I'm on my 2nd TF300T. I returned it to BB because when I upgrade firmware from .17 to .29 I was getting these static like lines at the bottom of my screen for about 2 seconds. It goes by so fast that I can not even get a screen shot of it. I verified on my 2nd TF300T that the .17 firmware did not do this and it started after installing .29 firmware.
Also, the 1st one was not rooted and this current one was rooted and they both acted the same.
Any ideas or thoughts????

I figured out the problem. It was the "Live Wave HD" wallpaper I was using. When I switched from that to another Live Wallpaper or Static Wallpaper, the problem went away.
FYI for other that maybe using that wallpaper.

Anyone else notice how loose the back of the tablet is? Almost thought it was removable and after foolishly fiddling with it it squeaks.
Also the serial number sticker sucks.
The rest of it, short of the crashing browsers, is fantastic though.

No loose back here nor squeaky sounds nor crashing browsers (never used the stock browser, I use Dolphin). Yes to the sticker, apparently the sticker isn't important for warranty purposes.

I noticed this as well on mine. Feels kind of loser in some areas, not all.

Strange, I use dolphin usually too. Tried stock and chrome too to no avail. Oh well I kind of feel these hiccups will be smoothed over with custom roms

Got to agree with this. I can see it getting peeled off in a short time. I covered mine with scotchtape to smoothen it out.

already lost the serial number sticker. The FCC sticker on the other side is doomed to the same fate I fear.
Need to protect that serial number sticker at least for the first 30 days. There was guy over on xda transformer prime who tried to return his unit to someone without the sticker and they wouldn't take it back.

The serial nbr is baked in. He should not have had a problem.

Hi there.
I'm having trouble with my tf300 where there is a fine line, with opacity of 50% near the asus logo up there. I just noticed it today..
Anyone else has similar problem? What should i do?
I tested it with screen test apps and its still there. Tried remove my screen protector but also there.. so the problem might be the screen i guess??
I've not yet unlock my tab, do you think i should go to asus centre or any other way to solve this matter? Thank you for your time.

I'd go for hardware failure. If you did not unlock, go to Asus to have it fixed.
I'm running the stock ROM, unrooted, and ever since my update to JB, the screen will no longer rotate. When the screen is locked it WILL rotate, but once unlocked, it won't. Any ideas?
Do you have an app such as this installed?

Nope...but I can give it a shot. It was auto-rotating until the JB update.
Check your notification area there is a switch next to the Wi-Fi switch turns auto rotation off my son switched it and it had me stumped for a couple hours

You know what, that's probably it...I was looking all over the Settings and couldn't find it...I'll look when I get home tonight. Sounds like it was right in front of me the whole time .
Thanks for all of the replies.
Yup, that was it...duh! Thanks for the help...I feel like a real idiot now .

I noticed the colors on the N10 are a bit off. Are there any kernels with colorcontrol and init.d support?
Sent from my Nexus 10 using xda premium
No there are not. The device just came out a couple weeks ago with an entirely new architecture. It will take time for developers to get their hands on a tablet and figure out how to make everything work.
In what way are the colors "off"?
If you rooted try using an app called Screen Adjuster. You can adjust RGB, brightness and contrast. Not sure how well it works on the n10 though.

Can't get past the lock screen. Plain slide the bar to the right. Running phiremod ROM on cyanogen. Everything else going smoothly, actually for the last two years. Just started playing with the phiremod settings and tried changing the pic on the lock screen and its settings, and now can't get past the lock screen. Any way to pass it to get to its settings?

Got my problem figured out. Battery was low, very low. Plugged it in for a while. After it charged a bit, the lock screen operated correctly.
Since I'm not much for changing something that works well, I'll not be setting the lock screen on this Nook again.
Thank you for any consideration to my problem, though.
