, you can use 3rd party launchers for additional features.
Only themes that support the new CM theme stuff are supported.
[*] These roms and this thread are only for the international models: GT-I9195 serranoltexx and GT-I9190 serrano3gxx. A comment from the rom developer about other variants. It's advised to post your full baseband from about phone settings before flashing anything.
Other S4 Mini variants like GT-I9192, Sprint(JDQ39.L520 or SPH-L520), SHV-E370K, SGH-I257M, SCH-R890, GT-I9195T and GT-I9197 aren't officially supported and using these roms on wrong variant may brick your device, but if you want to root them etc. search other threads from these S4 Mini forums for guides. Officially supported means that you can find the variant's nightlies from http://download.cyanogenmod.org/ , currently only the non-dualsim international versions are supported.
Using ART instead of dalvik may cause FCs in apps etc. ART can also cause bootloops on some nightlies, example 20140222 and 20140226, check latest posts for future nightlies. (Generally ART should work just fine with the latest gapps and generally with all apps, but it needs support from app's side too.) Dalvik is still the official solution, supported and considered safe. Using ART may require more space from internal/external SD.
Xposed is not supported here in this thread, neither are any other mods/kernel, issues related them it aren't nightly problems. Xposed only works with dalvik.
If you are experiencing battery drainage, please check what's draining it with BetterBatteryStats or Wakelock Detector and the current issues below before posting about it. More info about wakelocks.
For those who experience battery drainage from wifi, check this post out.
You can't change settings for core1 permanently. Whatever setting you choose, core1 will always be restored to its driver defaults - interactive at any speed. Saving battery while core 1 is not needed is the point. It's a Qualcomm design.

You can request features/mods in this thread, but if you want something to be implemented into official CM tree, this is not the right place for that. You can request these features to be added into official Cyanogenmod rom from JIRA tracker.
Some devs like F4k are usually interested in development of mods, so they might do them. But remember: Spamming them(devs) about requests doesn't get your mods done, on the contrary it might even get your requests to be ignored.

To report issues or missing features to Cyanogenmod, use JIRA bug tracker. Reporting to JIRA is only allowed from M/snapshot releases, so flash snapshot release with full wipe before reporting issues there.

- Few people are reporting higher battery drain than before/few nightlies ago. Might be related to mobile data switching 3g-4g or kernel stuff.
- Few people are reporting that WiFi does not stay on while sleeping, even when the setting is set as "Always".
- Few people are reporting that sound problems when listening to music with speaker/headset/bluetooth.

- Plug in headphones that doesn't have a mic, try to record a voice message in any app, example whatsapp -> app freezes/crashes.
- If you make backups with cwm, the date is wrong. But if you for example use Onlinen nandroid backup app, the date is right.
- BetterBatteryStats/BBS doesn't install as system app. Temporary fixes.

Okays, I edited the first posts and topic so it should be good for both variants.
Edit: now all links should be working.
I installed CM11 on my Nexus 7, and while works brilliantly well (far better than the "first milestone" tag would suggest), the non-removable Google search bar really annoys me. Not CM's fault, but I'll be glad when they provide a way to remove it. Until that happens I think I'll stick with CM10.2 on my GS4 mini, it's doing everything I want it to.

SInce updating I cannot save pics to sd card. Even when using non stock camera. Also to delete files on SD card had to give root permission to ES file explorer otherwise was giving an error.
Anyone having issues with widgets on different rows/columns settings? I cannot seem to be able to resize them. Also I got no idea how to add more homescreens. And why are there 2 launchers?
Edit: The picture taken with front camera shows up sideways for a little while when taking picture or when reviewing it before submitting in whatsapp.

I've the same problem, (but only with some apps(if settings didn't chance after flashing))?! So, I wasn't sure if its really rom related, but i cannot do backups with TitaniumBackup on sdcard, fails with "Permission denied (EACCESS)" even if the default filemanager says all the permissions are the same, also on internal storage (read, write, execute for user (root?) and group (sdcard)). But when i use the default filemanager i can add stuff the the sdcard.
So maybe its not rom related at all, just some missing settings for some apps?!
My card is NTFS formatted btw, ..

I use the "Launcher3", the other one was even more spartan. It dynamically adds new screens for me and removes empty ones. Just try to add a widget, then you can scroll to the left.

Both laucher are from aosp! laucher3 is cm11 default and the other one is google experience!!! they are pratically the same!

Well personally I downloaded the cm11 nightly via cmupdater and then got the new gapps from acro's thread (can be found in the first post on this thread too), rebooted to recovery and just flashed them over the latest cm10.2 nightly. After that wiped caches and rebooted, all working fine.

Omega vs CyanogenMod Comparison
I have been looking for an alternative to Cyanogenmod - for just ONE reason alone.
I Currently use CyanogenMod 10.2 (JellyBean 4.3) on my GT-i9505.
It works very good, i am very happy with it.
I have been watching the development of KitKat Very Closely, i have seen various problems in various areas
depending on which make & model of phone you have.
The One thing that i have become dis-heartened about however about CyanogenMod is this: NO Support at all what-so-ever for S4 Dual Video, or Dual Camera.
I have personally used this feature and i think it is a GREAT selling point of the Galaxy S4 after the highly successfull and popular Galaxy S3.
I personally remember trying it out in the shops, and thinking 'wow, this is just soooo cool man, real time video recording with BOTH Cameras at the same time!!!' - I have personally written a statement/rant about this:

The response was a very strong argument against trying to support this feature on the basis that there simply was not enough demand for it compared to all the more popular demands, things which were obviously more pertinant to most users of most makes & models of phones out there. The whole 'Dual Camera' / 'Dual Video' was simply not a large enough thing considering that the Galaxy S4 was one of the first phones to support real-time 'Dual Camera' / 'Dual Video', even though the S4 it'self did not actually sell very well for Samsung despite the S3's success. I did try putting the argument that because the S5 is now the official new improved main master phone by samsung, that it would be in the best interests of devs to start developing support for 'dual camera' / 'dual video' now on the basis that phone as they start to improve and set new standards for what could become a very popular thing (like 'Dual Camera' recoding) that this could start to become a standard feature of next-gen phones, or at least a fad. the argument being that if they dont start development now in the CyanogenMod OS, it could make things more difficult later, when phones start coming out, the devs might get in-undated trying to catch up on code changes, etc.
Anyways, i think you now see where i am coming from.

ROM saturday night .Well been any problems that I have made recent changes in rom.s5 Custom ROM created.batary if the original encoding is two days to go.

How to remove bloatware after OMEGA V26 installation
pls advise.

- I'm running v24 of Omega rom and very happy with it except for gps.
- The last 2 roms I used were Arrow v16 and Hassan rom v7.0.
- GPX fix time in those two roms are excellent and much much better than Omega. This is my only pain point with Omega. If this is fixed then there will be no point to look beyond.

Bluetooth Issue
Hi all,
Prior to flashing my S4 I9500 to Omega v24, my Bluetooth connection to my car worked 100%.
Now it does not.
It connects, but after a few seconds after connection, there is a loud 'thud' type noise and then it disconnects and my car's Bluetooth radio player restarts and obviously connection is lost.
My car is a VW Polo Vivo 2013.
Last night I tested this by connecting my GF's unflashed Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini to my car and it worked, no issues.
Has this issue been reported prior to me reporting it / has it been resolved?
I'm in the process of downloading the v26 torrent to do an update, mainly to see if this resolves the issue.

So the new version 27 is there any much difference in performance? I've just installed 26 and seems to be very comfortable with it.
Never switches on after installation
Indie's rom is so famous across multiple forums and blogs that i decided to try it.I was on Ozcan Rom and after full wipe using Philz CWM,i installed the v27 of Omega.After installation,while rebooting,phone switches off and never swtiches on.When I manually try to switch on,it simply shows the logo and then switches off.Consecutively i tried with TWRP 2.8.1 and got the same issue.I had to revert back to Ozcan.Please help me sort out the issue.

I’m not a developer but I’m flashing ROMs since quite some years and today I’m experienced enough for this project.
The BareBone Cleaner is an Aroma Installer based tool which will debloat your TouchWiz Lollipop rom up to a core minimum in order to increase available ram and get rid of performance wasting apps and services which are not mandatory.
So get rid of all the Samsung crap, bloatware, the annoying “check cover” warning or other apps which you could easily add again to your personal liking from the Google Playstore.
I’m sure many of you was looking for this kind of solution in order to choose any rom fitting your personal liking.
Background of this Project
The original kick-off for this project was a longer temporary absence of*Edgarf28*who provides us with his awesome*XtreStoLite*rom. I used his rom since the very first day on my S5 and even I tried tons of other roms, for some reasons I always returned to XtreStoLite.
Therefore I started to develop the BareBone Cleaner to be able to choose any TouchWiz Lollipop rom and clean it down to the same level as Edgar is doing with his rom. Short after I decided to share my BareBone Cleaner in this thread Edgar returned and provided an updated rom version.
As I enjoy this project and got several motivating feedbacks from users who would like to clean the rom of their choice, I decided to continue the development of my BareBone Cleaner and bring it to the next level by porting the cleaner logic to a user friendly Aroma Installer. Now users can individually choose what they would like to clean and I will step by step add more options now.
The most important factors for me, beside the combination of performance and battery life is the fact the I’m able to run the original TouchWiz rom but maximum debloated to a core minimum in order to increase available ram and get rid of performance wasting apps and services which are not mandatory.
So what happens if you use my script?
The script deletes all kind of apps from your installed rom based on your selections down to a core level what is required for a stable operation. From that level you can add any desired app from the Google Playstore to satisfy your personal requirements and style.
Important notes
The BareBone Cleaner is designed to clean TouchWiz Lollipop 5.0.x roms running on the S5 G900F which are either odexed or deodexed.
Currently I’m not planning to support other rom types. I’m happy to get your feedback if you tried it successfully on other roms as well so other users can benefit from that information as well.
Best use is running the BareBone Cleaner from recovery right after flashing a new rom but you can also make use of it if you want to clean your existing installation. “Yes you can do if you have some Aroma installer know-how*by editing the update script file in the zip package with notepad++.
There you find the list of everything to be deleted. You can take out or add any other desired content to be cleaned.”

yup i used it on my s5 mini and ive removed 83 Samsung system apps
the device is very fast now and smooth
as for installation download the ZIP and flash it via recovery
it will open a window with an aroma installer
follow the instructions that will show
and just in case make a backup for your current rom so you can restore it if you removed something you need
So I can flash any S5 ROM on my S5 Mini (g800f) ? And then I have to flash this Mod, and ROM should work, right ?

No, you cannot flash ANY S5 Rom on a S5 MINI. You will brick your phone.

Can you post a comment in his thread of twrp with the problem so he will see it just in case he didnt noticed your message
I think the problem is related to hardware overlays and not handled correctly for this build. There is a workaround in the r4 build of the same TWRP source rev. for the Moto X Play. Aroma hangs when the zip has loaded and the splash screen should be displayed on top of the TWRP interface. It just hangs and all you can do is reboot. Just run this installer from the latest TWRP. It won't change anything until after you have made all these choices. So it should be safe to try.

Because jackeagle twrp has problems with aroma
flash it using rvr alpha twrp
So what is the exact workaround for this to flash?
Let me list the reasons why.
Quadrant Standard scores are twice as high as any custom ROM I have tried.
TWRP Backups and Restore are more dependable. At this point, I found this is the best solution for me.

I have a weird problem on my N910V Ver. 5.1.1, the cell turns on and boots normally, but when I change the displays to other settings, like setting, about phone, notification bar, etc. it doesn't stay on the same place it jumps back to original place without touching it, so I can do nothing because it doesn't stay in one place. Any advice would help. I did a factory reset, wipe cache still same problem.

I wanted to post these instructions from the Khongloi thread. I followed these for T-Mobile Note 5 and it worked great.
I want to add you will have to change the language to your language. I don't have exact details but I do remember you go to settings and look for a tab that has this in it "Ngôn ngữ" . You will see another section at the top that has "Ngôn ngữ". When you select it you will see a "+" sign. You can change language there.

As far as camera goes I have found that you don't get the server error if you change the mode from Auto to something else. I am sure the video will record also if modes are changed. The built in video player sucks. But, they play better with MX Player.
I am not sure of the Navigation bar right now.

I don't think Samsung Pass works on any rooted Samsung Rom. Maybe not even after rooting and flashing back to stock. I don't know all the details though.

There is a camera fix posted a few posts back. And as far as video goes, I don't have a problem with Netflix or YouTube on my N950T on T-Mobile. It is very usable as a daily driver. Seems a bit snappier than Khongloi's port although I can not pinpoint exactly why.
Same bugs are persistent as in other Note8 ports. No capacitive backlight for navigation buttons and hotspot doesn't work.
I am not sure what the Navigation patch is that has been posted, I haven't tried it, but the camera patch works.
Edit: ok the navigation bar zip puts an onscreen navigation bar on the screen.

yes it works like a charm, no video playback isues and video camera works fine
im on rom stock kernel
my installation steps if you need em
* wipe
- dalvik
- System
- data
- internal storage
- cache
* Flash Rom
* flash Smart Manager zip
* Reboot and let the rom settle
* Click the blue botton and Select your language (starts in vietnamese)
* change resolution to wqhd (got the same bug as khongloi rom with first startup resolution)
* go to galaxy apps and enter your samsung account info (not google play) and update samsung apps
* Optional restore your data from samsung cloud if you want
* There's a notification to install samsung apps to complete installation (select what you want to install, email, gear, health, etc..)
* enter google play store and input your google account info
* go and test the camera for video recording (if camera freezes change the resolution to FHD 60FPS)
* to configure system ui enter rom control (battery icon, remove gif animation, center clock, etc...)

Hi guys. I am using this Rom. Everything so far is good. However, my notification bar icons are not at the edges of the screen. Do u guys have the same issue ? Any fix for that?
