Hi guys, I'm getting a carrier locked G2 (mobiltel Bulgaria) and I was wondering what to expect - are they locking the bootloader and if so - can it be safely unlocked and then brought back to stock if I need warranty repair? Is it possible to unlock the device and use it on different carriers?
Hi everyone,
I have tried to understand the cause of my issue with 4g. I bought LG G2 D802 32GB from eBay. It has the software version D80220c-466-92 on android 4.4.2 KitKat. I live in the United kingdom and am on the Three network. I do not have lte option in my phone settings, when selecting 4g in 4g area through secret menu it does not connect to the service although i should be getting 4G.
Does anyone know what i need to do? Do i need to flash something or root? I do not wish to root my device as i need to use the threeintouch app which does not work on rooted devices.
I've looked through this website but im confused, could i flash kdz or something, not sure which one id go for however.
Any help would be greatly appreciated guys and gals.
Many Thanks
Ham

I've just recently bought this S4 off my friend
The phone was bought in canada, and sent to Denmark for my friend's brother to use
and he now sent it back to me (Canada) because my S3 has died on me.
It is an GS4 i337m VLUFNE1
It is on official firmware 4.4.2
I want to root it to enable AWS to use it with Wind mobile
I assume the phone is unlocked because it was used in Denmark
Please direct me to a thread that will be able to root this model
I have looked at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293800
but I'm nervous to follow the method because there is a discussion about unlocked and locked bootloaders, and i'm not sure
if this method will work for mine.
Your help is appreciated.
There is no carrier logo on the back of the phone either, if that helps.
Did you check if towelroot works? Its just running an app.
I have tried the root.bat method, and the towelroot, and cannot get this phone rooted.
Any help with this issue?
The phone was originally tmobile, but is unlocked working on ATT Straightalk
I've got an at&t lg G6. Today I got it unlocked through at&t, I'm wondering if it's able to be rooted now or if there's something else to prevent root?

Yeah, there is the locked bootloader that our hardworking developer friends are facing difficulties unlocking. so right now you cannot root. I even tried converting my AT&T LG G6 (H871) to H873 and LGUS997 but still couldn't get it rooted. But who knows? there could be a way out there.
Regards.
